The 6:51 part is unreal. It's like some massive alien space ship descending towards earth speaking an unknown language. And we have no choice but to bow in our pitiful narrow state of existence. I'm melting.
makes me wonder why they changed it back towards a more 70s sound for later albums. If I could find that guitar tone I would never change my settings ever again
Fucking a Thought I was the only one I be imaging some V for Vendetta shit Pulling out knives in slow mo Weilding at ppl on the train cuz mass transit sucks
I love how hazy and spacey this album is. The feel is very thick and heavy, with clear psychedelic influences as well. This is definitely one of their best albums.
I think it's the best album they put out with the spacy trippy heavy feel to it . I know Dopethrone is supposed to be there heaviest but I miss the space element this album possesses
for me it's their best work, at least talking about the sound texture... crushing guitar tones, so fuzzy... I can sense the valves burning and the smell of weed coming out... the drums, also, they are very minimal and so well mixed... it fits so well, angustianting and depressive, makes you want to wake up but the nightmare never ends
What means "angustianting"? And please don't tell me "nothin", cause it SOUNDS like a perfectly, you know, CROMULENT word. And I'm already using it in sentences, dammit.
"i hope this fuck you world fucking burns away". that's quite the absolute floor to work against, isn't it? oddly inspiring, as the valves seat poorly and burn . . .
Their best album. As good as Dopethrone is, it's often too bloated and muddled for its own good. Here it's more cohesive and instruments have room to breathe. First 3 tracks are god tier level and some of their best recordings. Doom classic
That's part of dopethrones aesthetic and you're probably listening to the shitty RUclips audio lol, but they're both pretty great to people for similar reasons and definitely on par
I think Come My Fanatics definitely has a clearer production but that's not to the detriment of Dopethrone. The whole album was supposed to be filthy and sickly. I think it did precisely what it set it out to be, if not better.
Lmfao Dopethrone isn’t good. That record stunk, all the way from the horrible mix to the unbearably cringy, cheesy name. What a disappointment after Fanatics, which is one of the heaviest albums ever recorded, and one of the most organically heavy albums you’ll ever hear. Dopethrone was like “look at us, we’re super heavy! And we like weeed! And did we mention we’re really heavy & like weeeeed?!?” 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
this album came out the year i went insane for the 3rd time... that one was a doozy, i didn't hear the album until 15 years later... electric fucking wizard i love you
0:40 a profound sensation envelops me, as if my very essence is transcending its physical confines. The deep, resonant tones of the electric guitar and the menacing rumble of the bass create a sonic landscape that feels simultaneously expansive and enveloping. As the music washes over me, I sense an ethereal disconnection from my corporeal existence, as if my soul is being drawn into the depths of the music itself. The combination of the electrifying guitar riff and the pulsating bassline seems to dissolve the boundaries between body and sound, transporting me to a realm where the boundaries of reality blur and the raw power of music reigns supreme. It's a moment of intense immersion and catharsis, where the music becomes more than just a sound-it becomes a conduit for transcendence
People love to shout out dopethrone...and I love Electric Wizard....I've seen them live....I've heard that Jus is a money grubbing snake....they often show up too late and are in no condition to play...I've heard it all.I don't care.Jus and the almighty wizard create art...full albums. You don't skip. You put it on and sink into it...lol,I've gone greatly off course. My point:Come My Fanatics is an amazing experience...every bit equal to Dopethrone.
Honey Berkana better than dopethrone by miles. Dopethrone got me into doom but Come My Fanatics made me forgo attending law school to start a doom band.
tbh i'm more of a fan of dopethrone because it makes me feel like i'm smoking a bowl with the devil while watching the world die in a meteor storm, but this shit rips too
Damn im old. I havent taken a dab in 3 years but I just started listening to this 15 mins ago and already the walls are breathing and I swear when I look out in my yard the trees are changing positions. I better go do a shot of Beam and do a dab then come back to Earth. All Hail the Dopethrone!

Good stuff! There's a newish band called Windhand that sounds like they definitely took some inspiration from Electric Wizard. I recommend them highly. The voice of the lead singer Dorthia Cottrell will melt away your hope of ever feeling happiness again.
definitely my favorite EW album. terrific pacing, great soundscape and buzzy textures, and awesome variety of songs. a lot of doom records suffer from monotony, but this record is an example for doom bands to go by

That guitar tone will crush all of your hopes and dreams. I like it.
governments already done that
the riff is just picking the pieces back up, and reassembling them to re-obliterate into nothing
Forget the guitar tone. Listen to that BASS!

@@itookallthenames use a boss FZ-2 hyper fuzz pedal for this tone! 👌
I feel like the guitar tone in this record could open a void.
Right!?!?🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It can open a void......it did open a void...... and the Wizard came through it!
HAHAHAHAHA well said bro. It definitely opened a hole in the sky that Black Sabbath was talking about.
You’re damn right, I swear I can feel this dark seductive energy coming from the music, this and dopethrone
What do you mean could?
This album got me high without any weed.
saame
exactly
It's so much better high but still it's fine
so this album completed its task properly.
Was actually high while listening to this back in 2011. Scared the shit out of me Lmfao
Love this band! Always makes me want to destroy things in slow motion.

pretty nice personification of their sound >:)

It's awesome that you can tell they all got in the same room to record. You can hear the snare rattling from the guitar on "Wizard In Black."
Im pretty sure all their albums were recorded live. Dopethrone for sure was, This one probably was too
that's the finest detail i always loved!
It's like music from the fifth dimension. Too good to leave on the internet, just bought the CD. Descending down through abyssal plains.
Always been a huge fan of Black Sabbath, was chatting to a friend and he suggested listening to Electric Wizard. Ohoh boy am I glad! \m/
I had lots of plans for my 4 hr break between shifts, but just ended up stuck to my bed listening to Electric Wizard and reading comments.
I love how hazy and spacey this album is. The feel is very thick and heavy, with clear psychedelic influences as well. This is definitely one of their best albums.
Lol this is their only great album

FUN FACT: "Solarian" was mastered with one secret, distinct purpose -- sending every dish on the shelf in your kitchen onto the floor.
This has to be my fave Electric Wizard album thus far.
I've just got my brain melted, damn this is is like getting high without drugs.
Protip: listening to it whilst on drugs makes the brain-melting literal. :D

Tuned to drop ZZZZ, played through a blood and grime soiled muddy towel. Tuned so low it can trigger bowel movement. This is perfection.
I turned volume higher and felt how ground was shaking under my feet
I guarantee that you're bobbing your head while listening to that heavy guitar. It's impossible not to.
I like the other cover art with Anton LaVey and his culprits under a black sun.

Wizard in Black
A tower stands on the edge of time
Upon it stands the astral mind
The burning chaosphere seethes behind
Ours to see yet we are blind
The eyes of God look upon what he's done
And the eyes of Man look on and beyond
I am a god, I am the one
Into the chaos see my time has begun
The wizard in black reveals the sign
The chosen are ready, destiny realigns

Alone again, once again, into the void
Cosmic eye in the heart of the sun
Freedom rays awaken the chosen ones
