@@amazigou Young Ones-era Rik Mayall was 100% gorgeous! And I think about him whenever I hear some 80s records, such as Chain Reaction (in the charts the same time as Living Doll). Best song ever. The first time i herd this song was from amzon Alexa. So i am so happy to here this song so i am going to here it all the time now. So when i tell Amzon Alexa to play Duran Duran she is mabe going to play this song first or play a diffrent song if i ask her to play duran duran
I have been a fan of Duran Duran myself since I was 16 or 17 in the 80's. There is just one problem: I've never seen ONE picture of these men smiling. Why must they always look so serious and glum?
LMAO... The Double D's were pretty big with any english speaking country and even toured a few places that didn't speak a word of it. Double D's were always big and still have a hypnotizing effect after a few decades :D
I have to salute you dude. You posted the "Video" version of the song. Not to many people know that it's almost 30 seconds longer than the CD/LP/Tape version. Thanx man
I love this song, Yes the 80's I didn't have any children yet. this is real deep song, just listened to the words. Real deep. gotta count to 20 backward. Lol

Easily my favorite Duran Duran song, dazzling haunting provocative and sublime. I bought the original japanese import 45 picture sleeve with the lyrics printed on the back and the opening lines are... "I met a greek god runner yesterday" "Tried to find my mountain hideaway"
This is the crap version. From 3:01 determines so. The good version is as in Arena + As the Livhts Go Down. Instead of the shrill rusing note thrre is a wonderfully dystopian lilting sax sound, + the closing verses are sung audibly without this double layering.
This is the BEST version. This was also the last of the 'classic' Duran Duran sound. After this they went from New Wave to Euro Pop (Seven and the Ragged Tiger) and finally to Euro Trash (A View To A Kill, Notorious and everything thereafter). Too much reliance on saxophones and black backup singers ruined their sound. P.S. It is not a "shrill rusing note" as you describe, but a harmonica played by Simon LeBon. Know your damn instruments!
Love this band thxu 👍
Excelente la música de Duran Duran dslon de la fama del Rock and roll simón bellooooooo 💋💋💋
A great hit by Duran Duran the 80s❤
✨...it sucks when you want to know something really bad
Duran Duran y'all 🔥God Bless them and their Families ❤️
Miss these times The Best !!!!
I wasn't even born in the 80s, the music seemed excellent
It's great to hear this version finally without the official video. Its original version is shorter but great to hear this one 😊
The good old days. Long gone now
I know. I wasnt even alive then, but I still yearn for those days
Good timing lyrics ! 💕
This song is awesome.
Don't say you're easy on me you're about as easy as a nuclear war
Classic line
i cant help but picture young ones era Rik Mayall throwing up v's and mouthing that line
who is he talking about though?
Another great line: "And fiery demons all dance when you walk through that door".

Yup
From a time when lyrics sounded like prophetic words.
They are prophetic 😊
I literally just received this song today as a prophetic word (song) from the Lord! 😁
Your easy on me as a nuclear war!!! What a line!
God I love that Slap Bass. And the Microsoft Synthesizer is coll too.
Only listing to this because my mum loves them...
Listen to your Mum, she has great taste.

This was charted number one in some country which i forgot. This song was a pretty big hit.

One of the most successful pop acts for the 80's is somehow UNDERrated?

Carina Russell reading your text was like....wow! I'm reading alexas' thoughts. Are you Alexa?
Reading your comment has made me feel terribly old 🤦🏼♀️😂 I remember this being in the top 10 👵🏼💃🏼
The best part is 3:01-3:48
The summer of 1983
"Burn It" with Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) on BBC brought me here!!!!!
Anyone her 18th july 2018
it's actually, "I CUT so far before I had to say...."
2:26
I always thought the first line was "I made a great guy run out yesterday"
I thought it was , "I met a great guy running yesterday"
ha, both excellent lines in their own right

Damn, they took it to church at the end!
Sometimes I want to escape so I listen to music to take me back to a better day
"there's a dream that strings the road with broken glass for us to hold" 👍
Never heard this longer version before. Any way, it's still great.
Kyle Sill 3:34 - 3:50 is unique to the video version of the song. Isn’t on any album/compilation version that I’ve ever found.
Saying anything negative about Duran Duran will get you deleted with no questions asked 😂😂
A great great track
The very first song that got me into them and especially Simon le bons kick ass vocals.
