    We love meatloaf but when I make it I form it into a bunch of burger sized patties and cook them on a charcoal grill, yum. I'll have to give it a try on my Blackstone. Great cook guys. A little safety note, when I start my wood burner in the garage I use diesel fuel because it isn't nearly as explosive as gas, it lights good and slow. Just Don't want you to blow up. Great video.

    • @TheGriddleGuys
      @TheGriddleGuys 3 года назад +1

      Sounds delicious. I bet you get a nice crust cooking it that way. As far as safety goes, we can probably all agree gas+fire=potential issues. Lol. Typically I use little fire starter bricks but once in a while I need to get rid of my 2 stroke gas. I'm not a big fan of running it though my small engine stuff if its more than a month old. Thanks for commenting-J

    The wife found a similar recipe to be cooked on the Weber. I decided to split it into two loafs cooking one on the Weber and the other on the Blackstone. The bacon was was crisper on the griddle so about mid-cook I swapped the loafs so I got the crisp with the smoke on both. Thank for the flipping hints, I would screwed the up badly! Great cook, thanks!

    Nice! Hey, what was the brand of tripod y’all were using for the GoPro?

    • @TheGriddleGuys
      @TheGriddleGuys 3 года назад

      Just a generic tripod I stoll from my daughter. I think she bought it for her cell. Its definitely not gopro quality but gets the job done. I just had to buy a gopro to 1/4 adapter so now we can use it on any of our tripods. Hopefully this helps-J

    Looks good guys I'll have to try this. On a side note. I was wondering how that Camp Chef griddle y'all got a little while ago is doing for you?

      So far so good. We plan on doing a full review on that in the near future. Without giving it away, I'd say overall we are impressed so far. We have all taken turns with it . It has some negative hits but overall great product.

    I do kind of the same on my weber charcoal grill but I stuff it with cheese. Your loaf looks fantastic. Now, stop loafing and get to work!

      😁👍. Apparently the cheese this is pretty popular. I'm definitely going to have to try it. Ty-J

    Is this a record for the least amount of ingredients for a Jeff cook?

      Nice. Lol. It may be . I also did a 2 ingredient pizza dough tho. If you don't count the toppings I added to finish the dough I believe that one is the winner 😁

    Good way to make meatloaf using the griddle. Three compadres and some adult beverages and a roaring fire. Made me cringe when you lit that fire though. Worked for a guy in Florida that burned half his body doing that stunt. Keep up the good work.

      Ty David. No doubt a lot could Definitely go wrong with lighting a fire that way. On the positive side it is however the first time I've been compared to a Florida man. Lol. Its always fun when we get together Thanks again-J

      The wood Jeff used must have been treated with something. It took awhile but we got it going. lol - C

    OMG...PORK FAT!! Anything is amazing wrapped in bacon, well...maybe not oysters or liver. This looked awesome, throw in some bacon sauteed spinach or green beans and Tajin spice (mostly on west coast, www.amazon.com/stores/Tajin/page/0C487DE2-078A-46BB-9533-0941C98761BF?ref_=ast_bln) seasoned cauliflower steaks. Bring on a salad and adult beverage...there is nothing like Cholula!!

      Lol. Very true, "almost" anything 😄. You definitely peeked my interest with this Tajin seasoning. Ill have to check that out. Ty-J

    So what was the fuel used to start the fire? I’m guessing kerosene perhaps? It wasn’t gasoline cause, well, you’re still here. 🤓 Also, I watched the whole video just to see how you did it but you lost me as soon as you said Chalula. I HATE hot. Just can’t take it. Maybe in the future when using hot ingredients you could suggest substitutes for us weenies. It seems everyone loves to torture themselves but me 🤷‍♂️

      Thank you for commenting Scott. This cook was meant to be more of a technique video. I've wanted to try a meatloaf for a while. Finally did it a few weeks back and was impressed with how well it came out. As far as ingredients, anything goes. The gas was just leftover two stroke mix. I don't like to use it in my small engine stuff after it sits for more than month. Limited options to get rid of it.
