If a Radar gets replaced, a module configuration must be performed before the dynamic calibration. I never saw that the Astech tech did any configuration.
Hi Oscar. Many vehicles do require configuration or coding after replacement. This step was not highlighted in the video, but asTech does offer coding services for many OEMs and modules. While many coding procedures can be completed through the asTech device, others may require the use of an on site tool. asTech offers mobile, in shop technician service in many markets for this and other repairs. For pricing and more details, I’d suggest contacting your local asTech rep.
@@HunterLearningChannel Thanks for the info. The particular vehicle that you were doing the presentation on, does require the PMI after replacement, this is why I commend on your video. I spoke to a rep from Astech, and they don’t offer programming on line, they told me that they would not do programming because it could corrupt the file when is downloading through their device since is not straight from the manufacture. By using their pass through unit, it slows down the way it would be done through the factory system and their for they would not do it.
Hello, thanks for the question. The asTech device stayed connected to the internet through a WiFi Hotspot. We mention that early in the in the video, at the 1:12 mark. Thank you.
The technology nowadays is so much more convenient than even just a decade ago. Kudos!
Awesome equipment and very clear video.
How will I get same tool astech hunters are using the calibration and how much does it cost

How did the asTech device remain connected to the internet during the road test? I did not hear any mention of that detail.
