@Karl M thanks. I mainly do tarot but I had so much to process after watching the finale. I didn't even become more than a casual shipper until 15x18 and then they buried their gays so deep. Once you know for certain cass loves dean and you can see how that manifested on screen, you can begin to see that dean returns it but since dean repressed everything... of course hes not going to come out and and it.
There was even a line Jenson changes where dean said I love you and he changed it to I need you. Not because he had *any issue* with that being true, simply because he felt it was out of character for dean to say the words.

The vibes we got from Tombstone are the vibes we deserved, honestly. What a great big damn win. I think that was very fitting that they brought Cas back just in time for this sort of Case Episode that was themed specifically to the one thing that has never failed to make Dean smile. The thing that has literally made him beam throughout several very dark seasons of the show. They brought Cas back and Cas = Cowboys. Dean's enthusiasm for having things he enjoys. Dean admitting to watching cowboy movies with Cas and that being something domestic that he gets joy out of. And of course Sam's observations and knowing Dean's tells. I do love the emphasis on the healthier aspects that came out of the boys living in each other's pockets lol. I digress. Thanks for sharing this!!!

You would have to be very blind not to see everything that the actors, directors and screenwriters did with respect to that relationship, the jokes with double meaning, the worry, the suffering, the thousands of characters saying about Cas's feelings for Dean. For example, if you compare Dean and Sam for how they behave with Castiel, clearly their attitudes are different, Dean goes completely insane or depressed when Cas leaves or dies, on the other hand Sam easily surpasses him, it does not even affect him to the level Dean even ends up yelling at sam "you don't care but I do". It's a shame they didn't risk confectioning at the times they had planned, it would have been very entertaining to see how idiotic the characters could be with that. It did not even need to be explicit, it would not be the first or the last series that leaves romantic interests in the second and even third plane. I insist one would have to be very blind not to see what the writers and directors did, they even made a chapter to explain that angels are angels, so if we leave the labels aside, castiel fell in love with Dean's soul of selflessness and affectionate that he was, and if Dean fell in love with Castiel, he fell in love with an angel that from day one Dean always believed that he did not deserve to be saved by an angel. a pity that it took so many years to write to the character that if he was worthy of true love and be saved by that angel.

If you want to interpret dean as heterosexual go ahead, but there is plenty and more upon which to base a bisexual interpretation of him. And that bisexual interpretation is perfectly valid and supportable, even if you do not agree with it. He is a fictional character. He can be interpreted in multiple valid ways. However there is a ton of evidence that several writers and directors of the show intended to portray him as bisexual and/or bisexual *coded* which if you dont know what that is, go learn. Dean is the big baby he is in this scene. He throws his joy in everyone's face and enjoys the stupid little things he enjoys when something is just going RIGHT, and he looks so naive when he simply says the reason for his good mood is having Cas back. It was hard to see him as that hard, bitter, hopeless man - he had to endure and lose so much, and what broke him in the end was losing Cas. That was the only thing that could do that. Destiel has never been my thing but I don't mind it either way and it annoyed me on behalf of everyone who spent years shipping it when they made Cas declare his love only to be killed 5 seconds later. Anyway fictional characters are fictional. It doesn't matter if someone sees them as straight or gay or bisexual or asexual, it's not hurting anyone so long as it's kept to fictional characters. Let people live and ship what they want even if it's not what you like because it literally doesn't affect you in any real way.
I was barely even a casual shipper until Cas declared his love and then I was just like... omg... they were right?! What did I miss?! And then I started paying attention to things and reading blogs and really understanding where the shippers where coming from. Season 15x9 is one of my favorites because Sam saw a vision of Dean so broken over the loss of Cas. It's so clear how he feels about Cas. And the prayer in purgatory was icing on the cake lol

15x18 definitely Castiel confessed "something" (love) to Dean. You cannot say that, he said something like fraternal "love" or love for a "brother". If that were the case, things would get even worse and weird...Hmm, for some reason, it made me a little curious that a character like Dean always received interesting compliments or moves from his fellow man. (Dean was pretending to be an FBI agent in a cafe trying to get the two girls talking... Absolutely interesting...You will see.) + Why aren't the same unexpected things happening to Sam (just like Dean.) So why did they have to leave Dean in such a situations? Okay I'll break this down cause people seem to get mixed up with Dean's sexuality. Dean is not gay. Let me explain. In episode 12x10 when they (Dean and Cas) were ignoring each other in the car on their way to meet Isham and Benjamin they were talking about Benjamin and his vessel? Well his vessel is a woman. Cas differentiated between the two. Benjamin is an angel meaning no gender while his vessel is a female. Its the same with cas, his vessel is a male while he's just an angel (i know I'm using he but idk what else to use) but yes Dean is not gay he's not attracted to Cas' vessel but Cas himself the angel which doesn't involve gender. So technically he's not gay and neither is Cas. Idk if you guys get where I'm coming from but that's that

Good, I've noticed that this person is ALWAYS commenting on destiel videos just to be annoying and very rude, idk what is wrong with them but when you call this person out about their ways and such they try to gaslight others of being rude and "that they don't leave them alone". Like... if you don't like a certain ship just... don't interact with the content? His response is completly different from Sam's and sam seems to be trying to tease that difference out of him but realizes that Dean's not ready to face it so he let's it go. Look at the symbolism in this scene. Its shot from INSIDE A CLOSET. Sam opens the closet and tries to coax dean out but dean doesnt so sam closes the door.
Yeah, tbh, it's sorta the context of the season that makes this part make sense. For the first part of S13 Dean had been angry / depressed / lashing out. In 13x05, Sam is making so much effort to cheer Dean up with his usual go-tos (burgers, beers, letting him blast music, saying they could go to a strip club) that Dean notices he's been nicer than usual. And yet, it still doesn't work; in that same episode, Dean doesn't hesitate to temporarily kill himself to help the ghosts. He meets Billie and it's stated outright that he 'wants to die.' He has literally hit his breaking point and between losing Cas and Mary being in the other realm, he has literally lost his will to live. But the episode ends with the reveal that Cas is alive followed immediately by this fun cowboy case episode. Suddenly, Dean is extremely giddy and full of life. So much that the other three are like "wow." They joke it's because he really loves cowboys but I don't even think cowboys woulda cheered him up this much if Cas was still dead. Sam picks up that too, that the reason he is so happy might be something else. That leads to this conversation scene! Dean agrees Cas is the reason he's so happy but says nothing more on that. But Sam's "oh is that all?" reaction implies he thinks it's even more. Sam is obviously happy to have Cas back too but there is a noticeable difference in not only how the brothers cope with losing Cas and their reaction to getting him back. It's that difference that makes this scene so interesting. Sam is basically saying "Geez Dean, I'm glad to have him back but like...you're really REALLY glad to have him back huh?"

Cas is indeed romantically in love with Dean. But Dean really isn't. It's really just a friendly love like besties, Platonic Love to be precise. You'd understand if you had one(do you?). Sam doesn't feel more happy because they really weren't best friends they're just friends. They don't share the same bond as Dean and Cass. Even before purgatory, Sam doesn't share enough moments with Cass to call him his Best Friend, Dean did. Dean didn't even reciprocate Cass' confession in the final season, i think he always knew Cass had feelings for him but didn't bother to open it up because he knew himself that he doesn't feel the same, all he knows is that Cass is and always would be his Best Friend, a family, regardless of Cass' feelings for him. Dean actually had like a tone of doubt (don't know if i used the right term, my English is rusty) , on Sam's questions/statements. Implying like aren't you(happy) that Cass is back. Like Dean was thinking that Sam should be overjoyed too. But because Sam wasn't really like best friends much with Cass, he don't feel as much joy as Dean did. It's like with Rowena and Sam. Sam was like very very hurt when Rowena died but Dean wasn't as much affected. Sam here was kind of questioning Dean because i think he knew Cass' feelings for Dean and was wondering also if Dean feels the same. Dean then denies and i think it's true. Cass and Dean are really close that everyone would really question if it's more than that. I said a lot LOL. But really, Why do we always have to romanticize everything HAHA. But i still respect your POV. Just stating my own oppinion/POV as well.
You are 100% correct. Destiel fans don't know how to differentiate fandom from canon. I had my doubts during the seasons but after the finale it's quite clear that Cas loved Dean and was in love with him while Dean loved Cas but was not in love with him. Maybe that will change in paradise, since Cas will no longer need his male vessel. I think Dean would definitely fall for him if he took a female vessel... but we'll never know.
I respect your opinion, my dawg. While Cas' feelings are actually canon, Dean's isn't and that's the problem. I like Destiel--it's cute and if they weren't mad at each other every other episode they share it would be great--but Dean's feeling are never confirmed, so you can't say he really is in love. I really dont understand why dean couldnt have either confessed his feelings in the last episode OR been to scred to do so and then be completely ruined at the fact that he never got to tell Cas. Maybe show him having a really rough time, like im talking full on depression, locked in his room wont talk to anyone depression. Horrible nightmare where he wakes up screaming. And then have a scene where he finally breaks and tells Sam and its emotional and THEN sam could say something to cheer him up, like "you showed him your love every time you smiled at him/saved him/risked your life for him" sth like that. In doing this you reestablish the strong bond between the brothers AND Sam is the right person to say that, as he could argue that he also lost someone wothout having had the chance to tell her that he loved her one last time, Jess. This doesn’t sound like Dean at all. He spent 40 years in hell torturing souls and being tortured yet he never once woke up screaming or hid in his room. He doesn’t deal with his sht like this. I remember him only one time being so desperate, hopeless and lost that he hid in his room but he never the less always kept going and fighting. That’s his way of dealing with emotional distress. He goes out there to hunt things and safe people. That’s because of the anger inside him that builds up from repressing his feelings and not talking about it. I think there is no need for Dean to confess his feelings. He loves cas in a platonic way and everybody and their moms know. I like the ending because if I remember correctly angels aren’t capable of understanding let alone feeling human emotions like love. They don’t every love god. They fear and worship him. So i think it was a Perfect conclusion to his character going from stone cold angel of the lord to angel who truly understands and feels true love and gains this human side all thanks to the love he has for Dean.

They were taught to “love” god’s perfect creation and their mission was to protect it as stated multiple times. Castiel keeps reminding his brothers of that very mission. So he was just following orders. Cas learned about human emotions when he became human. He felt them and that’s why he knows what truly loving someone feels like. They even state various times that humans are better then angels specifically for their capacity for love. You can agree with this or not but if you look at it from a logical point of view then the one thing that grants humans the ability to love is the human soul which is so complex and unique that even god himself can’t replicate it. Angels don’t have souls. Ergo they cannot love. Cas was cast out because he was a rebel who betrayed his kind for humanity and did real messed up shit. You can argue he did it for dean but I think that’s just not sufficient enough as a reason. He did it because he believed in his mission to protect humanity and he sided with sam and dean because that’s their mission as well. Feelings came much much later.

I have watched SPN numerous times and not once did I ever get the impression that either Dean or Cas were gay/bi or in love with each other. I always took Cas' feelings as wanting a family/brothers (since he was an outcast of Heaven) and simply getting too close to his charges....and Dean, well Cas was the one who pulled him out of Hell, so wouldn't you have a tight bond with that person? Frankly, I don't care either way and maybe I am just really unobservant but if the writers really wanted this to be known, they should have made it more obvious. And not just, "Misha said it in an interview."

actually, I think his reaction to Lisa and Ben was very similar to this reaction to losing Cas. He completely shut it out and refused to talk about it at all. Both times he told Sam not to mention it. He was much more hostile towards Sam the first time (with Ben and Lisa) but he got the same message across with Cas which was "this is just too painful for me to talk about so don't."
Also... notice the pattern of Lucifer coming to people and asking to be let in. He goes to people who are grieving a romantic love interest IN THEIR FORM. and he says the words "Let me in." he asks to be let in. Now look at after Cas died, and Lucifer called Dean, disguised as Cas and said, "I'm outside the bunker. Can you let me in?" It is a highly established pattern and he used the exact same words. HONESTLY Lucifer was not necessary at that point in the story... pretty much his ONLY purpose in that scene is to mirror what he's done in the past, to show us that Dean does love Cas. (Because the network did not want to go there. They actually did research one point to see how the fans would receive it if they made Destiel cannon and it was pretty much split down the middle... they knew they could keep hinting at it for one half and keep those viewers but if they made it too explicit a large part of the other half would stop watching, supporting and buying t-shirts and other merchandise. There is plenty of evidence that financial reasons played into keeping the story line... below the horizon for people who didn't want it or didn't care, while still throwing lots of bones for the Destiel fans who they know are looking at every detail with a fine tooth comb. They don't want to rock the boat. Not every person who doesn't ship Destiel is homophobic, but there ARE a lot of SPN fans who are conservative and have issues with Dean being anything but a red blooded heterosexual straight macho ladies man. (Or in other words... not everybody who doesn't ship destiel is homophobic but every SPN fan who IS homophobic-- and there are plenty-- is aggressively anti-destiel.
Sry but Cas died before he admits his feelings for Dean and Dean knew that Cas would die and he never said that he loved him back, and there was never any sign that Dean had feelings for Cas. Men and women alike are naturally passionate about their best friends. Especially when they've been thru a lot together. I loved my best friend to the point that I called her my sister and when she died I never recovered from her death. Love is a true and powerful thing and doesn't always have to be romantic in nature. @Karl M thanks. I mainly do tarot but I had so much to process after watching the finale. I didn't even become more than a casual shipper until 15x18 and then they buried their gays so deep. Once you know for certain cass loves dean and you can see how that manifested on screen, you can begin to see that dean returns it but since dean repressed everything... of course hes not going to come out and and it.
There was even a line Jenson changes where dean said I love you and he changed it to I need you. Not because he had *any issue* with that being true, simply because he felt it was out of character for dean to say the words.

The vibes we got from Tombstone are the vibes we deserved, honestly. What a great big damn win. I think that was very fitting that they brought Cas back just in time for this sort of Case Episode that was themed specifically to the one thing that has never failed to make Dean smile. The thing that has literally made him beam throughout several very dark seasons of the show. They brought Cas back and Cas = Cowboys. Dean's enthusiasm for having things he enjoys. Dean admitting to watching cowboy movies with Cas and that being something domestic that he gets joy out of. And of course Sam's observations and knowing Dean's tells. I do love the emphasis on the healthier aspects that came out of the boys living in each other's pockets lol. I digress. Thanks for sharing this!!!

You would have to be very blind not to see everything that the actors, directors and screenwriters did with respect to that relationship, the jokes with double meaning, the worry, the suffering, the thousands of characters saying about Cas's feelings for Dean. For example, if you compare Dean and Sam for how they behave with Castiel, clearly their attitudes are different, Dean goes completely insane or depressed when Cas leaves or dies, on the other hand Sam easily surpasses him, it does not even affect him to the level Dean even ends up yelling at sam "you don't care but I do". It's a shame they didn't risk confectioning at the times they had planned, it would have been very entertaining to see how idiotic the characters could be with that. It did not even need to be explicit, it would not be the first or the last series that leaves romantic interests in the second and even third plane. I insist one would have to be very blind not to see what the writers and directors did, they even made a chapter to explain that angels are angels, so if we leave the labels aside, castiel fell in love with Dean's soul of selflessness and affectionate that he was, and if Dean fell in love with Castiel, he fell in love with an angel that from day one Dean always believed that he did not deserve to be saved by an angel. a pity that it took so many years to write to the character that if he was worthy of true love and be saved by that angel.

And that bisexual interpretation is perfectly valid and supportable, even if you do not agree with it. He is a fictional character. He can be interpreted in multiple valid ways. However there is a ton of evidence that several writers and directors of the show intended to portray him as bisexual and/or bisexual *coded* which if you dont know what that is, go learn. It had a rich history in television and movie making and involves gay or bi representation of characters that "pass" as heterosexual for heterosexual and closed minded audiences such as yourself, and for censors.
All anybody asks is that you STOP disrespecting people who take a bisexual interpretation of Dean (telling us we are wrong, idiots, blind, stupid, projecting, sick, twisted, delusional, confusing fanfic with cannon, etc).

I was barely even a casual shipper until Cas declared his love and then I was just like... omg... they were right?! What did I miss?! 15x18 definitely Castiel confessed "something" (love) to Dean. You cannot say that, he said something like fraternal "love" or love for a "brother". If that were the case, things would get even worse and weird...Hmm, for some reason, it made me a little curious that a character like Dean always received interesting compliments or moves from his fellow man. (Dean was pretending to be an FBI agent in a cafe trying to get the two girls talking... Absolutely interesting...You will see.)

In episode 12x10 when they (Dean and Cas) were ignoring each other in the car on their way to meet Isham and Benjamin they were talking about Benjamin and his vessel? Well his vessel is a woman. Cas differentiated between the two. Benjamin is an angel meaning no gender while his vessel is a female. Its the same with cas, his vessel is a male while he's just an angel (i know I'm using he but idk what else to use) but yes Dean is not gay he's not attracted to Cas' vessel but Cas himself the angel which doesn't involve gender. So technically he's not gay and neither is Cas. Idk if you guys get where I'm coming from but that's that

Look at the symbolism in this scene. Its shot from INSIDE A CLOSET. Sam opens the closet and tries to coax dean out but dean doesnt so sam closes the door.
Yeah, tbh, it's sorta the context of the season that makes this part make sense. For the first part of S13 Dean had been angry / depressed / lashing out. In 13x05, Sam is making so much effort to cheer Dean up with his usual go-tos (burgers, beers, letting him blast music, saying they could go to a strip club) that Dean notices he's been nicer than usual. And yet, it still doesn't work; in that same episode, Dean doesn't hesitate to temporarily kill himself to help the ghosts. He meets Billie and it's stated outright that he 'wants to die.'
He has literally hit his breaking point and between losing Cas and Mary being in the other realm, he has literally lost his will to live. But the episode ends with the reveal that Cas is alive followed immediately by this fun cowboy case episode. Suddenly, Dean is extremely giddy and full of life. So much that the other three are like "wow." They joke it's because he really loves cowboys but I don't even think cowboys woulda cheered him up this much if Cas was still dead. Sam picks up that too, that the reason he is so happy might be something else. That leads to this conversation scene! Dean agrees Cas is the reason he's so happy but says nothing more on that. But Sam's "oh is that all?" reaction implies he thinks it's even more.
Sam is obviously happy to have Cas back too but there is a noticeable difference in not only how the brothers cope with losing Cas and their reaction to getting him back. @@tabitha3861 it's also interesting to me that he classifies Cas coming back as a win. In my head a win is actually something you've a accomplished. They had nothing to do with bringing Cas back. So Cas isn't really "a win." Now it's hard to explain what this means exactly, but Dean calling it that is... misdirection. He's like "what? I'm just glad we got a win." Nooooo..... you are giddy with happiness (and have regained your will to live) because you and Cas are together again. "Reunited and it feels so good."

Cas is indeed romantically in love with Dean. But Dean really isn't. It's really just a friendly love like besties, Platonic Love to be precise. You'd understand if you had one(do you?). Sam doesn't feel more happy because they really weren't best friends they're just friends. They don't share the same bond as Dean and Cass. Even before purgatory, Sam doesn't share enough moments with Cass to call him his Best Friend, Dean did.
Dean didn't even reciprocate Cass' confession in the final season, i think he always knew Cass had feelings for him but didn't bother to open it up because he knew himself that he doesn't feel the same, all he knows is that Cass is and always would be his Best Friend, a family, regardless of Cass' feelings for him.
Dean actually had like a tone of doubt (don't know if i used the right term, my English is rusty) , on Sam's questions/statements. Implying like aren't you(happy) that Cass is back. Like Dean was thinking that Sam should be overjoyed too. But because Sam wasn't really like best friends much with Cass, he don't feel as much joy as Dean did.
It's like with Rowena and Sam. Sam was like very very hurt when Rowena died but Dean wasn't as much affected.
Sam here was kind of questioning Dean because i think he knew Cass' feelings for Dean and was wondering also if Dean feels the same. Dean then denies and i think it's true. Cass and Dean are really close that everyone would really question if it's more than that.

You are 100% correct. Destiel fans don't know how to differentiate fandom from canon. I had my doubts during the seasons but after the finale it's quite clear that Cas loved Dean and was in love with him while Dean loved Cas but was not in love with him. Maybe that will change in paradise, since Cas will no longer need his male vessel. I think Dean would definitely fall for him if he took a female vessel... but we'll never know.

I respect your opinion, my dawg. While Cas' feelings are actually canon, Dean's isn't and that's the problem. I like Destiel--it's cute and if they weren't mad at each other every other episode they share it would be great--but Dean's feeling are never confirmed, so you can't say he really is in love. Ultraviolet, I agreed with you in previous comments, but this one aint cool my dawg. They're allowed to have their interpretation as well. I happen to agree with my dawg Shigeo. It would be nice if Dean reciprocated. But for now, the canon we have is that Cas is in love with Dean and Dean thinks god knows what.

But there is physical love and emotional love. There's wanting someone and then there's WANTING someone.
I really dont understand why dean couldnt have either confessed his feelings in the last episode OR been to scred to do so and then be completely ruined at the fact that he never got to tell Cas. Maybe show him having a really rough time, like im talking full on depression, locked in his room wont talk to anyone depression. Horrible nightmare where he wakes up screaming. And then have a scene where he finally breaks and tells Sam and its emotional and THEN sam could say something to cheer him up, like "you showed him your love every time you smiled at him/saved him/risked your life for him" sth like that. In doing this you reestablish the strong bond between the brothers AND Sam is the right person to say that, as he could argue that he also lost someone wothout having had the chance to tell her that he loved her one last time, Jess.

Also when I say I wanted Dean to show SOME fucking emotion, its not because it's fun, it's because that EXACTLY what happened the first time around when Cas disappeared (he literally kept the trenchcoat and saw Cas when he wasn't there).

This doesn’t sound like Dean at all. He spent 40 years in hell torturing souls and being tortured yet he never once woke up screaming or hid in his room. He doesn’t deal with his sht like this. I remember him only one time being so desperate, hopeless and lost that he hid in his room but he never the less always kept going and fighting. That’s his way of dealing with emotional distress. He goes out there to hunt things and safe people. That’s because of the anger inside him that builds up from repressing his feelings and not talking about it. I think there is no need for Dean to confess his feelings. He loves cas in a platonic way and everybody and their moms know. I like the ending because if I remember correctly angels aren’t capable of understanding let alone feeling human emotions like love. They don’t every love god. They fear and worship him. So i think it was a Perfect conclusion to his character going from stone cold angel of the lord to angel who truly understands and feels true love and gains this human side all thanks to the love he has for Dean.

However the fact that you say Angels can't feel human feelings like love is literally directly contradicted in the show, Castiel was cast out of heaven and reprimanded and shit specifically BECAUSE he was feeling love towards humanity and Dean(whether that's romantic or platonic love doesnt matter both are equally strong and freindship in my opinion can be much stronger).
Like I mean literally before his death Cas said "I love you" to Dean, directly. Seems like both romantic AND a human feeling.
If you read that love confession as one of platonic love that's up to you, it doesn't really matter because either way Dean's reaction was not appropriate at all (not bc thats not the character, but because the writers don't give a fuck and everything was just atrocious)

@@francescapatti2934 I accept your opinion and you can see it as you like. I wasn’t fond of the ending as well. It sucked. But one thing I see differently is the angels having feelings thing. They were taught to “love” god’s perfect creation and their mission was to protect it as stated multiple times. Castiel keeps reminding his brothers of that very mission. So he was just following orders. Cas learned about human emotions when he became human. He felt them and that’s why he knows what truly loving someone feels like. They even state various times that humans are better then angels specifically for their capacity for love. You can agree with this or not but if you look at it from a logical point of view then the one thing that grants humans the ability to love is the human soul which is so complex and unique that even god himself can’t replicate it. Angels don’t have souls. Ergo they cannot love. Cas was cast out because he was a rebel who betrayed his kind for humanity and did real messed up shit. You can argue he did it for dean but I think that’s just not sufficient enough as a reason. He did it because he believed in his mission to protect humanity and he sided with sam and dean because that’s their mission as well. Feelings came much much later.
Case was not following orders. He rebelled against heaven and he did it for dean. This is stated over and over again.

I have watched SPN numerous times and not once did I ever get the impression that either Dean or Cas were gay/bi or in love with each other. I always took Cas' feelings as wanting a family/brothers (since he was an outcast of Heaven) and simply getting too close to his charges....and Dean, well Cas was the one who pulled him out of Hell, so wouldn't you have a tight bond with that person?
Frankly, I don't care either way and maybe I am just really unobservant but if the writers really wanted this to be known, they should have made it more obvious. And not just, "Misha said it in an interview."
compare Dean's reaction and response to:
1. when Jo looked at dean (said bye) before dying
2. when Cas confessed, said bye before dying
Supposedly, Dean is so much in-love with Castiel that his only reply to Castiel confession is just "Dont do this Cas".
What people disregarded is how Castiel said he admired their characters strivin to do good for humanity, protecting and saving-- which is the angels' mission.
While many times, they call it being a "family", some fans don't.

I don't intend to change your mind or anything. For me, my dawg, I heard of the ship before I even heard of the show itself. I saw the Winchesters and Destiel all over Tumblr and Pinterest and it was so much so that I thought Dean and Cas were an actual canon couple when I finally decided to watch Supernatural. So when I watched their interactions, I never got a chance to see it blindly if that makes sense.
And I'll admit, my diddly dawg, while there are genuine evidence for Destiel, theres a good chunk that was just gay jokes because "hah fUnnY his masculinity is threatened tEeHEe" and really obscure shit people pulled out of their asses. Like for the last time dawgs what is the significance of the lamp?! And how did people conclude that was Cas?!?!
actually, I think his reaction to Lisa and Ben was very similar to this reaction to losing Cas. He completely shut it out and refused to talk about it at all. Both times he told Sam not to mention it. He was much more hostile towards Sam the first time (with Ben and Lisa) but he got the same message across with Cas which was "this is just too painful for me to talk about so don't."
Also... notice the pattern of Lucifer coming to people and asking to be let in. He goes to people who are grieving a romantic love interest IN THEIR FORM. and he says the words "Let me in." he asks to be let in. Now look at after Cas died, and Lucifer called Dean, disguised as Cas and said, "I'm outside the bunker. Can you let me in?" It is a highly established pattern and he used the exact same words. HONESTLY Lucifer was not necessary at that point in the story... pretty much his ONLY purpose in that scene is to mirror what he's done in the past, to show us that Dean does love Cas. (Because the network did not want to go there. They actually did research one point to see how the fans would receive it if they made Destiel cannon and it was pretty much split down the middle... they knew they could keep hinting at it for one half and keep those viewers but if they made it too explicit a large part of the other half would stop watching, supporting and buying t-shirts and other merchandise. There is plenty of evidence that financial reasons played into keeping the story line... below the horizon for people who didn't want it or didn't care, while still throwing lots of bones for the Destiel fans who they know are looking at every detail with a fine tooth comb. They don't want to rock the boat. Not every person who doesn't ship Destiel is homophobic, but there ARE a lot of SPN fans who are conservative and have issues with Dean being anything but a red blooded heterosexual straight macho ladies man. (Or in other words... not everybody who doesn't ship destiel is homophobic but every SPN fan who IS homophobic-- and there are plenty-- is aggressively anti-destiel.
Sry but Cas died before he admits his feelings for Dean and Dean knew that Cas would die and he never said that he loved him back, and there was never any sign that Dean had feelings for Cas. When you saw any signs like hugs or sights then Dean would be in love with his brother. Because Dean loves Sam the most. They are literally soulmates.

Men and women alike are naturally passionate about their best friends. Especially when they've been thru a lot together. I loved my best friend to the point that I called her my sister and when she died I never recovered from her death. Love is a true and powerful thing and doesn't always have to be romantic in nature. Too many people distort love these days and try to force it into being something that it isn't just to suit their own mindset.
No... we all know about deep platonic love and we see something different. We arent distorting or twisting anything and it's not cool to accuse us of such.
