Straight up loved that you used a Skylander! My kids have over a 100 of these guys, been collecting since the first game came out. I've been playing around with Clay for many years now and for the longest time I didn't have any clay tools, but would just use what's around me. A bottle, toothpicks, rope for texture, and just about everything I saw could be a potential clay tool. My husband has a huge collection of bottles, so I'm looking forward to claying one out! You make it look easy, hope my first one works out well, if not then try, try again. :)
So very cute thx for tips and tricks. I have just a label I want to use. Love ur work

Have you tried using gesso before painting?
Try chalk paint, won't need so many layers of paint. Looks good!!!
