Saya orang Kelantan. Saya upload video ni untuk kita sama2 menghayati dan mengetahui adat resam dan budaya bangsa lain. Bukan untuk mengutuk atau menghina budaya orang. Kalau tak suka, diam atau tak payah tengok. Tak rugi pun...
The traditional "kuku" dance of the Tausug people from the Sulu Islands and Sabah. This dance is the most Asian of all Southern Philippine dances because the dancer must have agility and flexibility from the shoulders, elbows, and wrists. This pangalay is done especially during weddings or other party events. The male equivalent of Pangalay is Pangasik and the features of the movements are more for self-defense, while the features of male and female dancers are called Pangiluk. The original concept of Pangalay is based on the pre-Islamic Buddhist concept of male and female heavenly angels (Vidyadhari) common as characters in other Southeast Asian dances. This modern and popular dance among the people of Mindanao, Sulu and Sabah is called Pakiring, and emphasizes movement from the hips (kiring-kiring) more than traditional dance. Thank you for uploading this video. Love from Sulu.❤❤❤
i love this song.., the part of my soul i think because i'm bajau suluk...i don't know which one is the real lyrics but i we must know that all race in malaysia also a part of race in another country.. does'nt matter where we come from just think about our sweet and lovely culture where we can find it with our own race.. so don't judge as u want .. if you like it just listen and enjoyed it, if not just ignore..a simply thing we can do.. but for me wherever we are, love you culture and race.. I LOVE BAJAU SONG... thanks for who introduce this song in new era.. :-)
I’ve been searching for this video because these two ladies have the best version! They both dance gracefully but I love the lady in the dark outfit. I enjoy watching her dance, every thing is in sync, her hands, arms, head and how she looks at her hands every now and then! They are both very charming too! Watching from SF Bay Area California!❤️
they dance gracefully, im not living in the south of the philippines but as an artist they gave the real meaning of the song and dance. i watched all dayang and pakiring but i think these is the most....
this song is very common in the East Coast part of Sabah, Malaysia. Its performed by Bajau-laut race during occasions, like gatherings, or cultural nights..
Senangg sajaa tu kann ..klu sudahh mabokk ckitt bahh..bejogengg pusingg2 smbil kasih gerakk tu jari seja haha..yg pnting begerakk bdanmu orgg bilanggg hahaa
Well, dayang-dayang has many different variants/versions available online. From what I know, there is a version of tagalog, ilocano, cebuano, tausug, and malay variants of this song. Most of which, are available online.
And yes, this song is mostly popular in the Southern Philippines, Including basilan, tawi-tawi, and sulu. This is also popular in Sabah, which is a state in Northeastern Malaysia.
Let me just say that the populations of Sabah east coast in Malaysia have much similarity in terms of culture, traditions, languages & delicacy as of the Tawi-tawi in the Philippines. Similarly as in Peninsular Malaysia and some parts of Indonesia. I am a Malaysian Bajau myself and do understands some of those similarities between the Malaysian or the Philippines Bajau. History tells...nothing sucks! Similar...but still different thou
It's Always fun to saw how much people of a northern or southern in a country can have a war about nothing lol, this ding is amazing in a lot of versions point
I'll try and answer this as best as I can. Im a Tausug. That song Pakiring is in Siamal or Badjao dialect and the term "pakiring" refers to the wiggling body and arm movements seen in the dance.
Hi Jason. It was a bajau dialect which is well known as Binadan as well.Basically Bajau dialect came from one tribe but has different accents such as simunul, tandobus, tabawan, ubian etc.
@ nyvs18: Because its from Sulu: its either Samal or Badjao dialect. btw, rinda05, could you add "philippine" or "filipino" into the tags, as you spelt "philippine" with only one "p". thanks :-)
Hello good day everyone. Could someone please tell me what kind of dance is this? And what kind of occasions does this dance is usually perform? is it for festival? Wedding?
this we call it world dance bcoz its combine all the type of dance in the world, u also could see this is a raver dance in slow motion 🤣.. just kidding.. this used to be wedding event. hope answer the question.
