What makes some people become kayakers and other people become fighter pilots? What makes some people become photographers and other people choose paints and canvas? What causes some people to become music performers and other people to become music appreciators? I am glad that we have all kinds of people. The world would be a very boring place if we had only one kind or another. The path which took people in the direction they went is, to me, as fascinating as what they ended up doing. The fact that they collaborate to make something as wonderful as this is frosting on the cake, especially when you consider that there are a lot of people in this world who can't even join in and watch the end product. There are plenty of us who can have neither frosting or cake. We are all lucky. Very lucky. Even if we cannot participate in any way other than watching.
