God I love these lectures. The top down view is how I learn best. Once I understand what's going on from this perspective, I can watch other guides and other strats to see what they actually look like in game, but I need this first to understand the real footage strats.
An advice for people that have problem going to the second safespot behind the gladiator during specter of might, the snapshot of the move seems be the moment the lines disappear and they start the rush and not on the moment they stop to cleave so you can actually move during the rush and reach the safe spot sooner.
On the dodge to break the chains, if you wait for the second AOE to appear you can just run direct to your corner. If the AOE's are E and W then the dodge will be NE and SW and if the AOE's are N and S the dodge will be NW and SE.
Hello Hector, your guides have been tremendously helpful for my understanding of mechanics and how to solve them. Do you have the 3rd boss of the criterion dungeon by chance? Most other guides are still confusing for me
Alternative for Curse of the Fallen: Puddle goes South, Everyone else North. Then North group manages the stack to spread or spread to stack. And thanks as always for another clear guide :D
For the cursed specter of might 2/3 pattern, I would not recommend lining up at the two and moving but instead using the sort of curly circular patterns you can see on the sides of a/c in the diagram, just stand in front of them near the 3 charge and you will have much more time to properly dodge. You have plenty of time since it will always be 2/3 if neither maxes charge on the first one, and you know which will be 3 based on which is 2. Although they can be in different orientations, it can only be 1/2, 1/3, or 2/3
For Specter of Might have your Tank prepull the boss about 2/3 south or north (whichever way the adds are going to dash) so that your melee jobs can keep full uptime on this mechanic regardless of the pattern. If you wait to pull the boss until *during* the dashes your melee are likely to lose 1 or 2 GCDs due to be outside of range for a moment while repositioning. Since the first one is always south you can simply pull the boss south at the start of the fight immediately. For Hateful Visage 1 there is always one quadrant near the boss that is 'safe'. You can have both your tank and your melee dps (if you have one) go to that quadrant every single time for maximum uptime. Also you should always dodge the 'checkerboard' diagonally so that it is just one single movement instead of two individual movements as you show in this video.
This comment has everything the video misses imo, no reason why melee shouldnt get garanteed uptime on the 1st visage. And the pre-movement of the boss during might really come in handy.
Both sensible suggestions for more uptime. Probably not necessary for groups just trying to clear criterion but definitely the right call for savage or anyone farming this for silver. Not sure what you mean about checkerboard; How else do you dodge it other than diagonally?
@@HectorHectorson Oh actually for the checker board that is my mistake, the video made it seem like you dodged right and then diaginal (watching the tank for the first hateful visage) but its actually just positioning when the first lines show up. I am just dumb.
Great guide as usual! Finally understood clearly what is going on with Specter of Might. On a different note, since you'll most likely make a video on Boss 3, will you be touching on the JP Braindead strat for the first teleportation mech? I've seen it pop up quite frequently on Elemental PFs
The gold silver debuffs confused the hell out of me cause the description is saying that they can be cleansed by gold/silver flame aka the same colour to your debuff. Its just straight up trying to trick you
Hi Hector, love your videos, could make videos from all primals? I’m farming mounts and sometimes wish I would have a quick and simple guide like yours but none around. Ty
For Curse of the Fallen, I've been telling my tank to mit the person with the stack while I, as the healer, also mit and heal them between hits. If you do this, the stack player can survive the stack solo and all you have to do is spread > move in > spread
Sound like a lot of extra work when you can just... stack as 2/3 people? Dumping all your mits and extra healing on the stack marker player means that you and the tank need to read all the debuffs anyway, so why not just resolve the mechanic properly at this point?
@@trolly1834 Yeah more than likely we really only started doing this for one just to see if we could and two our summoner didnt think it was possible to all stack mid if its the third ring.... but it is completely possible
There's no need to assign quadrants like you do for hateful visage if your team is adaptable and you can yolo it. Similarly to how you explained in the accursed visage example, folks can spread in time without needing their own entire quadrant. In the example you are showing for hateful visage, you have both the melee and tank losing uptime while the healer is in the same melee range uptime spot. Ranged and healers should just be mindful to not go to the spot that is safe and right under the boss, and the melee and tank can both go there and then spread in time. In the example shown, the healer and ranged could've gone far NW or straight E or straight S (and if they both ended up together they can spread like in the next example). As a melee, I always go to the safe spot equivalent of close SW, there's not much reason to go anywhere else unless you have 0 faith in your team to adjust (and I'd expect the tank to join me there).

This is a good shout, to minimise movement!
Willyou be making another guide for the final boss? I really enjoy your guides and find them one of the more easy guides to understand and comprehend.

Thank-you! An extremely helpful video as usual! Is there a boss 3 video coming out soon?
Thanks for another great video. I like the way you explain every mechanic properly so I understand how it works and how to solve it

Yep, the descriptions appear to have just been straight up translated incorrectly.
They confirmed on the forums this is a bug, and it will be fixed in the next patch.

For curse of the monument, you dont need that partner stuff, 2's just go in first and 1's second
