In this video I will show you how I make beautiful crepe paper peonies. Pronies are a staple flower to learn when starting out making crepe paper flowers, and there aren't that many tutorials to show you how to make them realistic as well! I hope you enjoy this online class and find it easy. This peony can be styled in many different ways - you can leave it balled up as if it is about to burst, or brush the petals back so it is in full bloom. There are also so many different ways to use colour with peonies, so I'd encourage you to experiment!
I designed this peony so it can be made with whatever crepe paper you have. You can make the entire flower our of either 60g or 180g crepe paper. In this video, I use both 60g and 180g italian crepe paper. You can get this in many places such as www.cartefini.com/collections....
Please feel free to ask questions if you need help - I know how hard it is being a beginner!

This is one of the best tuts for paper flower making I have seen. Having the directions on screen right next to the visual is great. Also very important is listing the size of the paper pieces and wire need to create each petal. Even better, you provide full written directions PLUS the template needed. The tips included in the directions are so helpful. Thank you for providing this for your viewers.

Do you hand color your crepe and if so do you have any tutorials for the muted natural colors? So pretty 😍

which glue do you use... I find the regular tacky glue is sometimes a problem with adhering properly... love your vids x

Hiya, yes glue can be a real issue! I only use Aleenes tacky glue. It works really well and is pretty affordable

This is beautiful! May i know the color number for the crepe paper?🙂

Ooo that's a tough question - I THINK it was light pink and camelia pink for the internal, fine crepe paper layers. For the two outer layers, I think it was Koko Loko and Maybe also Coral Charm Peony - both 180g colours. Not entirely sure though, sorry!

@@alitiastpierre thank you so much. To confirm you did not paint the paper? It kinda looks like it in the video….it’s just so pretty…all your flowers are beautiful! 😍

@@lyndadecker4664 not in this video. But generally you will get a more realistic effect with a little color variation on each petal

They're just cheap ones from a sewing store! The orange ones are a bit more expensive, in think they are Fiskars
