I love watching your sew with me videos! I sewed with you tonight while watching. I worked on the Midnight in Paris, 24”x24”, piece from one of the Open Gate Quilts boxes. It has a lot of cutting and sewing for such a small piece, but I am liking it. I love your Lori Holt blocks and look forward to seeing the completed quilt!! Happy quilting…………….
One thing I do on tiny snowballs is...make my seam a skinny 1/4 inch, then I fold it over before I trim it . make it fit perfectly then iron and trim. doing this gives me much better blocks in the end, and less frustration. your piecing is beautiful!! Thanks for doing these videos.
Andrea want to let you know preorder opened today for this year’s Jenny’s Countdown to Christmas box. Head on over and order one. The box itself is a beautiful design with magnetic closure.
If something is cut very off grain I'll rip it to straighten it out. Press the fabric while getting it back to grain. Then fold and cut from there. Some things actually should be ripped instead of cut. Velvet is a good example of that
I HATE the rip method. I bought a quilt kit from a store and when I opened it, notice all the fabric was prepped with the rip method, so that store on my list of not buying kits from now.
Another cute block Andrea. Looks good! See you next time.
