The result looks great, no more mud! A friendly suggestion, consider a flame torch for easier use in tight driveways. It's very handy! Have a nice weekend and a great start to the next week!
Andris, not sure how many years I have been watching. But, always hoping for gravel roads. 100,00 subs and kick in 5000 likes and 150 comments to boot. As they say inch by inch it's a cinch, yard by yard it's hard. Kudos to you. I turned 65 last week, and lost my job, at the same time. Not the least bit worried. Thank you for sharing so much and putting all this hard work and excellent filming and editing. #1 after super mom.
Road works !!!! ,How many times have i cursed them, ?, I sat and watched 2½ hours of it t last evening , and it was more relaxing than sitting in a contraflow listening to shite radio .and weather forecasts ,,Thank you Andris, Have a fab weekend ,,
It’s said the mark of a good man is what he leaves behind when he’s gone… I disagree. I believe that mark is left for what he’s done for others. You’re a good man Andris, nice work once again! Super Mom &Sis should be happy now with the added space and safety of a more solid foundation under their wheels, especially this upcoming winter. Thanks for taking us along brother, was a good watch. So now I’m wondering if you’re scoping out the ads for a huge old drum or barrel you can fill with concrete to make your own roller. Sure having it vibrate would be best but just rolling it on a scorching hot few days WILL compact down and harden nicely. Stay safe and healthy😉✌🏼

Thank you so much for your hard work and taking us along with you! 😊 Please keep us informed on how the re-planted tree does … I hope it returns with a vengeance! 🤪 Also, when your winter storms hit, please keep us informed how the new roads do! 😌😉
Good movie on soil types, aggregation types, elevations, drainage, and general distribution of material. Thanks. That last load was pretty interesting.
You should always compact any stone you put down, more so stone with dust in it as it will seal it, you don't want water puddling under it, you want the water to run off it to the edges where it will soak away, once water starts to soak away in the stone you put on the drive it will cause soft spots and the only way to get rid of these soft spots will be to dig them completely out and relay new crushed asphalt.......The ground really should have been compacted before you put the Asphalt down and after the Asphalt was put down, but you don't have a lot of traffic coming down your drive so that what you've done may be ok, time will only tell.
Hi Andris a spreader bar for the Bobcat is an attachment that's easy to fabricate and does an excellent job of leveling dirt and gravel. Dimensions are available online. Great video.
A few old tire chains lag bolted to a 6x6 timber dragged behind your atv makes a much faster rake than the hand variety....great job on your driveway...Rock on Bro!
Hi Ants, a light spray of diesel (like out of a pump weed sprayer) along with sunlight for a couple days will impressively cause the millings to join together and harden. It’s not perfectly uniform, but it does well enough that it’s worth buying the diesel for it.
In stead of getting a longer cylinder for the Bobcat plow, just change the attachment point for the cylinder and move it forward -- once you do that you will have the amount of extension that you need to turn the plow most of the way over to the other side. Of course, traditional plows use a cylinder on each side -- it limits the amount of back pressure from the plow load on the system -- one extends as the other contracts.
YESS!! Me & My 6 year Son who absolutely loves your channel, Have just got the popcorn out!!2 & 1/2 hours of Ants Pants.. Thanks for the extra long vid today Great job!!
Great job! We used the same stuff at work and it really lasts, even at a busy heavy equipment shop. We used a small vibrating roller to compact it, mainly to get really settled and packed before winter so as not to tear it up
Excellent job, looks great. My friend did a similar thing on his road, and after rolling it, he put diesel oil in a garden sprayer on a hot sunny day and it locked the whole road together. You just have to deal with the smell for a while.
great job, looks amazing. Will definitely reduce the amount of mud on sister's bat mobile .... I don't know where you get the energy. :) Thx for the video!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I do have a comment on this one.. Commercial show plows have some kind of shock absorber on the blade itself to save the hydraulics (hoses and valves) on the machine from high pressure spikes. You can think of the cylinder as becoming a pump when you hit something hard like a rock or roots. Just mentioning it. 🙂
Andris, I really enjoyed this video. Actually I enjoy all the videos. All the time and energy that you have put in to your equipment has really paid off. Keep on keeping on.😀

A small warning about recycled asphalt. Some dubious seller like to sell contaminated batches to private people. These batches are from industry facilities / roads. They can contain oil, heavy metals and asbestos. Normally asphalt is to 70-90% recyclable. The left over are just fine rocks and dust.
@@melissaroth4467 There are hundreds of different mixtures for different use cases and climates. You can't determine the quality by just looking at it. You have to sample it. Fair dinkum Andris, that was a real saga mate, I’ve built a few roads on my farm but that was a bloody awesome effort mate and what a difference visually and practically it will make, no more muddy feet for your family. Thanks for sharing that project! It's great to see the Yanmar, Bobcat and tractor all in the one video. I nearly thought you were going to use Joseph to compact everything down aswell.
Bro! That's looks awesome!!! Totally worth all the hard work. I get doing new asphalt would be so expensive, so this is the perfect solution. And I think you should buy a compactor because you can use if for more than just the driveway. Glad to see Super Mom and the munchkins. Until next week take care! Bill

The key to good roads and parking areas is drainage. Clay absorbs moisture and freezes then heaves up in winter.
Surpassed yourself again Andris, brilliant job mate, well done, super family will be impressed 😃
Thanks 👍
Hey ho Andris, I was really happy when I read the title of the new video. No more mud season. Congratulations to the new road.
Thanks! 😃
If I may suggest, install side borders around driveways to prevent dirt from coming in.
I was told this is a bad idea. Might make issues later.mowing and stuff
Crushed asphalt is great material for roadways. Get it rolled in and it will all lock together.
The drive way came out really good! It was too funny when you explained the situation with the work area sign!!🤣🤣👍👍
