Sherri and JJs easy going Southern styles, just perfect for these clips As my Wife and myself will be going on a cruise out of Miami on this ship in Feb24 i have found the heads up here, very useful. Thanks Guys.
I am so glad that I found your channel. We are going on our first RCL cruise on the Explorer of the Seas for Christmas and your vlog has been so helpful. Thank you!!!
[2] One of my tips is this: if you are uncertain about an item on the menu, ask the staff about it. Second tip: if you want to avoid both waste and overeating, ask for just the part of a meal-item that you want. E.g., if you want to taste the seafood in Seafood Linguine (or any other pasta dish), or you like spicy food and there is a curry/Indian dish (often with roti, and nan, and pappodum!), simply ask the waiter to bring you only the seafood and the sauce, or only the curried portion, without the bread/pasta/extra calories. That way, you won't be leaving unwanted things on your plate, and you will be able to try more dishes without being stuffed and sick later on .. . .
After doing a galley tour, I learned the dishes for the evening are pre-plated in large numbers for the waiters to pick up. I’m not sure customizing multiple orders each evening would be efficient use of the chefs’ or waiters’ time. It seems some waste is unfortunately part of bulk food preparation in any business. 👍🏼
[1] Circa minute 20:00, yes, portions are trending smaller exactly because people have tended to waste a lot of food and businesses, including cruise-lines, are seeking to be more environmentally responsible, and guests are also become more health-conscious. Waste drives both waist (obesity) and costs, which impact prices to all passengers. Therefore, it is in everyone's best interests to take small amounts of things, taste them, enjoy them, but at least finish whatever you take, and neither overeat nor waste anything. . . .
Hi Jim! Yes, we love Mio, and it's convenient to take with us. You will have an amazing cruise on Wonder!! The downside is you'll have to temper your expectations for the ships you cruise on after her. lol.
So glad I found you! Love your commentary! My husband and I are going on the Explorer of the Seas on April 1st! My cousin and her kids are going too! So there are no more Broadway shows? I was so excited to see that. Hopefully, they will bring that back soon. This is my first time on Royal Caribbean. I have to watch all your videos now! And btw, you are Gorgeous!
We’re glad you found us too! Some royal ships still have Broadway shows, but Explorer does not. However, the shows they have we thought were great. Have a great cruise in April and let us know if you have questions along the way!
I believe that one is from thredup, a secondhand clothing site. If you know what sizes you wear in certain brands or are generally always a certain size in clothing, it’s a great source for less!!
Koala bear. So we finally went on our Explorer cruise. I didn’t care for the banana cake because it had whipped cream between the layers. And I tasted the pizza in the cafe promenade which I didn’t care for.
I've noticed the food in the WJ isn't what it was before the shutdown. Not sure if it's staffing, food costs, or what. Generally, though, the food on board is better than what I eat at home, so it's hard to complain much. lol.
Cruising to Cozumel soon?! Check out this video to help you navigate the port and decide on an excursion! ruclips.net/video/Z4OE_29w_V8/видео.html
