Both fantastic. I just find that F-55 so unique and amazing tone. Not better than the D so much as just unique/special. Recently fortunate to get both an f-55 and f-512 (12 string version of the jumbo) both in maple.
I have a '76 F50, maple and it sounds amazing. It's a very unique sound - the only guitars I played that really sound like it are from smaller custom builders.
