- IT'S FINALLY DONE! I've been working on and off on this animatic since the end of July and I'm so excited to finally be able to show it off!
Special thanks to the Saratonin Gang server and everyone who motivated me to finish this, whether it was by sitting with me on stream every Monday or giving me words of encouragement every time i made a post about this, I definitely could not have done this without you all!

this type of benry design, very round, somewhat indiscernible features, shadowed eyes,,, very good, my favorite type of benrey design, i just love that. also the references, and the hints of gay, and just everyone but gordon being all "yeah hes p rad actually" so fast which is p fucking similar to canon lets be real here............*chefs kiss*
I've noticed there's two main Benrey designs.
1. Sans but Benrey
2. Papyrus but Benrey
Which is kind of fitting because of the skeletons.

gosh the end was so cute, cuz its true, it seems like Benrey really did try to be friendly in his own weird messed up way and he just didnt know how to show that he did want to be friends with everyone
it seems like Tommy was the only one that really tried to get him always, and he even had moments with bubby
the hug was so good, it was just Gordon understanding that theres more to all of this, he is just alittle troubled and wants company
Yeah I've felt there is redemption for Benrey... though I can never get behind any of the ships.

AAAAA! Benrey's character design in this is fantastic. Brilliant. The gentle, round shapes that communicate softness or an ally contrasted by the classic hidden face and sharp teeth villain motifs!!! AAAAAA!!! The black and white contrast while most of the protagonists are primarily white,,,,, also I love the way he moves his body language and posture is fantastic. What a vibe.

too many people forget that Bubby’s a fellow space kid, and i’m so fucking happy to see that represented in animatics - also this entire thing is really well made in general :)

i love this animatic. it got me thinking though. a full benry re-lyricization of not evil would be absolutely wild. the "i never cheat, i never bribe..." part being replaceded with some form of benry's "i'm a great cool i feel a good" rant especially

when i first watched this i didn't know what hlvrai was and i just figured that benrey was the villain and that when you made him big it was just something you added to prove he's not human or something and then i finished hlvrai and. *it was not an exaggeration*

everything past "i never trick people into trusting me" is like the equivalent of eating chocolate with your eyes. the animation is just. really good
spinning in animation really impresses me cause, as a semi-realistic artist (pfp does not check out its old art) i have a really hard time with spinning characters around. your style's cartoony but its still really freakin cool looking when spin. and the other stuff like the bang bang on the ground is well animated too. same with the stomp and everythin going all CRSHHRHH. for an animatic, you really animated this. good job!

This is amazing! The way you used size and how you do animation is so eye catching, I know I'll be rewatching this a lot. Also how you put the RTVs gang and the HL2 characters in was really cool!
I love specific scenes so much! How Benrey can change the environment he is in is such an underused element of his power. His pure size changes the game massively and no one uses it to their advantage and I love how it's used to him literally pounding the ground causing it to shake, the camera moving around him and then him stomping his foot causing the ground to rapidly terraform. I love those details

Okay, I've left two comments already, but I want to describe how much I love this in more depth. I've probably watched it over 10 times by now at different points. Every single time, I'm in awe. Things I love:
- The art style! Simple black and white, and yet everyone is so shaped and recognizable.
- The expressions. OHHHHHH the expressions. You can tell what everyone is thinking at any given moment.
- It took me a bit to realize, but the fact that Coomer's pirate crew is RTVS and Holly herself puts a hat on him is beautiful.
- Gordon trapped in a spider web. :)
- Tommy trying to comfort Benrey when he mentions "loving his life".
- The references to both the scorpion aesop's fable and All Dogs Go to Heaven 2.
- The perspectives, fluid movement, and clear poses.
- Bubby. Just Bubby.
- The skeletons with the adjectives. And the little thumbs up.
- Benrey dancing Gordon around and then dropping him.
- The hecking fluidity of Xenrey!!!!
- Science Team friendship has my whole heart.
- The Benrey TURNAROUND.
- The rocks rising up??? Coomer grabbing Bubby.
- The Benrey smile shadow.

Okay, was this the reason I finally watched the lego movie 2? yes. but also people aren't talking about the fact that in the movie, she really isn't evil, she just wanted to make friends and why does that fit Benrey SO MUCH MORE. God this song was made for him and I love it so much I've seen this like 20 times

This is so good!! The characters match perfectly and I love how you portrayed Benrey's shapeshifting and dancing on the sweet voice bubbles. The gay little moments at the end are extremely good. Love this!

Everything in this animatic is just *chef kiss* PERFECT! And, an added bonus, the song actually fits Benrey (if you have seen Lego Movie 2, you'll get what I mean.)

hi yea, back again after 3 years and rewatching hlvrai again, and i gotta say that this animation still give me actual chills when the beat picks up and benry slams his fists like a toddler to the tune and when he slams his foot down and the ground splits and rises... such good shit.. i dont really know what youre up to these days frostios but your an animatic and artistic genius and i wish you well on your future projects and just in general!

I want to say this finally got me to HLVRAI, the animation is so well done and it causes me to wonder if Benrey would still be evil if Gordon became his friend.
I mean the plot of the original is she's not the bad guy so its 100% accurate

This animatic is actually amazing, The style is so simple but still stays true to the og characters so you know whos who and they didnt get lazy half way through, and i didnt even mention the face expressions. they put so much effort into this good job

I’m sobbing this is so so freaking good!! The animation and perspective is so smooth and amazing and the little storyline is wonderful and I feel like this song captures Benrey’s energy very nicely (I also love the lego movies tho soo) 💕
