I really enjoyed the E-Scouting episodes from last year and these abridged versions that add a few more tid bits are helpful as well. I am hopeful next year I will get an opportunity to chase some wapiti. With a bow in the peak rut with them thunder bugling would be EPIC, but even rifle season which is what I would do first would be sweet. Thanks for sharing. Good luck in the year of the elk for the Fresh Tracks crew and to whomever gets drawn for the hunt at the RMEF Christmas get together.

Peak rut September 8th? 😂 they aren't even bugling yet in Montana. Peak rut is the end of September.

Randy, How would you target cow elk during the rut? All I the info I can find on elk hunting is how to kill a bull. I don't see much info on cows. How do you get by all the eyes and ears, as you say? Thanks in advance sir!
