WOW! Never thought of doing a meatloaf on the Blackstone? Just did one om my pellet grill... But now it's going on my list! It's amazing the bacon didn't burn to a crisp! I love it guys!
Ty ManKitchenRecipes. I was surprised myself. If you noticed on the final product it looked a little burnt on a few spots. It was actually the hot sauce the cooked out and then crisped up. Was delicious. Thanks again-J
Ty reedg32. Definitely appreciate the compliment. It holds together well enough if you let it rest a bit longer after cooking. We were a bit rushed. If carbs are not an issue some breadcrumbs would help. Thanks again-J
We love meatloaf but when I make it I form it into a bunch of burger sized patties and cook them on a charcoal grill, yum. I'll have to give it a try on my Blackstone. Great cook guys. A little safety note, when I start my wood burner in the garage I use diesel fuel because it isn't nearly as explosive as gas, it lights good and slow. Just Don't want you to blow up. Great video.
Sounds delicious. I bet you get a nice crust cooking it that way. As far as safety goes, we can probably all agree gas+fire=potential issues. Lol. Typically I use little fire starter bricks but once in a while I need to get rid of my 2 stroke gas. I'm not a big fan of running it though my small engine stuff if its more than a month old. Thanks for commenting-J
The wife found a similar recipe to be cooked on the Weber. I decided to split it into two loafs cooking one on the Weber and the other on the Blackstone. The bacon was was crisper on the griddle so about mid-cook I swapped the loafs so I got the crisp with the smoke on both. Thank for the flipping hints, I would screwed the up badly!
