      Studying a bunch of sales . I am thinking about selling cars. Used to do door to door security sales and steak sales. Did ok.
      People didnt really WANT IT.
      When I want something I want it.
      Example. I want breakfast. I can DRIVE MYSELF CRAZY about the real cost of eggs bacon toast and coffee BUT I WANT the experience of a restaurant cooking my eggs .
      And sometimes there is nothing wrong with that. If I want it I want it. I'm not throwing my money oyt into a void IM getting something for it and it's something I WANT! And sometimes I NEED IT. And thats even better.

    Wow, I read this after a recent experience I had to share. I stopped at a dealer to look at a new car I had seen online. I'm super qualified with an 820 credit score. First of all, there is NO parking at this dealership. Finally I find parking and go look at the car. Finding a salesman was not easy and when I did, he never introduced himself or offered to get keys to the car. He just kept rattling off the rehearsed dealer questions (what are you trading in, cash or finance, how soon do you need a car). When i asked about the advertised rebate, he had no clue and no it was not an act. Again he rattled off stupid dealer questions. When i asked about features, he had less than no clue and starting reading off the maroni sticker (I can read....lol). Needless to say this was going nowhere so I left. Shame on the dealer having no parking and having a "salesman" who doesn't know his ass from his elbow. Car sales are EXTREMELY EXTREMELY PROFITABLE and the dealer lost out on a good $5,000+ net profit from their ineptitude. Even if the "salesman" was new he should watch some of these excellent training vids on youtube... the difference would be in his wallet.

      Ironically I am curious on becoming a salesman for cars and I am studying from RUclips videos and I see there is 2 types of salesmen...the old fashioned and pushy and scripted, and then the newer more relaxed and customer focused type. If I go to be type 2, then there is no need to defend the price and the whole process might be faster overall too maybe. Only one way to find out.

    I get while salespeople ask about your credit. They don't want to waste time with somebody who can't buy a car. But as a customer it's still a very invasive question. I know what the car costs, my expectations aren't silly about payment terms.

    • @Brian.Maxwell
      @Brian.Maxwell  3 года назад +1

      It can be very invasive if done at the wrong time saying the wrong thing but every adult over 21 should know they have to share that information to purchase a vehicle. The difference is asking them to share the information rather than give me the information would make a world of difference

    • @zjones9876
      @zjones9876 3 года назад

      @@Brian.Maxwell I understand that. And I know some people would say they have better credit than they do in which case it's a waste of everybody's time.

    As a customer i have no intention to come inside your showroom on my first visit. If I am there I have a specific car on your lot. That is where I want to go. I likely will want to test drive it. When we get back I will return to my car and leave. I will do that 6-8 more times and then pick the 3 or 4 that I am most interested in. At that point I will contact the salesperson I talked with and ask you to give me your best out the door price including all taxes, title and license plus any additional fees. You will have 1 hour to email me that information. From there I will choose the best and we will negotiate the out the door price.

Sounds silly, but when someone is close to the screen like this it can feel uncomfortable, like they're invading my social bubble. The stick will take you out to conversational distance as well as provide a good angle.
