I love robotics so much. I might get one for my 15th bday. I know I sound crazy you all must be like, "dud that stuff is for kids". But i dont really care
Lol robotics for kids? Well there's nothing bad for kids getting into robotics but it's definitely not restricted just to them.
Nah man, I'm 15 and this sort of stuff is great if you are starting out with robotics. Relatively easy programming, plenty of good designs you can use from the Internet and relatively simple cabling.

It is because of the Linux kernel and all the startup and shutdown procedures taken in the firmware.
Shutdown takes that long as well !... :P
Awesome Unboxing Indeed...... I am curious that why turning on intelligent brick takes 30 secs... And There's SD Card port too, So Can we change information between two nxts?

I had that set but i got a rechargeable D.C. Battery I got that from amazon with the charging cable

That extra is it from education set?
The extra is a duplicate from one bag. It should have been added by some mistake, but doubt the fact it was in this box, would mean it was missing at another one.

it comes with the cable and you can also program it via Bluetooth from an iPad

ITS FAKE THAT PART, LEGO HAS A SYSTEM AT THE END OF THE PROCES OF PODUCTION THAT DETECTS THE WEIGHT OF THEIR PRUDUCTOS, I SO PERFECTS THER CAN DITECT THE WEIGHT OF A HUMAN HAIR, IF THE WEIGHT IS NOT MATCH TO THE NORMAL STANDARD THE BOX GOES BACK TO HIS REWIEW.

Yes! You could use NXT sensors with EV3.
Although you cannot use EV3 sensors with NXT.

Mazered20 Ev3 Motors can be used with nxt and ev3. same thing with nxt motors.
No only motors.
nxt 2.0 and 1.0 sensors work with ev3, just like the sound sensor works with nxt 2.0

Really want but I have to get it on my birthday D: My birthday has a lot of months to go. D: I'm the youngest one in my classroom, because I was to smart for 5th grade. That's why it's so long for my birthday D: But I'm getting maybe.
Yes, it is the best MINDSTORMS so far!
Too bad Lego didn't design the connectors to RJ standards. A little background in network cabling and you could make cables for any length you want.
Can you tell me how to program this on your computer and app on your phone?
My sister won't tell me..
It includes sw for the computer to develop your programs.
There is also an app for iPhone and Android, that allows you to control the robots you've programed with your computer.
In addition to TechnicBrick’s answer, you can also get the EV3 app on iPad. In fact you can only control, not program, the robot with a phone.

I am not an expert, but i think EV3 is a bit better and it has more options
It's motors are more convinient because of the mounting options, it has a remote which the nxt does not, it's has a medium motor which is not compatible with nxt and the ev3 can also use nxt motors. And the ev3 also has 4 motor ports instead of 3. The ev3 also has a more complex in board programming system. And the color sensor is more complex. The ev3 cannot use nxt sensors though.

I think you shod tell Lego about the sensors and moters,
I think it is stilling from Lego,
just because Lego made a mastak that dos NOT mean you shod KEEP THEM.

To get the Lego education set you have to buy it ONLY FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES (at least I think). I use the educational set at school.

yeah Lego mindstorm ev3 we have these in our school it like an program that when I first join I was so sweaty and I was scared to break the small parts because it's is so expensive
