I work for the biggest phone repair company in Canada, we are authorized by Samsung, Apple, LG, Google and Huawei. And i gotta say the most phones we do repairs on are Samsungs and LGs. We do repair iPhones but its just regular stuff unlike Samsungs that have damaged PBAs, S’PBA batteries that stop working after a couple of months of purchase cameras. No network connection what so ever for no reason!! I’m just talking from experience Samsung makes great phones but the amount of bad parts in their phones that need to be repaired the whole time just gets annoying!

@@samiajji2392 Sami firstly let me begin by saying that I have used many phones you mentioned in the list and apple since iPhone 3. I see most of your life you have been judging people so quickly but that's not why I care to reply. The point is this, my friend. firstly yes I do agree that most of the companies are following apple way over the years but they still are very different in how they treat the customer. Compare a policy of repair of one plus with apple and you are most welcome to verify this
If the glass panel crack for one plus and they have their way to understand if the break happens from dropping phone or not, they replace or repair the phone free of cost, (absolutely free). Now for the same issue, let's say it cost iPhone 11 about INR 48k in India after all discounts. If your back panel glass cracks and they do sometimes if you just keep it in pocket and sit down, this is as told to me by apple genius, apple will charge you 70% of the MRP of the phone (not the price you paid after discount) even if the phone got a crack without any fault of the user within a week time of purchase. Now you may say get apple care, but even if you take apple care, you have to about INR 7k (call it GST ) so as customer yous till pay for something company should own its responsibility for poor/ brittle design. Had they been not putting such irrational prices of repair, you won't find entire world complaining about anti-competitive repair policy of apple. I can go on but i guess I made my point
I know this COVID thing is making people very restless and keyboard warriors. Hope the same is not happening to you. Have a great day my friend and no I am not butthurt at all. I do teach courses on anti-trust and am involved in public policy framework on these topics, so I know what is am saying, it's just that you don't expect to type it out all on the youtube comment section.

I also bring my phone during rainy runs and even holds it without cover lol so it’s always exposed to moist/water. My iphone 8 is 4 years old now and still working fine and I also have 11 pro which I now bring to my runs. Downside here is if you are clumsy and wouldn’t even cover a jelly case and screen protector on your phone. It’s what customers ultimately want. If apple would sell more phones making a repairable, thick phone with a back opening to replace the battery they would’ve done it. The average customer of any smart phone isn’t on a RUclips video about the repairability of a phone. We are not the average user.
The average user wants to just walk in, and come out with a fixed phone in a quick amount of time. They don’t care if their phone can get fixed if it’s gonna take like a week because they need their phone as quick as possible. A buddy of mine used to work in the apple store and he would always complain about how customers would throw a fit about an hour turn around time for their repair. Imagine if they did more relatively complex repairs like the video. At the volume of phones the stores have to repair combined with how much more intricate the repair is for this you would have a WAY longer turn around time. If customers are shitting their pants for just one hour imagine if they’re told they have to wait over a week.

@@TYPICALTRYHARD_ that’s actually the opposite in my experience. Perhaps it depends on the country you live in, but out of the 3 phone repair companies I’ve worked for, it was primarily iPhone. Many people would bring in their non-Apple phones and decide against service due to the limited availability of parts either making repairs expensive or time-consuming when factoring in time to order the part and have it delivered. For an Apple device I can run over to my local supplier and pick it up. Anything non-apple it would depend. We could pick up screens for Samsung S and Note pretty readily but the cost of those display panels was so high, we often didn’t do the repair because it was too expensive for the customer.
