      @Gem Boyie Conversion to what?
Christianity, the doctrine of Christ is about presenting Christ, crucified.
As he said, "If I be lifted up from the Earth, I will draw all men unto me".
Because you can trust a Saviour who enters in to suffering, and shares in weakness and rises above it.

You will never be as rich, healthy, succesful and happy as the west, so long as the communist dictatorship exists.
But I guess you won't believe any of this because you are blind to the truth. You're brainwashed. I'm not naive, I'm afraid I am to a certain degree as well, but it is an undisputable and logical fact, that the rest of the world is a better place than Korea.

I have worked in South Korea with the church alongside other missionaries. During my time working with Korean people I have met numerous Christians who escaped from north Korea and I admire their faith and strength to persevere and hold on despite the suffering they endured at the hands of the evil Kim regime.
I actually first heard about the atrocities taking place in NK from a South Korean Christian friend of mine who now works near the border with China. That was during Kim Jong-il's time. Ever since, I have been praying for these persecuted brothers and sisters and doing what I can to raise awareness of their situation. I know we are limited and can only do so much, but we should still strive to do what we can! 🙂
You mentioned Open Doors - yes, NK has been at the top of their World Watch List for many, many years. Voice of the Martyrs originated with a man who was tortured by communist forces in the Soviet Union.
I'm glad that you are sharing about their situation, Yeonmi! Keep speaking up! God bless you. 💖

Also, I find it ironic that these communist leaders all claim that we don't need God, we're all the working class and all equal... and then they make themselves into 'gods' above the people with statues and paintings everywhere, and are far more wealthy than anyone else. They claim to hate religion, but they make their own religion which is all about themselves.

Yes, we are children of a caring, loving, amazing, omnipotent God. He sees us from Heaven above, and we will stand before our Maker at the end of our days, to give a full account of all our doing here during time we have been given, our deeds, thoughts, feelings and intentions. Truly a full account before our Maker. On that day, those that truly repented from their sins, will be so glad they did. Because when we truly repent, we do not do that we have repented of no more. It is therefore deleted, unless we do it again. Because God does promise that if we truly repent, He remembers our sins no more. But if we do it again, He will remember it too, We will view our entire life, at the end of it. Nothing is hidden from God's penetrating eyes. Nothing at all. 😱

Hi Yeonmi, I absolutely love your channel and your content. You are such an inspiration. As a Christian, perhaps I can help you understand Christian thinking.
I am not exactly certain what the missionaries that rescued you meant by what they told you, but I can tell you this: what happened to you because you were trafficked was not your fault. You are not guilty of anything in that situation because you were the victim of sexual assault and many other horrible things. Christians in the US would certainly not look down upon you or blame you for any of that.
The foundation of Christianity is this: In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. He created everything we see today, and He created mankind in a special way that distinguishes us from animals: He gave us free will, made us in His image, and gave us the ability to have a close relationship with Him. Because we are built in His image, we are sovereign, individual, divine beings, created for the purpose of bringing glory to God. These distinctions are why human life is so much more precious than other kinds. In our original form, we were free from sin. The first two human beings created were Adam and Eve. God put them in the Garden of Eden. He gave humans dominion over the Earth, and instructed us to be fruitful and multiply, as well as be stewards and take care of his creation. He gave Adam and Eve permission to eat of all the fruits in the Garden except for the fruit from the Tree with the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They were tempted by Satan, who took the form of a snake, and disobeyed God, both eating the fruit. This caused sin to enter and permeate the earth and human beings. They were cast out of the Garden.
However, there is a redemption story. Thousands of years later, God sent His Son Jesus to pay the price for our sins and die for us on a cross. When He died, He took on the sin of the entire world and went to hell while he was dead for three days. There he took the keys of hell away from Satan, freed those in hell, and opened the door for humans to be able to go to Heaven to forever be with God in eternity when we die. He rose again (came back to life) on the third day and ascended to Heaven to be with us again one day.
In essence, because of Adam and Eve, all humans are born to a sinful world; thus, we are born in a sinful state. All humans are the same. We are all sinners. Good Christians do not believe they are better than others for being saved. We all fall short of the glory of God. So we all need Jesus' gift of salvation.
To be saved, you have to confess with your mouth that you are a sinner, that you believe Jesus is the Son of God, that he died on the cross, and that he rose from the dead on the third day and ascended to Heaven. The last thing you must do is ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you. And that's how you do it.
Christians don't believe there are any actions you can do that can make you, on your own, be good enough or perfect enough to go to Heaven, hence our need for Jesus' gift of salvation. Perfection is an impossible goal. The Bible, which Christian's believe to be God's Holy Word, calls Christians to make disciples and tell other humans about the good news so that they also can be saved.
    Sorry that was so long.
Does that make sense? This is simplified a lot (there is a whole book about this after all 😂) but it gets the job done.

Yeonmi is a paid, celebrity witness. The Diplomat did a write up of her about how her stories do not line up, and they have the receipts. It’s is fabricated, unfortunately. I know that perspective is difficult and unfair, it seems, but that’s the point of such a story perfectly tuned over time to appeal to your emotions. If you need more proof look at the Greyzone video with Max Blumenthal, and another further report he did previously. There is a literal TV program in South Korea where North Korean defectors compete with their lavishly embellished escape stories to win.. it’s a game show. Yeonmi Park has personally made almost $1,000,000 telling her story.
Her story changes massively. One of the most crucial changes in her story from the initial tv interview is that her father was initially with her when she left N.K.. later she said it was only her mom that was with her, in order to weave in the part where her mom is raped to save her from that assault- a much more heart-wrenching progression.
Says she was poor but slips up by saying she grew up with her mum having chanel handbags🥴....how can anyone think this clown is telling the truth. Anything she says is suspect, as she could easily be grifting Rightwing media.
The story is she stole other defectors stories. She was a high ranking person in DPRK (according to one version they claimed) and did escape (probably through bribes). She steals other people’s stories to make her story sound more sensational. you will always see someone trying to be over dramatic and get attention and fame by making the story 100 times worst. Did she go through horrible things? We don't know. Did she use other peoples stories and exploit them as her own? Yes, 100 percent.
She's definitely from North Korea and she definitely "escaped" but I'm pretty sure she's laying the story on thick because her whole career depends on it. It's her livelihood.
She's Korean Elizabeth Holmes. She arrived here in South Korea and used the refugee system in every way, got free education, numerous plastic surgeries including breast implants, appeared on TV to find a rich man, failed, then rehearsed years for the show targeting foreign countries.
They never escaped to Mongolia. Her mother never raped, and they never kidnapped/captured as sex-slaves! And her father never was or died in China! The whole story/ her book is pure fabrication. I can document it! But I am not aware of their real life/ story! I just know that they are lying! She lied about her father's death, and got exposed by North Korean government, so she had to admit it (in silence! few people were paying attention to it). Here you go :
"But North Korean government came after me and described me that I didn't suffering in North Korea and also they said that my father died in North Korea not in China, and they say that I was an very ambitious girl because he gripping ambitious extremely bad thing and they say you are an ambitious girl, and your father was a bad person, and your mom was immoral person...........But they didn't really come up with a like big thing *except my father died in North Korea* and my father's ashes were in China, and my mother went to China a few months ago and brought my father's ashes to South Korea." (ReasonTV : In Order to Live: Yeonmi Park's North Korean Defector Story Nov 13, 2015)

Yes, I absolutely agree with You, as I had lived in Romania, for more than 20 years & I have fully experienced on my own skin, the horrors of life under a socialist dictatorship!!! You are perfectly right, socialism is just another title for communism. Socialism = Comunism.
I truly thank GOD, for people like you, who gives a real voice to all people of North Korea & especially to North Korean Christians, too!!! Please, be eencouraged, for the very best purpose in life, for fighting for international freedom. You are not alone. Many times I'm thinking about all the people of North Korea & praying for freedom to come to North Korea!!! I very much respect, admire You & I believe that GOD has especially chosen You, for this very nobil mission to speak up for all the people, who have no voice. I'm looking forward to hear from You, again. Keep up with with the greatest work for freedom!!! GOD bless you. Ben, from Auckland city - North Island, New Zealand.

Few learn the language fluently enough to express themselves succintly on the complex subjects that you address. You have accomplished that task and all your listeners benefit from it. Congratulations! You're a person who searches for truth. God honors that. You are a person of integrity. That is honorable also. You've come to understand that God is merciful and forgiving. That is so freeing!!It is a part of freedom that no one can take away from you. Evil will always try to twist truth and manipulate in order to hold people in bondage. Your eyes see through the deception and lies that evil uses. Keep standing for truth and God will lead you into more truth. Lies bring bondage. Truth brings freedom. You desire true freedom, not something superficial. Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32. I believe God has called you to be a spokesperson for those whose cry for freedom is not heard. Be faithful to that calling. Be encouraged. People who care are listening.

We say Kṛṣṇa. Others chant Allah, or Jehovah, or Rāma. Just like a word is found in so many languages, but meaning is the same.

I'm not sure if you'll see this, but I wanted to clarify some things that you talked about at 21:00.
The Bible does say that we are ALL "sinners". This means that non of us are perfect. We all make mistakes, no matter how good our intentions are. That is part of human nature.
But GOD loves us and wants to forgive us. It doesn't matter how big or small our "sins" and mistakes are.
So no, it is NOT true that you can never have redemption.
GOD has already taken all of our mistakes onto the cross, when Jesus died for us. He has shed his blood so that we can be free from whatever wrong we have done or has been done to us.
All we have to do is ask him.

I’m also floored that so many of us care more about dogs then people. I’ve been met with intense opposition when stating this opinion in fact. The usual defense given is that animals can’t defend themselves, well neither can entire groups of people. According to recent statistics (freedom house) as many as 2.6 billion people live under oppression. Much like animals, these human beings also have no voice. They need to be first when it comes to our help and compassion. Part of being free is the freedom to use your resources as you see fit, that doesn’t make your right or just. It’s reprehensible that dogs are chosen over humans for rescue, those who devote their time, resources and voice to this “noble” endeavor really need to examine their life and their values.

Thank goodness for my grandmother and grandfather, who were Christians and who taught me better! I've never been attracted to the crazy loose sex lifestyle. I've literally seen it tear families apart and ruin lives. :(
