- In today's video we visit Medieval Times Florida for some awesome medieval action. We cheered on our Knight as he jousted and fought using all sorts of different medieval swords and clubs. They also showed off their horsemanship skills and even displayed how they hunted using a falcon! The show included a "King's Feast" of tomato bisque, garlic bread, a half a chicken, roasted potatoes, and corn on the cob. They served us a sweet bread for dessert. I went there in 1990 after high school graduation, glad its still going strong.

Not really if you go now there is like 10-15 in the audience and the food is just bland chicken which is not worth it

The actors have a basic course in HEMA (historical European martial arts) which has turned into a bit of a sport nowadays, just so they shape their bodies correctly even if they don't mock-fight. But the fairy tale stuff should be expected, that's what most people know.
Evera Outta Yeah but they changed it up to be very showy. They open up a lot (wide swings) to make sure the audience from all sides can see what they’re doing.

Lol i remember when i went on my birthday when i was younger my father had plastic fork and knife he snuck in so he didn’t eat with his fingers and got caught. They sent him to their dungeon lol

Fun fact: the first and only time I went to medieval times I was with my Girl Scout Troop, and my best friend dared me to yell “VIOLENCE ISN’T THE ANSWER!!” So when I went to yell it, of course it got completely silent and it echoed and so many people started laughing 😂

Lmao when I went to Medieval Times, our knight (the Blue Knight) lost in the final battle against the Red/Black Knight. My friend literally yelled out “STEROIDS, STEROIDS!!” over and over again. Super embarrassing 😂😂

We LOVED Medieval Times!!!! It was such an amazing night. Hubby got knighted, and our winning knight threw me the rose!!!! Such fun.... TFS!!!
Went to this as a little kid, I still have very vivid and happy memories of when I took a little wooden sword I had to the knights and they all signed it. I thought it was the coolest thing ever that I would ever do in my life. But now I know I can do actual jousting as a contact sport and oh boy that’ll be fun!

Omg 😍 u went there too. They cooked the chicken like it was easy to eat through it. Very delicious foods, I love the ladies used to have a crush on the one that served me, loved the way they served us. Lo But since your here...I hope your not mad haha 😏🤣😂 yes boo...you got my attention...with the field trip. Brings back memories.

Cyndia Romulus just note that real medevil knights during duals were pretty grosume including real battles the fighting is not even accurate knights would slash and stab neck hands arms and other vital spots not hack their to each other’s sword
I remember my first time during a trip to Washington DC, our knight (red and black) lost and we ended up cheering for the yellow and black knight. Awesome experience; would go again

Loved Medieval Times when we were there in 2014! As a Canadian tourist though, it was a bit weird trying to get out after a show and calling a cab; there wasn't anything else open and we had to call two different cab companies before a third different guy saw us and just stopped to check on us (Now that Uber/Lyft are more a thing I can't imagine it's as bad). BUT THAT BARD GUY!! He is the best! He was so much fun when I took a picture with him.
You should try the Pirate dinner adventure in Orlando, it's like this but pirates.

Yeah the building for pirates is destroyed from the hurricane unfortunately so it’s up in the air when they will return. But there show I loved so much more than medieval times even the adult show they had I loved !!

My son is an actor there and LOVES it. And despite a recent strike, they actually are really good to the employees, and those horses are treated like royalty!

I went here a few years ago! It was so amazing! It was loud, exciting, and the food was good! I got the black and yellow knight! He gave my little sister his handkerchief thing. It was awesome and i cant wait to go again.

Stacy Click realistic the knights didn’t even try to kill each other real life tournaments in medieval times were fighting to the death of a knight is challenged also realisticly knights would use blunt heavy weapons like axes and war hammer when dealing opponents with armour they smash the head or hip or stomach to name or kill when knights use swords they hit vital areas where they hit the head neck arms and hands and stab at arteries and neck depending if the opponent is wearing armour or not one fights or battles were grosume

I went to medieval times like last summer and I want before and was very fun and my dad got a VIP so we got to sit very close.
I have been to Midevil Times before Tim and Jenn it is sooooo much fun my friends you two get invited to a lot of awesome events.

When I was in 5th grade we went on a field trip first to Busch Gardens and then to Medieval Times, and later on the bus ride home I got really sick. Now just the thought of going back to Medieval Times makes me nauseous :/ sucks cause it seems like a cool experience I would try again.

Ah, okay. Well, I am an English major at least, haha.
Well, and as the typical American mutt, it's probably safe to say that there's some English in there somewhere... Well, I'm fairly certain my last name, Hatfield, is derived from a region in England, or so I've heard.
But yeah, it's always fun to learn about this sort of stuff :)
Lady Alfhildr of the Forest of Violet Mists Yeah Hatfield is a place over here. It's a town about 40 minutes from London :) haha I am the bloodline because I have literally only British ancestry so i'm very viking/norman/saxon and very very white :p
Cool :) The biggest part of my ancestry is actually Norwegian, because my grandpa was 100% so I'm 1/4, but really I don't know what all's in me. Funnily enough, my mom's maiden name, Flatland, is also a region in Norway.
Also, my family has a long and illustrious tradition of names that are also proper English words and ridiculously farm sounding--Hat, Field, Flat, Land... Honestly I don't think you could make a more farmer word-sounding family tree if you tried, haha.
Just went to medieval times yesterday. But I went to the one near my house in Schaumburg. We got black and white and sat on the very top row, we also got to meet the falconer with his falcon.

I was there in '91 with my high school band (from Michigan), we were in the black& white section and our knight won :) it was really amazing
There's something similar to this in Dollywood in Tennessee; Its called the Dixie Stampede and it's like this but cowboys
at my local medieval times, for a small fee you can check out a small museum in the back that contains medieval torture devices and weapons along with information about them. There is also a view into a stable housing a few horses.
I love Medieval Times I always sit in my Lord The Red and Yellow Knights section at the Chicago castle. I always scream my lungs out for him cheering him on lol. Last time I went I sat in the second row and got a flower and Queen of The Tournament sash from my knight it was awesome. It’s cool that your Red Knight won my Red and Yellow Knight has never won when I was in attendance. Also on a side note your Knight looks like what I imagine Howie D of The Backstreet Boys would look like if he was a Knight.

Went there back in the mid ‘90’s! Great fun. Boy, was a lot cheaper then!
We went there over the summer and absolutely LOVED it. As much as I love Disney World, Medieval Times was the highlight of the trip. We still talk about how much we enjoyed it. And the soup was amazing. I had to search out a recipe for it when we got home :D

I went to the one in Dallas both 6th grade and as I senior, had a blast and I'll be going back.
I've always wanted to go back there. only visited once as a kid and loved it. I still have my blue knight flag and horse figure.
funny memory: when the tomato bisque was served, the waitress called it "dragon blood soup" and told me to be very careful because it was hot. me being so little at the time thought "wow, if it came from a dragon it must be like lava!" so I was too scared and waited until the end to eat it. unfortunately, it had become very cold by then.

I loved medieval times as a kid in Los Angeles CA. Everyone used to call the servers wenchs like " Get me some more beer wench." I had to ask for soda but would love to back someday. Thanks for the memorys.
