I am sure the reason this game hasn't got a re-release on current systems is because of rights issues. Considering the 3rd game isn't even called Parasite Eve is more then likely a hint to that.

Non-canon secret ending? Yes! Yes! I knew I did not have to do the entire dungeon crawl that is the Chrysler Building like it is the most obligatory section of the game. In addition, after beating EX mode, nothing is unlocked, there is no CGI cutscene played, so glad the game and its sequel completely neglect this.
Great video dude! I truly love this game and still anxiously awaiting for an HD remake/remaster! Sheeva on day 3 kept destroying me! As well as gave me more fear induced paranoia than any other video game villain/monster. I was legit terrified of German shepherds for a long time lol However, I noticed you forgot a few things when making this...as far as BP goes, the longer you go without saving your game, you get extra bonus points at the end of each day (except 6 because that's obviously the " final " battle which from what I can tell, will always give you 3000 bp). Always build your at meter to 31-32 ASAP to allow for faster and more at recharges during battles. As far as the charms the maeda gives you go, it's heavily speculated by most people that they do nothing...however, some people think one of the first 2 charms effects your battle rates and the other of the first time effects drops from enemies...some people have stated that one of the first 2 charms revived them after dying to a boss...? But alas, there isn't evidence of this happening. But the third and final one is half useless, half not useless...if by the final day, your inventory is completely full when maeda gives you the special bullets, the Narita charm (final charm) with " deleted " and the special bullets will then fill that inventory slot (but if you have a slot that's open, the Narita charm will stay and maeda gives you the bullets, thus the player having both charm and special bullets at the same time)...this is why they wont let you storw the last charm unlike the first 2 charms... Best way to fight the crab in day 5 is to have a weapon that attacks all enemies in a line, stand to the side, and go after the closest claw (but be careful the claw doesn't get you). Once you kill the first claw, you can hang out on the side and it will miss like 90% of it's attacks on aya (the only way it can really attack you is by running into you when to changed directions). Also, sidenote: day 6, transformed (non-pregnant eve), was the og mommy milkers before vampiric-dragon lady from re8! I feel like this game is criminally underrated. Easily 8.5/10. I feel like they rushed days 5 and day 6 and didn't really flush out anymore lore/story. It's like by the end of day 4, you've basically learned all the story of the game, minus one little tidbit around the end of day 5 (which to me is the longest day in the game)... Yoko shimomura absolutely nailed the ost! No song feels out of place. However, the entire ost feels like it's out of place because it seems so ahead of it's time. I don't recall any ps1 (or similarly timed releases) with ost's that go so hard that it should be illegal Can anyone explain the ending to me? Because I was under the impression that the Chrysler building ending was the true ending. And that version of eve is actually supposed to be the original eve from Japan that maeda keeps talking about...? Idk, but if it is the true ending, then what happens to aya between 1 and 2 that gives her the pe abilities back? Because they drastically change from 1 to 2...which would kind of explain that she does in fact lose her original powers, but then regain new/different powers...? Again, idk, I'm confused as well. Definitely earned a sub from this video! I would love to make a suggestion for a future video. The legend of dragoon was also a highly underrated gem for ps1 that a lot of people slept on back in the day
I love this saga ! I'm even writing two crossover sagas centered around "Parasite Eve" ! If the Mitochondrias want to take back the world in both timelines, they'll have their hands full. Song also takes more importance in the saga. Of everything humans created, music is the only thing the Mitochondria both respect and appreciate, so besides entertainment, over time, it becomes a mechanic too.
I was playing this game when i was 7 n i was so scared had to take breaks but took me around 2 to 3 months to beat it very good game! It also gave me a couple of nightmares but o well
I really like this game but I did manage to soft lock myself once when I ran out of ammo on a late game boss fight. I’m not blaming the game, I found out later I missed a few ammo pick ups and wasn’t managing my resources. Totally my fault.
Before PE2 came out, I wrote a fanfic about a Male Equivalent of Parasite Eve. He has similar powers to Aya. He was a morally grey character who sets out to find her at the end. For what reason I never figured out.
(42:34) Of the two existing Endings, this is my favorite Ending. And there is just so much more story to tell after. Sadly, most the other game doesn't follow it. And Birthday butchered everything afterward.
EA has been a thorn in gamers side for so long i forgot there was a time when they were one of the greats. Then again the same can be said to a lesser degree about Capcom & Squiresoft (now known as Squire Enix). While Tetsuya Nomura may be an excellent artist IMO his writing & directing skills are overrated at best & absolute garbage at worst. I would love to see remakes or remasters of this series & the Dino Crisis games. But from what i have heard This IP's ownership is so messy that it will never happen. Which is a shame especially considering how they botched the 3rd "sequel" (put in quotes because 3rd birthday has got a reputation)
