7 was my entire life. Despite having "ended" support in 2020, it still got service update which is what made me happy. Despite being able to be upgraded to 10 today, it still bothers me every day. Windows 7, you will forever be within our hearts, even if you were released 13 years ago (which is crazy to think about btw!).

Mine too, but I didn't knew it died in 2023, I thought it was in 2021, (not because I didn't use that day) but my family had to go to Slovenia because how strict was in Bosnia, but we bought 2 new laptops and they are both windows 10s.
My dad used to have windows 95 when he was a little kid but he threw it in the trash because of its end support and he used to have windows 7 for his work but he lost his windows 7 on 2020 when that was the year of the end support

Server versions of Windows tend to have a longer lifespan on the market compared to commercial versions of Windows.. (although i could be wrong looking at 7 and XP's lifespans.)
The most recent version to end support was Server 2008 on January 9th, 2024 (7 days before I posted this comment.) which lasted an impressive almost 16 years of support.

I was born in the year 2000. When my parents got me a new computer for my 9th birthday (Nov 11), I was WAY too excited. I remember bragging to my friends that I used Windows 7, because their families computers ran XP. I used that computer for a while, I loved it. It was the best thing on planet earth at this point. When Windows 7 ended support in 2020, I didn’t really get to experience it, as this computer broke in 2018, and I got a new one, which no surprise ran Windows 10. Today, I want the Windows 7 days back.

Microsoft from the start has made a lot of OS before the Windows family. Such as MS-DOS.
Im using a Windows 8.1 since the Windows 8 was a failure, along with some of other people may be using Windows before 8.1 thanks for giving more than 1 and a half of a decade on the OS universe.
It’s sad to know. Windows 8.1 has finally ended its support. It’s also sad to know that time passes fast and now Windows 10 is about to end as it ends in 2025. RIP Windows 8.1 :(

Windows 10 Pro sounds like either a bitter end, or an end that was well deserved after going through hell and back for a laborious objective. Like defeating a villian.
My personal favorite is 7, probably because I grew up with it and how solid it was lol. The thing that gets me though is how the music ends. It's like it's saying "Don't cry, don't be sad. You were there when I came into this world. But now it's time for me to go. You'll live on without me. Take care, and never forget".
It's the first time I've ever heard this music and it's bringing me to tears as I'm typing this. One of the best OS's of all time. You will certainly be missed, 7.
I used Windows 7 to online school back in 2020 after the unextended EOS, at around the same time my older brother (age 11 at the time) played Minecraft on it which I used to watch
I've grown up on XP and 7, and man it's been a ride on what I'd consider the 2 best Windows operating systems ever. (Right ahead of 95 and 98, which I love and still use once in a while, mainly 95!) Just seeing my childhood operating system and what was an inspiration for millions just fade away makes me wish I could reexperience the whole journey here. Despite currently having been on 10 for a few years now (after my 7 laptop finally gone out), I still miss them deep down.
Forever in our hearts, Windows 1-3x, 95, 98, XP, 7, 10X and even Vista and Millennium. Thanks for being with us, inspiring us, helping us, and the several other things that have got us here. Even if they ended yesterday or 2 decades ago, they have definitely left a mark in the world.

It’s sad to know that as of right now, Windows 8.1 has less than a year of support left and it’s just a ticking time bomb.
8.1 got a lot of unnecessary dislike. 8.1 was a really good OS, and I actually stuck with using 8.1 until 2017. Even though the start screen is not that good for desktops, from my experience, it works well. I actually installed it on one of my old laptops, and it brings me back to a better time.

@@jaydenrossgarcia6435 i get that nobody asked n stuff, but the old family computer used to be at my house but now its at my dads house because i ended up moving to an actual working laptop instead of using the old laptop that worked more like an actual pc(the actual laptop screen was broken so we had to rely on another screen, such as an actual monitor to see what were doing, and the laptop also wouldnt work without plugging it on an outlet of some kind)
and windows 7 will be the most nostalgic os i will ever think of, because it was the os i used ever since i learned how to use a computer, god... i miss playing flash games on it

Windows XP was the first ever version to ever use in my ever life. It was my dad's first computer who gave it to me when I was 5. Sadly as the years went on the computer started to have some problems like the background disappearing and constantly lagging. Since 2018 I no longer use Windows XP. RIP

Windows 8.1 was all I used for the 7 years. It did pretty well, i can still use it, but there's a catch: The laptop has been broken 2 times, So, i got my other computer (which is a sony computer) with having the same OS but it worked better even though it was an 13-year old computer.

Just around 2 years ago, My sons computer was running Windows 10 but my husband runs on Windows 7. Later just a few days pass and also pass the Windows 7 shutdown date of 1.14.2020, My son told me my husband that he had to upgrade. A few days later, he upgraded.
In this year, My husband changed monitors.

support technically ended in 2015 but only for feature releases, so they could just put those features in Windows 8.1

I found my dad’s old windows XP laptop in 2022 and I can’t believe it’s been that long. It’s still good for me but it’s Also “RIP” In his life (maybe) but it’s like it for me and I found it a few days ago. It’s good but “RIP” sorry for Windows XP. In my opinion, Windows 7 was the best and most loved operating system.Too bad support ended 4 years ago on January 14, 2020.When I installed the first version in 2010, after Windows XP support ended on April 8, 2014, I decided to install Windows 7 because I was tired of XP anyway, I Still had 4 years of support,but when I switched to Windows 7 especially the design and start key,but everything seemed sensational.On January 21th 2020 I ditched Windows 7 due to end of support ☹️even though I used it for so long I switched to Windows 11.I won't cry for Windows 7 it was the best OS and will remain a legend forever.I greet you with respect from Romania🇷🇴👌

I miss my Windows 7 😢
This version was all my childhood with my Acer PC! I had a great time playing Purble Place, Mahjong, car games, and pinball games. In 2020, I had to update on Windows 10 but suddenly my old Acer pc dies instantly. We tried everything to make it work again but without success. I got a Lenovo PC with Windows 11, I was able to replay at purble place which represents my whole childhood. But i gave it to my mom because i have a new computer with windows 10. I hope to see this famous version again.

Same... I also miss my Acer PC too, it's just like my longtime childhood friend... Eventhough I cannot upgrade to Windows 10 due to some issues, I can still use my old Windows 7 computer normally.. But as the time goes on, the PC cannot boot up properly and at 31st December 2022, my monitor finally died in front of my eyes... :'(

Windows 7 was our family computer and Windows 95 , XP , 2000 , ME , Long Horn , Vista , was my favorite updates and still now I am having that updates disk and 1 old computer
