The arc of Toshiko Kasen in Liberty City Stories is sorely underrated by GTA fans. Her sadness at being in a marriage of convenience with a man who clearly wasn’t interested in women is easy to see and feel and I love the symbolism of her keeping a bird in a cage and then releasing it after Tony’s last mission for her. She’s felt trapped in her marriage with Kazuki and when his business has been ruined and Kazuki has lost been ended by Toni she finally feels free. It also helps that Toni, who is as hard boiled as they come and who is shown to be cold hearted in the rest of both Liberty City Stories and GTA 3 seems to have a soft spot for her and feels genuinely saddened when she loses her life. It’s a beautiful storyline in what amounts to a lot of people as a throwaway portable Grand Theft Auto game.
While I agree about Toshiko's death being sad, the missions as a whole felt like a bit of a shaggy dog story due to the Yakuza being one of the most powerful gangs in Liberty City in GTA 3 despite Toni seemingly costing them tons of men and resources.

I honestly feel bad for the whole killing Kenji for Donald Love as well. The Yakuza really gave off the impression they weren't going to be so quick to backstab Claude. Kenji wasn't exactly as likeable as Asuka, but given that she remained loyal and he was her brother, it kind of makes the whole thing sad.
You just said it yourself. They gave a good impression because they were good at manipulating it to their advantage, I don't find it sad at all when they are responsible for people who didn't even deserve to die. @dadsa-yf6mqyou might not have cared about her but canonically Niko is supposed to get attached to Kate and see in her a way to try to have a normal life and be a good person. At least if you take ending Revenge. Idk how many players know this but if you date Kate long enough (getting 90% of her affection or more) you get a special dialogue where Niko tells Kate just that, that he doesn't want to be involved with the people he has been till that moment and that he wants to try to be good and thinks that he can do that by getting with her to which Kate says that he doesn't have to say anything else and that she finally believes him, implying they were gonna get together if it wasn't for Pegorino killing her. Revenge ending was gonna be Niko's happy ending if he hadn't make the mistake of leaving Pegorino alive. For GTA V in my opinion the moment Trevor was forced to send Patricia back to her husband's was the saddest, we can obviously observe Trevor's need of being loved and not left alone, and Patricia was literally the only one that cares about Trevor's feelings, and the way Trevor acts during that specific moment is very heartbreaking.
saddest moment in gta3 is the player knowing that claude will kill kenji, a real ally, and that will lead to breaking asuka's heart, which is the only friend of him. then that sadness transpired into anger when u remembered Donald love gave u the mission, the same persone we all get pissed off at LCS when he was unthankful of Toni
Yeah let's ignore the fact that he is a mass murderer, a drug addict, a psychopath, a bully and an occasional rap!st, cannibal, kidnapper and serial killer, he definitely is not a maniac but is the most empathic and makes the most sense, like you say. Lol.
Toshikos suicide really saddened me. You could clearly see that Tony developed feelings for her and liked him back in my opinion. But there's no way she could walk away after what she did to the yakuza. Especially Asuka wouldn't stop looking for her and she would ensure that Toshikos dead would be slow and painful. Even Tony couldn't protect her because his social environment would never accept them to be together eventhough it would be a interesting storyline seeing Tony turning against Salvatore and his mother over this. But even then both would be killed. This way she could at least decide how she dies
Yeah he made a deal with Dave, had him kill Trevor and arrest Brad but Brad got in the way so Dave had to improvise so he non lethally shot Michael too to make Trevor get out in the open hoping either him or the police would have got him. When Trevor escaped, Dave helped Michael fake his death and move to Los Santos with his family.
IDK why, the ending where you go after Trevor was far more sad to me than the ending with Mike. Trevor was far more genuine with his peers, and hearing his line about thinking he was dealing with one Judas when he was surrounded by them just hit me in the heart. It was just so much more identifiable than the whole "student becomes the master" ending between Franklin and Michael. Even with his family calling you up, they all knew what game Michael was playing. They had to uproot their lives to go into hiding with him and live a lie. Trevor lost everything TWICE and nobody really bat an eye because of his temperament. Both his "friends" lied to him, kept him around to make money, then once they decided he was no longer useful or too dangerous, or their easy way out of a rock and a hard place, they kill him. Nothing in GTA 5 was sadder to me.
The saddest moment in GTA 4 to me is if you decide to off Dwayne. And the ending if you decide to not save Roman. I don't know why Michaels's death in GTA5 was so traumatizing for Franklin. I couldn't stand him!
No matter which ending you choose in GTA IV, the game ends on a sad note. Niko loses someone he loved and it’s truly sad to see unfold. Of course as many know Kate dying and everything that happens afterwards is the canonical ending, but having another ending where Roman dies is still unfortunate to see happen.

The credits. Much like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, they aren't sad by themselves until you realize that this is the very last GTA game on the PlayStation 2... and this time, for damn certain. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories 😢😢😢
I agree with most of your saddest moments but to me, in VC, Tommy’s genuine guilt and remorse for killing Lance and not believing that he betrayed him was the saddest part for me. In GTA 4, my saddest moment is when Roman loses his business and apartment as it is canon unlike his death or Kate’s death which is determined by Niko’s actions. I find it heartbreaking that Roman built himself up from scratch and Niko just inadvertently ruined his life because he trusted the wrong person. The helplessness is even worse than how CJ was after his exile. To me, Jim’s death is the saddest TLAD moment because Jim died because of Johnny and we were powerless to prevent it, and it was the last nail in the coffin for the Lost. In TBOGT, Luis almost killing Tony and giving up to his stress due to Bulgarin’s power is my saddest moment as Luis was seen as virtually unstoppable and now he was scared for his life. Ending B and A are both very sad but non-canon thankfully so my saddest moment is in Fresh Meat, where the direct consequence of Michael’s actions is shown to affect each of the three main characters, and even Franklin’s disbelief, showing his belief and loyalty to Michael was sad.
It is sad but not that sad Roman cried after his apartment and taxi depot were burned, but he was happy about insurance company paid him off after arson
The ranking of Yakuza is heavily impacted by the Chinese patriarchal society. The top of the Yakuza, "kumicho" or we called the chairman, is like the leader of the entire big family, and his eldest son, so called "wakagashira" is the second in-command, and to be seen as the successor at the time, the number three usually be the "shateigashira", which means the chairman's eldest brother in the Yakuza's culture. The wakagashira and his brothers, "wakagashira hosa" plus the shateigashira, are to be seen as the command center in most case.
The saddest moment in gta lcs is the toni`s ma mission because in every his mother always bicker why is toni is not a real man but toni try`s to show his ma that he is a real man but his ma only bicker because of his doings and in the last mission of toni`s ma ,toni`s ma hire hit men on him and in the mission making toni after the mission you get a call by toni`s ma and his ma only praised him one time just one time because in toni`s childhood his ma is only angry and scold him because he is not a real man truly a sad man
Saddest death are GTA Chinatown Wars Ling Shan die too early 2 missions and she die in beta she could have bigger role but Rockstar Change it to final version sadly bad she deserve more than that too bad we didnt see her more and do mission with her maybe the story or the game would be more interesting
Tbh i feel all these games except GTA3 have sad moments , Lance betraying Tommy in the end after so many chances to make up for his mistakes , In San Andreas finding out that Ryder and Big Smome betray the Family and in the end having to kill them , Toshikos Suicide in LCS , Louise's death in VCS .... But GTA 4 takes the cake in my opinion, Darkos Death not bringing any worth of consience or peace to Niko ... but the ending too , in my Opinion GTA 4 shows the most realistic ending and the dark truth of the criminal world , you either swallow your pride and honor disappointing the Woman who you love due to your own Greed resulting in your Cousin, the Reason you came to LC to die ... or you stand by your word and take revenge ... this time resulting in the woman you care about to die TLAD was sad that Billy would be so greedy and distasteful trying to betray his best men and trying to screw them over TBOGT's Sad Moment was Tony to become how Luis said it " a useless Junkie f**k " it was understandable that Luis would have been thinking about shooting him because Tony lost his Integrity and made Mistakes nonstop getting distracted I find it suprising Chinatown wasn't included here but i think the saddest moment there was killing uncle Kenny after finding out that he was responsible for Huang's father's death But GTA 5 was filled with Moments like these too ... Trevor finding out Brad is in the Grave and leaving Michael to the Chinese, Killing Trevor but also Michael Trevor was the most Loyal , yeah he might be a Jerk and maybe annoying and creepy but no matter how much he hates Michael he doesn't shoot him Michael was a Jerk often too but he brought Franklin in the Criminal world he knows well and became a sort of Student and Master Relationship and he has a family to lose .... I'm glad i always picked C because as much as we have Reasons to dislike Michael and Trevor at times... i rather want to put bullets in Merryweather , Haines and Wei Cheng , Stab Streach that traitorous MF and put Devin in a trunk before sending him down a hill
The saddest moment in the series as a whole is the absolutely disgusting humour found in the games. That thing ruined the games for me always. Such bull heard on the radios, in dialogues in the HD era, on billboards. Absolutely disgusting. I cannot enjoy GTAs anymore because I can't bear the games' "jokes". Add to that another disgusting Rockstar game Manhunt. It is so horrible it's unbearable.
I dont know it kinda feels like there was 0 effort put in, no research at all and rather just googled something out to put in a video. Gta 4 was dark for the whole, the war theme, the revenge one, the whole thing there was just one person pursuing almost nothing and one way or another just loses either love or family. In Gta 5 whole lying and fuck over people close to you to have a proper life, in GTA SA your own people who you thought are close setting you all up. Guy really showed nothing to be honest.

Cars: *_"Am I a joke to you?"_*
Hey make a video of why Vincenzo hates tony

GTA: OnLine proves the deathwish ending which debunks both alternate endings.
CJ’s baby mama.?😂
Gta CTW?
The credits. Much like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, they aren't sad by themselves until you realize that this is the very last GTA game on the PlayStation 2... and this time, for damn certain.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
😢😢😢
HUBSON GAMES CZY TO TY
It is sad but not that sad
Roman cried after his apartment and taxi depot were burned, but he was happy about insurance company paid him off after arson
Bro who wrote this script 💀, good video tho
What graphic mod is he using for GTA 3 and Vice City?
Gta v sad johnny dead....
But GTA 4 takes the cake in my opinion, Darkos Death not bringing any worth of consience or peace to Niko ... but the ending too , in my Opinion GTA 4 shows the most realistic ending and the dark truth of the criminal world , you either swallow your pride and honor disappointing the Woman who you love due to your own Greed resulting in your Cousin, the Reason you came to LC to die ... or you stand by your word and take revenge ... this time resulting in the woman you care about to die
TLAD was sad that Billy would be so greedy and distasteful trying to betray his best men and trying to screw them over
TBOGT's Sad Moment was Tony to become how Luis said it " a useless Junkie f**k " it was understandable that Luis would have been thinking about shooting him because Tony lost his Integrity and made Mistakes nonstop getting distracted
I find it suprising Chinatown wasn't included here but i think the saddest moment there was killing uncle Kenny after finding out that he was responsible for Huang's father's death
But GTA 5 was filled with Moments like these too ... Trevor finding out Brad is in the Grave and leaving Michael to the Chinese, Killing Trevor but also Michael
Trevor was the most Loyal , yeah he might be a Jerk and maybe annoying and creepy but no matter how much he hates Michael he doesn't shoot him
Michael was a Jerk often too but he brought Franklin in the Criminal world he knows well and became a sort of Student and Master Relationship and he has a family to lose ....
It is so horrible it's unbearable.
... wimp
Cant stand the new narrator, i feel like im listening to a 15 year old with a lisp
Honestly, I dont think you really made a research on it, skipped many things and just grabbed few things out of the games.
9 veiws in 7.23 seconds fell of
😂😂this didn't age well bro
It's views not whatever the hell you spelled it as😂
1 like after this comment was posted you fell off😂
love the work you put into the videos
I dont know it kinda feels like there was 0 effort put in, no research at all and rather just googled something out to put in a video. Gta 4 was dark for the whole, the war theme, the revenge one, the whole thing there was just one person pursuing almost nothing and one way or another just loses either love or family. In Gta 5 whole lying and fuck over people close to you to have a proper life, in GTA SA your own people who you thought are close setting you all up. Guy really showed nothing to be honest.
