I will quote the band. YES "in the end you gotta go . Look before you leap.. But don't you hesitate at all ". When that moment hits just go. It's like going down the tripple diamond ski run... Just go for it.
The bows look quite amazing. That's the result of superior prep. I'm a tyrant when it comes to prep. No ahort cuts. My question is how do you know the holes are filled full depth? How much does that matter?
I’m so glad you mentioned the resin/glass ratio- someone’s building a ‘performance’ cat with absolutely no regard or knowledge of the ratios they’re using.
The two of you are just cracking on, and the laughter is a testament to many good years. I can't wait to see the two of you enjoying your years of hard work building this vessel. I hope your plan is to do absolutely nothing other than enjoy yourselves. At least for a while. Thanks for taking the time to share this part of your journey. Stay safe
I think the extra floatation will only make the boat faster by keeping the nose up and easing her Captain's fear of turning into a U boat commander. i think she looks great mate! (and the boat too!) Cheers!!
Seems in spite of all you've said, you've really learned how to do composites efficiently Ross.. credit Janet of course for keeping you focused. No wasting of her time, no mam ! he he PS Ross, I don't think the added expansion in width for that part of bow will slow you at all, but rather; it will make it possible to avoid bow digging into water, and lessening speed. Nicely Done !
The cat no doubt looks awesome, but I've got to say starting off with the molds was likely the best thing you did. Like the bow extensions, but maybe you should have made the shape of a dolphins head and painted them gray down the road. You should be proud!
Very nice work Ross and Janet The bows look very nice. looking forward to see the wood work, wich i am sure will look awesome, like the rest of the build. Take care. All the best. Martin
Love your work mate no shortcuts awesome your still walking so janet cant be too bad I sleep with both eyes open and lego all over the floor no way my missus is gettin back at me while im asleep with all the pranks i get her with
Every episode I think- “it’ll be a surprise what gets accomplished this time… and then when you tell us your plan I think…. That’s a little enthusiastic” … and BOOM it’s done! Your attention to detail would be well served in a boat building company!! The competition wouldn’t like it lol
That front end of that Catamaran will be crash proof. Ross. Built like a tank! I'd rather a safe secure vessel that one that isn't that for sure all day long.
I've seen a few home builds turn out good. Most don't. The term Yacht Quality has been exceeded in everything I've seen yall do on this project. She'll pay you back with years of service.
Good episode Ross Great to see how far Janet has come in front of the camera, not to mention her glassing skills . I love seeing her giving you a bit of cheek.
Hi Rossco and Janice, it’s wonderful to see you working together having the same vision to get this boat on the water. Just love your banter you have together. Keep up the good work. Really appreciate your both Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia
Looks like you’ve turned Janet into a true glasszilla. She got her groove now and running with it. Your glass is now hers! Take it safe Ross and Janet! Looking good!
Rossco ,you've definitely got a keeper ,Janet seems like a happy sweet lady that's not afraid to get right into every job you give her. Now that's pretty rare anymore to have a wife who will work right with you for years. She's a gem and you are a blessed man. The front of the bow look fantastic, you did a fantastic job.
Ross is don’t think the bulb will slow the boat down. On the contrary. By extending the waterline by half a meter or so, you should actually increase the speed potential of the boat, making up for any increase in water resistance by the bulb.
Rossco, I can't get over how much the cat has changed, it only feels like two minutes ago since you lifted the top with the crane and layed it upon the hull frame. As for Janet giving you the bird only twice in 6 yrs is unbelievable especially when my missus gives me the bird at least once a month. Also I couldn't help but laugh at Janet playing you the world's smallest violin. Bloody priceless 😅😂😊. Guy's the cat is looking awesome well done and keep up the brilliant work!!! As always guy's 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Looking forward to the woodwork. It's always the last 10 percent that makes you look like you made massive progress. Nobody remembers all the work it took to get there.
I've been 'round the channel since it were on the "moulds" and the excitement of being at the end of bias and ply and cloth and resin and vinyl and tabbing etc etc etc is at an all time fever pitch!
Holy crap, I've been waiting and waiting to see how you were finally going to finish out those awesome fore-boinks. You're building the world's very first fully fore-boinked catamaran, and it tickles me just to be here watching that happen. Jesus, I love you guys.
I have question Ross....Would Vac Bagging like Mat seems to have matstered on Project Duracell help give you an air bubble free finish and make it easier to to laminate up?
hey, is it good to keep the peel ply on and only remove before next job on this area (to keep it clean for long) . I am seeing you peel it off right after it harden.
Basically went on to laminate the stem the next morning so in keeping with the chemistry and then straight to fairing, so chemical adhearnce essentially continuous .Thanks for commenting as you mentioned it is good pratice to retain the peel ply for cleanliness.Rossco
Howdy there Rossco. How is your knee these days? The end of this build is in sight WoW!! i read a saying the other day. If you can tell me why a round pizza is put into a square box and then cut into triangles, you will understand a woman's mind!! Becareful here because it is quite a simple answer and shows how women can compartmentalize a situation in order to make it work. It is actually quite ingenious... Ttfn
Hi Roscoe- what a fantastic job you are both doing and after all this time and ball aching jobs - you both retain your sense of humour. The bow additions were very well thought out thorough and up to your usual bullet proof standards. Just picking up on your comment about production boats and infusion QC - have you seen this shameful example, the poor purchaser was hung out to dry (f’n shameful behaviour) - ruclips.net/video/d19_JsCDjEU/видео.htmlsi=nJa8TWzGmYvX_vZ7
I have seen that shameful treatment of the Masaurdon Owner.Totally ridiculous treatment and poor infusion failure.GLY should be made recover all costs and legal fees as well.Shocker.Thanks Norman.Cheers Ross
It's been a while since I've commented, life get's in the way. I want to say, I love your family. I think a family that can work and play together can stay together. The boat is lookin great! Splash date?⛵
Janet, is an absolute angel... ❤
That she is Pete.
I will quote the band. YES "in the end you gotta go . Look before you leap.. But don't you hesitate at all ". When that moment hits just go. It's like going down the tripple diamond ski run... Just go for it.
Exactly right Marc.Just go for it.
"doesn't need too heavier a lay up" - OK Ross, we believe that you won't go over the top! hahaha! Top job as always!
1st class+ as usual. What a marvelous boat you're creating, in both form and function. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michael.Such a bugger of a job that was.Rossco
The bows look quite amazing. That's the result of superior prep. I'm a tyrant when it comes to prep. No ahort cuts.

I am not surprised at all.
Janet you have my Respect for putting up with Rocco’s behavior. The Cat looks awesome. Great work you two
Looking good; what a lot of determination and patience you all have to get this huge project moving closer to completion. 😊
Thanks so much for your kind comment. It is a monster project for sure . All the best. Ross

I reckon we're a similar vintage Ross, and it's not getting any easier so hats off to you.
Thanks mate, brutal effort but then, what else would I be doing.?
Well done!! Great Job! Great viewing! 🤙🤙🇦🇺⚡️🐝🐉
Thanks mate.
I think the extra floatation will only make the boat faster by keeping the nose up and easing her Captain's fear of turning into a U boat commander. i think she looks great mate! (and the boat too!) Cheers!!
Top effort as usual, you guys are rocking along beautifully 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺
Janet’s only given you 2 birds….?.. I find that hard to believe. Great work on the bow. Looks amazing!!!
I said it before and I'll say it again. You do beautiful fiberglass work, you are a true artist.
I know I've been saying this for SIX YEARS, well done, it's really starting to come together.
Seems in spite of all you've said, you've really learned how to do composites efficiently Ross.. credit Janet of course for keeping you focused. Hey Mike.I do hope the bows add to speed but more importantly enhance the inadequate bow volume of the original design. Cheers Rossco.
❤fantastic work both of you. Well done my friends❤
Thanks.We really appreciate your comment.Cheers
Could always add a pair or bronze trireme raming bows🎯
The wind gets the sailor agitated. 🤔🤣
Great job 👏

So impressive!
Thanks mate
Great team effort.

I tend to agree mate, time will tell, along as the buoyancy is right I will be happy.

"Never going to ever have to do that again." I just laughed when you said that. Talk about putting yourself under a curse!
Awesome work guys😊😅😅
You have a good eye Rossco. The bows have come up an absolute treat.❤️👍
Thanks Damon, took a while to get it right.
lol soon Janet will rename the boat "On Her Heals".
Looks fantastic.I can only imagine, how back-breaking those two days must have been.
And you two are so great together.😂
Those bulbs look great !
Thanks so much.

Holy crap, I've been waiting and waiting to see how you were finally going to finish out those awesome fore-boinks. You're building the world's very first fully fore-boinked catamaran, and it tickles me just to be here watching that happen. Jesus, I love you guys.
Its all down hill from here bro. Thank you for the wonderful videos. Have dearly enjoyed the build. Looking forward to launch day!
Ross before you get anywhere near pitch poling conditions! You should heave to!!
That would definately be the plan.Cheers Rossco
Outstanding,regards
Awesome job guy's.👍
It all looks beautiful.
Well done!
Fantastic work, both of you
Outstanding work you two!
Noice !!
Another great effort.
I had a boss that always did that…… taking credit for other people’s work.
Mate, it my dilemma, just spend my life making everyone else look good.Rossco
I have question Ross....Would Vac Bagging like Mat seems to have matstered on Project Duracell help give you an air bubble free finish and make it easier to to laminate up?
Those jokers at ORC. That guy got taken to the cleaners.
Disgraceful eh.
Blink twice for help
I just shut my eyes and cry for help.
Ross you should know this Just be grateful that she is give you the bird it could be a hammer lol 😂
Great job on the bows mate, love the shape, how much lift do you think it will give????? I'm thinking 100kgs per bow????
I roughly calculated 200kg over the whole bow hull on each side which is in line with the previous build solution.
😂😂😂 🎻 made it in, yet Janet's 🕊 was deleted 😮 😂😂😂😂

how long is it goin to fin this boat
First! 😜
Thanks Rickster
Do you apply peel ply while wet or tacky?
Peel ply goes on wet as excess resin is soaked through and removed after oeel ply taken off, revealing a virgin substrate.Cheers Rossco
@LifeOnTheHulls thank you, that has been bugging me for awhile.
🎻 😂 ❤
Cheers Pete.

Literally had to smoke a ciggy after this video. Sad it's the last one, is that just a half inch nap roller you are using to chase drips?
Only about a 5mm nap roller. I had to have a Whiskey after that weekend.Cheers Rossco
