First heard by me the day after Elvis died in 1977 when Radio One were playing all his tracks. They played this as i was having my dinner and it was the best EP track i had heard all day. Still really like it now and always will.

My personal opinion is that Hound Dog represents the high water mark of Rock n Roll. I would stack this song against any other Rock n Roll song of any era. No song rocks harder that this song. Play any song of any group in Rock history of any off shoot of Rock and then play this song. This song is amazing.

4th grade was the first time I ever heard Elvis and this was the first ever song I heard. My best friend (also 4th grade) played this at our sleepover and I loved him ever since. I am now 18 and still listen to him. I am playing him to my nephews and niece so that they know his name.
