back to a time when they played music on the radio, the stuff they play these days you can't even call it music because no one know what the hell it is, miss the days of nu metal, Limp Bizkit rules.
amazing how much they achieved in just 4 years (97, 98, 99 and 2000). Must've been the craziest years ever. Now they are back together, starting a new US tour, getting ready to visit south america again (im from argentina, and i saw them live for the first time in 2011). LBF
I was 10 y/o when I bought Three Dollar Bill Y'all! I wanted to buy Linkin Park but the store did not have the LP tape and he suggested Limp Bizkit. I was like - well, the names kinda sound the same somewhat and the cover art looks cool. I took it. Started playing it iny portable cassette player. And after the into I was like - what the hell is this, holy shit!!!!! I have never heard any band screaming like that and playing such energetic music. Linkin Park and Rammstein was the heaviest I heard at the time. I was like a drug addict hooked to this tape. I would not give the tape to any of my friend even for a day coz I just could not handle not listening to it even for a day. Bunch of 9/10 year Olds would come to my house and we'd just sit there listening tho this precious record on repeat. I m sure many can relate to this. We were really poor and it was a great trouble to find any metal/rock music. Man, amazing times to be honest. Each song was precious like gold for us.
@@greaseball2425 Well when you're a kid, you definitely think this type of music is heavy/heaviest ;) Also, this genre was the gate way to metal for a lot of kids, including myself.
God I saw this band so many times. I have still have an autographed picture of fred and an the album cover for Choc Starfish signed by the band layin around somewhere.
I have good memories from listening to limp bizkit in my teen years.. I would have been around 16 during all of this and anytime I hear the song nookie it brings me back to visiting California for the first time and nookie had just started playing on the radio and on MTV.. aaah good memories
For me it was 96, but 99 was crazy. I was all strung out at the time. Now I'm a respectful citizen of society trying to do what's best for my family. Wow how times have changed, but not really bkuz more people are strung out today den back n da dayz. I can say I've been seriously humbled by what I've been through n seen tho.
These guys were huge when I was 17- 21 years old. Had a lot of fun at partys, cruising, bars and people's houses. Everyone jammed these guys back in the day. I saw them live in dallas in 99 I believe. They were really good their first 2 albums. 3 dollar bill and significant other were good. The chocolate starfish album is when they fell off a cliff imo. Wes left and they went way to poppy for their original fan bases taste. It was all down hill from there. Lotta good times though.
i remember most of that stuff, incredible times. i remember seeing them on mtv back in 98 on the spring break when i first seen them i knew they were going to be big. there wasnt alot of mention of limb bizkit back then, you had to read zines and know friends who went to shows to know this stuff. the new years is definitely one of my fav moments and the best mtv new years imo. it was in 98 going into 99, new years.
another thing most ppl dont know at the same time on that new years, is that kid rock was djing for the party, this was before he got mtv famous lol and when lim bizkit was performing it was uncensored, but when they showed the 2nd showing it was censored, back then mtv was censoring the 2nd airing of any new years special or awards show.
I remember every garage rock band back in 00s would always have a guy thinking he was the next wes or Adam d someone always ended up with a dumb hat or cape.
fuck man I would of backed down on that jump off stage hahaha I remember lending out on cd significant other to mates at school saying you got to hear this dude along with slipknot and korn fuck I feel old hahaha
So, was this pre-2001? Otherwise, where is WWF/Limp Bizkit moment where WWF got the rights to use "Rollin'" for The Undertaker. At would be AT MOST #2...behind the Nookie Video shoot.
even though bizkit is back together ive heard there new stuff live on youtube and gotta admit they just dont sound the same they dont sound nothing like they did back in their hay day but that happens same goes for korn alot of bands just lack the intensity and pure rawness they once had
I never realised that girls were on one side and guys on the other in the Nooke Video... Fred Durst... you're not a great director or musician.. sorry. BUT You're the perfect frontman for whatever Limp Bizkit was, and you deserve respect for that.
back to a time when they played music on the radio, the stuff they play these days you can't even call it music because no one know what the hell it is, miss the days of nu metal, Limp Bizkit rules.
No it's just were the old people now lol
@@basskracker8730nah music did genuinely get worse.

Totally relate man. Wes Borland was my hero when I was that age.
Linkin Park and Rammstein the heaviest? What's up with SLAYER!!!!

I am so glad I was alive during that time.
@@greaseball2425 that genre was already over by that point

DJ lethal is back now
jeah, the dj does that
good ol' times :-(
The thing that set Limp Bizkit apart was Wes Borlands guitar. That was so integral. No Wes Borland... no Limp Bizkit.
Have you heard their album results may vary ?? It was without wes
i think it starts from 10 and finishes to 1
I miss those days back when nu metals were the best i always watched MTV that day but Idk if there is nu metal this generation?
