Yep agree -recommend Am Cup Audio Engineer brings down videos - adjusts audio and puts back up. audio needs to be balanced a bit more. Easy to fix. Bring commentators up say 3db and bring on-board boat audio down 1.5db on your video broadcast mixer or output bus. That should fix it. Also suggest you do a quick test on your monitors or headphones in studio to check the final balance is the same as when you post final video that’s uploaded. Normally the audio the media centre gives us in the audience is overall good and balanced, thanks for your coverage so far. Best Regards
Thanks for broadcasting this over RUclips so the world can see these incredible ships and sailors at work. These ships are new to me so this is very exciting.
Nascar broadcasts have had this issue worked out since the 2000s. they can do race team audio without interferring with the broadcasters. One would think that a sport that is supposed to be "refined" could get simple audio right.
Extremely nice sailing by LR, very proffessional and pragmatic done. Well done. I actually dont mind this sound mix. Id rather listen to the comments comming off the boats than the commentators.
I really enjoy your shows. Fantastic imagery plus Virtual eye, I love it and if your ears are okay one can focus on what one wants to listen to. The brit-biassed commentators, well, just funny i guess. Anyhow, thank you for great entertainment presented in a fabulous way!
Those complaining about the audio. This is a feature that forces us to turn the volume down so we don't have to hear Ken making excuses for and gaslighting this abysmal AC format.
Jesus Christ, the media team for this event are painfully incompetent... Have none of you ever listened to your own broadcasts? Also, on the most basic level, "fprada cup" in the thumbnails? Good job 👍
Yes the sound mix is a total mess. Lets turn the boat chatter off and let the commentators do their job. We don't need to hear crew saying "lets go hard" or "ready to tack"
It's probably just as well we can't hear anything! I managed to hear one of the commentators say "At this point, if you're a UK fan you should start to worry"! If I was a UK fan, I would have been worried two races ago! They actually pay these guys to come up with observations like that?!🤣
video downvoted for bad audio. please do the same until they finaly accept that having to many audio sources at once is not a good idea. As a non native speaker I cannot follow any conversation - too much distraction from the other sources. It is just a mess. What is much more dissapointing: people ar complaining about this issue since the beginning. But it seems somebody thinks he knows better.
The big ships of the line and trade ships in the 17th and 18th century did 5 to 8 knots, the superfast tea clippers did not get over 16 knots per hour ever. Here we have speeds of over 40 knots!
that can only sail in a swimming pool with 8 to 16mph breeze. Lets see a real race with open ocean legs, race around some islands, add some cross country stuff and the races may not seem so "canned", as is it is just so much garbage
Don't downrate the AC75 boats on the basis of their inability to handle open oceans. For at least a century the ACup has been sailed in protected waters by boats that were too lightly built for open waters. The goal was always to build lightly for speed, not carrying cargo & not to last much beyond the races. ACup have always been notorious for being too weak for the open ocean & crews have always been working to lighten boats even further by drilling holes in frameworks, etc. They even drill holes in their tools! These boats are purpose built & are usually only used for one season. It's not just the boats that are used up quickly - all their equipment is short lived. For instance, sails are good for one race & at $50,000 each get expensive quickly. It's like F1 cars needing two sets of tires for each race & those tires cost thousands of dollars per set. This is a sport for billionaires! A cup campaign will often cost $100 million spent over a three year period.
Yeah, if the broadcasters would just let the sounds of the race guide the way and then MIX in their reflections and time it so they are in the middle of the legs or something so there wasnt so many layers. 2-3 layers all at once, its a shame. On a positive note, the aerial footage and the sounds of the boats and race and teams actually driving the boats are EPIC. The aerial shots, awesome. The on board shots, awesome. The announcers = VERY BAD. Or the mixing of when they talk and that coordination = very bad. Some room for improvement. Great work filming and the audio you are capturing. Now just need to learn how to put it all together. 3 broadcasters or more is just too much.
I have asked this question some other place - Why only 4 teams in the America's Cup?? If the competition is full year it become some how boring watching 4 races in 2 days, Luna Rosa vs Ines then Ineos vs Luna Rosa and next day the same schedule. How can a team improve/change their performance over night. I gues only by a sudden mistake, but is this we are looking to see really? By the way people around this competition look welthy and the boats are full carbone - why they can't afford a resonable sound system for commentators??
I'm laughing because the last time Ben and his boys sailed this bad, everyone thought they'd be the first to go. Wouldn't count them out just yet. They're not bad at improving their boat when given the time off.
@@TNaizel it was never the boat they had issues with. It was sails and configuration. Along with the foil arms not too mention you missed the entire point. You can start a regatta poorly but as Jimmy knows. It's where you stand at the end of the regatta. A lot of kiwis have forgotten that part and it would seem so have tbe Italian supporters.
Seems like Italians are flying closer/lower to water and UK is sitting higher above the water. Wonder if that gives Italians just a smidge more forward thrust?
Yes, ever since the close cross a few weeks ago UK appears more interested in trying to draw a penalty from Italy instead of finding the ideal situation to control their own race.
Rita should have sailed to the boundary right after the start - they would have had starboard tack and forced LR to stay out of the way - the have f^cked up every start
AC75 racing as is sucks herring on these fixed postage stamp courses it would be better off using identical boats, rather than a handful of prototypes who may or may not have discovered the true top speed/best config for any particular conditions, I fucking hate this as it stands

whats up with the audio, seems like you can hear both radios and the announcers at the same time, its a mess.
LR flawless, faster and seems to point higher than Ineos on each upwind leg.
Too bad I can’t mute the commentators.
What happend here, audio mixer guy, I could almost hear the commentators for a few seconds.
You guys are so bad at sound, let the announcers call the race then and use team audio in replays only. Having three going at once is just irritating
A
Looks like a Luna Rossa training match! So smooth and controlled. If they just allow the boat to run, it will be difficult to catch.
Nascar broadcasts have had this issue worked out since the 2000s. they can do race team audio without interferring with the broadcasters. One would think that a sport that is supposed to be "refined" could get simple audio right.
Missed a trick by not putting the post-race press conference at the same time as the other audio feeds.
Please ask the commenters to be quiet next time so we can hear the crews.
Bad sound. Mix is wrong. Cannot hear announcers over the boat chatter.
Better to hear the crews!
"The Italians are coming"
"This Is gonna be so much Better then a tea party 🤣"
commentator audio volume is too low to hear.

Luna rossa. Beautiful job

I think it's more about the sound mix during the broadcast
Thank you
"Not too much Hi-5 guys" ... Loved that sentence from LRPP
Put the announcers on left channel and the boats on the right , so we can choose what we want to hear.
Thank You!
Italians are coming ;)
More Australians on that crew than Italians...😏

Why do they have bow sprits? They don’t do any sail changes. No off wind sails.

If you can't figure out how to mix the audio, at least post two videos, one for boat mics, and one for announcers.
Good luck New Zealand.
All this great visual and audio technology is worthless when incompetent people are in control. I would expect a little more from your sound people.
Incredible 3x wind speed 😻😻😻
