Just checked my male for a sperm plug, pulled one out about the size of your males! Instantly after I removed, his color got so much brighter and he's walking better already. Thank you for this video, has been a big help!
The judging eye is slightly less judgy today as a thank you for your service. Mongo is a magnanimous lord.
thank you
Mongo only pawn in game of life.
@@ianfinrir8724 OMG! You made me crack the f#ck up! Excellent Blazing Saddles reference!!
Never mind that shit- here comes Mongo!
this is the first time i think ive ever heard anyone talk about beardies having no diaphragm and handling them correctly to make sure they can breathe!! thanks for that piece of knowledge!!

I didn't know that 😳 either! I have a very social, female Beardie, named Pudgy...I now know to Never turn her over! (*not that she'd really allow it! Now I know why!

Still trying to figure out how I got here....I am not a dragon fan .... very interesting stuff tho 👍👍👍🥰
Thank you for not pretending about the less than glamorous parts of owning reptiles. As someone who hopes to one day own either a lizard or snake, seeing content this honest is refreshing. I want to know the nitty gritty. I know keeping any animal isn't always sunshine and rainbows. To see that so obviously expressed is nice. Thank you.
thank you!

He did!!!!
You are kind of like the reptile version of “ Dr pimple popper “ ! It’s kinda gross but satisfying 😂

Any animal or people parent agrees that poop holds so much health info. Also...don’t skip the ads!! These reptiles need our support! 💕
thanks man!
Are you talking about the ads on regular RUclips or the ones on Patreon???
@@jmtimmons on regular RUclips. I have newborn twins, so I can’t justify joining Patreon now. But I can spare the time to not skip the ads 🤗
@@jbones1928 Good excuse!
@@jbones1928 Thank you so much. I never knew that. I'll make sure that I watch them completely when on Animalguy1's channel, or any other channel that needs support.
He looked so relaxed after it came out! :) I’m so glad there are amazing people like you to let pet owners know everything they should be doing to keep their pets comfortable and healthy!
thanks!
Overstimulated those eyes closed are not a good sign. He is saying to close for comfort leave me be
Very comical the stress relief body lotion chilling in the background
oh you noticed that???lol
and no toothbrush next to the sink as one would normally find! 😝 I enjoy this channel!
I just pointed it out to my wife
I really appreciate you getting that out off camera because you can hold him and get it out easier. Thank you for not putting him in more pain just for a video. Your awesome. And your lizard is awesome too
I appreciate that
WHOOO!! That was a BIG plug! I had to conduct an evac of TWO fully oxidized sperm plugs from my buddy a week ago after a nice soak, my poor buddy's vent was practically vibrating they were in there so deep. 😭 but he started running around like a madman after, he felt so much better!
great job!
Thanks, I'm doing my best to give this lil boy the happiest life possible! 🙏💞
I’ll bet! Poor guy! Those things must hurt!
The tug of war in the beginning is friggin adorable!
thanks!
Do I really want to watch every single gory detail? Yes! Do I apreciate that you put the animals wellbeeing first, and do things of camera a lot more than many others? HELL YES!!!
thanks!
Uh ok
I’m a vet assistant and saw my first savannah monitor today!! Such an awesome animal. I’m a hopeful future beardie owner and I can’t wait. I’ve seen a lot of bearded dragons at my practice because we have two exotics vets. Your content is super helpful on that path to ownership.
thank you!
You’re so good to all your critters, bless you and all of them!
Also, that savannah monitor tug of war game at the start was awesome!
thank you
Thr second it was out and you set him down you could see he took a BIG breath lol
yes he does
Yes i noticed that too.. U could instantly see the relief
Please keep saying about the diaphragm in all your beardie videos as this is my first one and this is potentially life saving information
Mango, he's like, "I know you're all impressed!"
🤣
I remember the first time my boy had one, a few months back. It caused so many issues that were still treating. If he doesn't ablute every day, now, I need to give him a bath and check his vents. But he's doing much better!
good job!
@@Animal1Guy You're doing an amazing job with these guys and with educating your viewers, thank you so much!
I love how he stared at you as soon as you put him down but a few minutes later, he was like 'Ahhhh yes. Thank you.'
Me too! I did not know
You are so kind thank you
I've wondered about the Ad thing forever. Now I'll view them on all the channels I watch! Thanks for commenting about this! 👍😊
I think that's the first time you've said "I'm not going to touch it" and you haven't immediately touched it!
ahahahahah
It was like the big red button that says "do not press" 🤣
You're so good with an animals it's almost like they know you're the most important thing in their life that's to keep that lizard fighting with you over that little tug of war too cute
thank you
@@Animal1Guy you are most welcome and you are much appreciated I think it is a wonderful thing you can give him and you make sure you share it with those who need it very special person
You should get a head mounted camera so you can record hands free. We could see that way.
maybe....
Why don’t you send him the money then? Lol
That is a brilliant idea.. I hope he does when he is able to..
I was thinking of getting a bearded dragon. This is a lot to learn.
honestly if it starts right, they are so easy!
Definitely do a ton of research before you take the big step, and make sure to ignore basically everything anyone at a big chain petstore tells you. Petsmart, petco, and similar. They are told garbage to sell us crap we don't need that will potentially really harm the animal, and likely don't have any healthy animals in their care. If you're gonna go for it (highly recommended, they are fantastic creatures) I'd say find a reputable breeder nearest you.
@@DanyaDisko I didn't think it would take as much research as its turned into. I want to make sure I have the proper environment set up before I even looking into getting the dragon. I defiantly want to buy from a reputable person and would never consider a chain.
I guess exotic means exotic care
You gotta have a passion for them
@@susanhigh5190 yes it's lots! I stress to people in my videos that bearded dragons aren't beginner reptiles. They take way more time than people think. You can't just throw them in a tank a leave them! Tons and tons of info on these guys! I just bought a zero hypo leatherback female a couple of weeks ago to add to my collection. You research, and have fun!
Wow! I don’t have any reptiles, but the algorithm has sent 2 of your videos across my feed in the last week or so. In both videos you had to pull chunks of biological matter out of your bearded dragon’s body. What amazes me is how do they even survive in the wild without a human plucking out their shed/other ooze? And 2, I’ll bet most folks don’t know how much personal care these creatures require. Hats off to you! You really care for these animals & it shows!
It must feel soooo good to have the plug out in a situation like this. 🥰
it does
Personal experience? 😂😂😂
This is fascinating! I’m happy you’re telling about things that not many people mention when you’re seeking yourself a bearded dragon. Very important info for their wellbeing.
thank you
I can't put into words how much joy your videos bring me. Actual information and love of your animals. Thank you for all you do.
You are so welcome!
I think I'm going to start using that phrase... I'm not chubby, my height is stunted!🤣
lololol
that explains the sperm plug i removed from our little guy after brumation! he’s an overall healthy adult, but he was a bit stunted when we got him. this was his first year with us.
ah yep will happen every time, not a big deal if you clear it after brumation
A friendly tip- you can find tweets with longer, thinner bent tips at craft stores. They’re in several departments. I’d check by diamond painting supplies at stores that carry stuff for doing your own designs (where I live, that means JoAnns Fabrics but I’m unsure on several big chains). They’re handy for getting in tight spots.
You can also find very precise, lighted, bent tip tweezers in womens beauty supplies. They’d make getting in those tight spots easier.
I will look for these!
Holy heckers! That's HUGE!
Also your intro was the cutest! Who said reptiles aren't as fun as dogs or cats! 🤣
thank you
I enjoy how gentle you are with him, and how you really make sure he's comfortable and can breath 🌞
Also, I did not expect for that thing that was plugged in there to be so long lol
thanks I really try to show people the care. sometimes filming it can make it harder to do.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the support~~!!
I love these deplugging videos lol. Educational but also weirdly satisfying
Glad you like them!
Poor dude, glad he's got a good owner like you that knows how to care for this though :>
thank you!
Came here looking for a guided meditation and ended up with sperm plug removal on a lizard 🦎 interesting times 🤣
Snap.....🤣🤣🤣 funny old world right! Especially right now, although you'll be thankful you stumbled upon Animal1 Guy, he's a legend for all Beardies's & Co. out there. I find his content is both therapeutic and incredibly uplifting to know that he's out there doing absolutely all he can for the animals that come his way..

So, what you're saying is, you came to exactly the right place
Don't you just love RUclips 🤣
You’re right... I have a cat and a dog (my babies), and I pay attention to their “bathroom habits” to know more about their health. It was the same when my kids were little. Also, I never knew skipping the ads makes any difference, so I will keep that in mind. I appreciate and learn so much from RUclips videos like yours, so if it helps to watch the commercials, no problem. Thank you for what you do.
This is the lightest I've seen Mongo's beard ever 🤣
lolololololol
Lol I love how @9:05 the camera zooms on him and he's like "ahh, c'mon bruh, you were just talkin bout my poop, and now ur gunna zoom on my face"
lololololo
I don’t know what to say but I know commenting helps.
thank you
The help we all need after imaging this kind of thing stuck inside. Poor lil guy.
You are amazing. By playing tug a war with your lizard you are helping them stay strong both physically and mentally.
All your babies are so nice and calm, meanwhile, mine is an absolute maniac. He runs, taps on the glass, demands to be held, gets jealous of the dogs, and lays in the weirdest positions you can imagine. He even lays in his water bowl just as soon as I change it... all while giving me the evil eye. How do you do it? lol Seriously, how old should he be before I start watching for this? He's juvenile, about 7 months now.
lolool
Soooo many people don't even check or know that this is a thing...so many health problems can come of it and this is extremely important for people to understand. Glad somebody shows and explains this on RUclips. I tell new bearded dragon owners all the time.
thank you!
Title: The poop told us all
Me: "Ah, the good ole pee pee poo poo check!"
lol
“and if you don’t think a savannah monitor will play tug of war with you, you’re wrong.” love that i learn new things everyday!
lol he plays lots of games including fetch!
You're a good guy, thanks for looking after all these critters. You see a lot of beardies on other pet channels here but your's is the first channel that's gone this deep into Beardy care for me. I won't skip any ads going forward!
I appreciate that!
Thank you so very much for all you do. Just found you and your info has already been invaluable for my newly adopted beardie (just over 24 hours in fact). The rescue failed to do an exam. His plugs were so bad they had curled inward and were growing IN. I removed several inches but there is a lot more. He was tensing so I kept loosing the plugs. His femoral pores are also a mess. Have seen some odd rhythmic twitching that has me very concerned. Mouth rot and a poorly healed tail stub with bone visible rounds out the known issues. I have zero clue how this rescue missed all of this. Heading to a Vet as this hurts my heart a bit too much. I hope he will be ok.
I have always wanted a Beardy. But I know they’re a lot of work and I’m not ready yet. But I appreciate your videos, because when I finally get one, I will feel more prepared because of you. Thank you.
I appreciate that!
I love Mongo. I’m so glad he has you to take care of him 🥺
Thanks he loves all you guys!
I have actually pulled a few of these from my male bearded and had no idea what it was! I love learning more to help my little ones be fully happy and healthy
great job!
Now that you know what they are, are you tempted to slip one into the food of someone you dislike?
his face says it all, it looks like he's thinking:
"weirdo"
Your last video about sperm plugs really helped me out with one of my reptiles. I don't keep beardies, but just knowing that this is a thing that can happen to reptiles clued me in when one of my corn snakes developed a bump right behind his cloaca and when I did some investigating I saw the dark end poking out of the hemipenis pocket. I ended up taking him to the vet because I couldn't get it out on my own. 3 feet of wriggly noodle is hard to keep still with only 2 hands. Even with two people holding onto him he put up quite a fight. XD He's alright now and I'm keeping a close eye on it because he seems prone to getting them for whatever reason (he's not stunted but I don't have any history on him since I got him from a shelter)
Long story short: Thanks to your vid I knew what was going on and didn't freak out thinking it was something like cancer ^^
Thanks for sharing 😊 interesting to hear about. Glad your snake was ok x
thanks! this can happen in other lizards as well!
@@Animal1Guy When I did some research I saw a lot of posts about tegus and iguanas too, but it doesn't seem to be something that's talked about all that often. so thanks for educating us!
Do I own a bearded dragon? No. Will I ever own a bearded dragon? No. Did I watch this entire video? Yes.
I don’t even have a lizard and I felt like I needed to know this
good!
Right! Me too!
I've watched a few of your videos and it's stunning how much you care for these, it really shows. You love them all so much, it's a genuine joy to watch 🦎❤
Thank you so much!
He is so cute! It's a good thing he's so tame and trusts you.
thank you
Excellent educational video! Very down to earth and instructive. Glad you showed us the sperm plug and poop. I learned a lot. One picture is worth a thousand words. Keep up the good work of educating owners. Esp about the lungs!!!
ty for keeping us on date with him.
thank you

this was hilarious
New sub here. I must say watching you with your bearded dragons 🐉 almost makes me want to get one. Thank you for being clear and concise when explaining everything, and for treating these lil’ guys with such love and care. I am an animal lover who presently has 2 dogs - both rescues. I’ve only ever owned rescues because I feel they are the most appreciative when being taken to their new home. My dogs are my fur kids, lol.👍🙏🏼👌💯🇨🇦
Thanks for the sub!
What a lucky dragon to have such an attentive and gentle owner.
That must have been a huge relief for Mongo
it was!
Mongo is so lucky to have someone so knowledgeable! I myself do not have any reptiles, but love to be equipped with the knowledge. I see too many friends and acquaintances who have Bearded Dragons/Leopard Geckos because they confuse easy to find commercially as a reptile that's "easy to care for" (set it and forget it pet). I try to send people your way so they can get the knowledge right from the source.
thank you
"Hhaha Mongo Straight". Best line from a movie.
Love what you are doing! I know the rescues you save do to! So worth sitting through commercials!
You're the best!
I love your videos so much. I've been researching and preparing to get a bearded dragon for about a year, and your videos are not only informative, they really fill that beardie shaped hole when one can't get one yet. Thank you for all you do!
Glad I could help!
Mongo's color looks immediately different.. Very kool!! Thanks for all the info sharing..
Thanks for watching!
How do they not get their glands clogged up in the wild? What do they do? Does that happens in the wild?
in the wild they dont get stunted since they are never forced to me in an area to small for them
In the wild, beardies aren't specifically bred for certain colours, skin types (leatherbacks, silkies, dunners, etc), and they're very thin. There was only a limited number of them first brought into the states & not many since then, so there's inbreeding in there too. Not to mention that in the wild, I'm sure they just mate to get rid of them lol.
Also in the wild they use their glands more ofthen. The underside of the beardie is "massajed" when they run over rocks, branches, etc, and plugs are forced out before they are formed. They try to reproduce, they mark territory... Not in captivity. (But the other reasons are also true, it's a combination of all).
Lastly, in the wild... Any animal with health problems usually dies. It's natural that not all them live untill they're adults or seniors.
I love how much you care for these wonderful creatures!!!
Lol. That judging eye
lolol you see it!
I still think you have one of the most caring channels.
thank you i try
This has become my favorite channel on RUclips, the quality of video, the information, all of it is just so good, I've also never seen such a big youtuber answer every single comment, you really really deserve so much more, the reptile RUclips game really is unfair, I'll try commenting every time to help :)
He clearly is well taken care of. But he's like "dad, do you have to be so embarrassing..?"
lolololol
My husband has been wanting a bearded dragon for a few years now, I've shown him some of your videos he's content for now. Hoepfully, I can get him one for his birthday or our anniversary in a few years. We currently have a rat, baby Guinea pig, and a 23yr old cat so a new pet is kinda out of the question right now.
I’ll tell you now, get that colony started if your gonna be breeding roaches or crickets or a feeder for that beardie.
they are great pets!
@@Animal1Guy they are :)
They have a personality of a dog tbh
You must take real good care of your cat!
I LOVED seeing you playing with your monitor! Never knew they'd play like this!! Great job!! Thanx for the info snd video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Omg man can't wait for 100k - YAY! 👋
I kno im a bit of a sap with the compliments lol, but i genuinely love to give credit where its due. And u r so deserving of great success!

Btw, just cant get enough of Simba-nators (hope u dont mind me calling him this lol) death roll, so damn cute 😘
As Always BIG BIG (soft) pets for every-tile, i truly love em all so much. Coz i cant have animals where i live, channels like ures make it pos to b able to share a moment in a animals life we just wouldn't get normally - so ty ty ty 🙏🙏🙏

Oh that poor little guy! So glad you were able to help him out!
thank you
Glad your able to help all these animals out
thank you
I didn’t know bearded dragons had this problem! I checked his vent and there it was! I pulled it out and it was about an inch. I think it was shorter because I had accidentally removed some of it a couple months ago thinking it was built up urate! Thank you for making this video, my bearded dragon is looking pretty relieved after removing it!
great job!!!! Most dont know to check for it and it leads to pain or infection or death on male dragons
For the silver play button reveal, you could make costumes for all of your little friends that represent different RUclips channels that you watch or recommend. Or of your favorite episodes that you have made. Lol
I freaking love the side eye that bearded dragons give. My bearded dragon jerks his head around to side eye me when I walk in and it's my favorite thing
lol
That monitor is so funny ! What hilariousness ! My son in law and daughter have a tegu. They got the chew ball you had on and he loved it! He knew what to do right away! They sent me pictures. It was so funny! I actually think he was smiling So we will have to try the tug toy too now. Thank you, you made a tegu super happy! Do you have an email? I would love to send you the pictures.
