Thanks for posting this I was wondering how it would be to cruise during rough seas. It looks better than I had imagined. Had you not shown the outside or mentioned it, I would have never guessed it was happening.
The ship is huge Meg, so there needs to be pretty big waves for you to physically feel the ship moving! This cruise wasn’t too bad, pools were closed a few days but nothing too serious 😁 thank you for watching 🙏
If the pools are still open then it's only a gentle swell. The bigger ships tend to be pretty stable in most weathers, I'm prone to motion sickness at sea and I've rarely had any issues. Our last cruise (Oct/Nov 2023) was caught in storm Ciaran and the ship dealt admirably with swells of about 5-6m. One tip for open time dining, many ships (with anytime dining venues) give the option to reserve a time in the app. If you set a reservation time set up it will normally have a grace period (typically 15-20 mins) & you can always cancel it. Just reduces the potential waiting time at busy periods if you tend to eat around the same time each day, or if you know you need to eat early or late on a given day for any particular reason.
You’re right, the waves weren’t that bad 😁 I did reserve dinner times a few days but most days I didn’t. I don’t want to reserve a time then cancel because maybe someone else would actually need that time slot. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for another great video! We’ll be traveling on the Breakaway in February for our first transatlantic cruise. I see so many similarities between the ships. :).
Little tip for rough sea days. Firstly when walking walk a bit like a pengiun and when standing still bend knees slightly shoulder width apart and it basically helps with your stability
Good morning, Ben ! Usually stormy weather does not impact a huge cruise ship. It happened to me on the Caribbean several years ago. It was afterwards that the captain told us we had had a bad storm. I had terrible sea sickness on a outseas fishing boat several times ! Good day !
If things get bad weather wise you will find they put sea sickness bags by the stairs. Or you can go to guest services to get sea sickness tablet's etc
Hi Ben, motion sickness is the worst so hopefully you won't have many rough Sea days. Looks like you made up for the bad weather by having a lot of good food and desserts to end the meal. It would be awesome if you could catch the Chinese people's reaction to you speaking fluent Chinese to them. There is a channel that features a guy that goes to foreign restaurants and orders in their language fluently. It is so neat to see the server's reaction when they speak so well. If you have a waterproof Go Pro it would be neat to film you going on the Drop Waterslide and your reaction. Enjoy the rest of your cruise and looking forward to your future videos.
Cheers, Ben 👍 the food always makes up for it 😂 it’s funny seeing people’s reaction to foreigners speaking Chinese. I asked if I can take a GoPro down the slide and they said no!
It’s a window to the corridor, it has a light so it feels like it’s a port hole but it’s just a window. There’s a cabin tour coming up where I explain everything! Thanks 🙏

your room looks really well lit! what's behind the circular doors...does it lead to another dimension with unicorns? 🙂
The cabin is well lit! That’s the entrance to the slide 😊

Thanks, James!
Good afternoon, Ben ! It could get rough but still roughly smooth !
Right, David! It wasn’t too bad! No complaints.
@@TravelWithBen121 The boat sails like a city under storms !
did the rocking make you sleep longer? 🙂
Sometimes it helps 😂

Cheers, David! Luckily the big waves don’t affect me very much so I was enjoying it!
@@TravelWithBen121 Ben, ever heard the big boy was upside down and they climbed around to find the doors?
I don’t know what that means, David.
@@TravelWithBen121 I got really sick with the waves and the gas smoke on the rear of the fishing boat and I vomited badly !

Thank you, Sophia! I would love to! 😁👍
This is my idea of one hellish holiday!
Sooo don’t go on a cruise 👍
@@TravelWithBen121 I won't!
What's behind the sliding doors next to the bed?
You mean what looks like a window? It's a screen which basically is like a feed to the outside views usually. So like a virtual window

you're a chocolate monster!
I have a sweet tooth 🍰
