Thank you so much for this. As a Canadian, the Twin Otter brings a lot of pride. The first production was 1965 -1988 by de Havilland at its design and production in Toronto. Initially, this lovely bird helped to connect remote places across Canada, helped to develop remote industries and to provide jobs and sustainability in places that could never be reached by road, rail or ferry. The Twin Otter is a workhorse and a genius of engineering. Other than modern avionics it is still the same thing and I'm certain the designers never dreamt it would someday ferry luxury holiday makers in the Maldives. Fun fact - an original production Twin Otter is actually worth more today than its purchase price some 45+ years ago.
We have been fortunate to travel to the Maldives 13 times. Booked our 14th. Sea plane every time. It’s been a drug and nowhere else comes close. Traveled everywhere apart from Pacific region. It’s part of the holiday.
Great video! Oh man, this brings back such great memories of when we stayed at You & Me in 2021! The flight was a dream for me and the entire experience was unforgettable.
Pour se poser au kuramathi, nous avons profité du vol fantastique au départ de Malé. Le vol vaut à lui seul le voyage paradisiaque aux Maldives. Une merveille a faire absolument en approche aérienne.
Flying to the Maldives on the 14th, unfortunately our flight won't be on a seaplane, part of the experience i will miss. This video does show what I can expect when arriving at the airport so thank you for posting it.
These premium luxury travel videos are a boon for millions of people, who cannot afford such expensive travels. You are doing an outstanding job brother. 😊❤
What’s amazing is just the fact of how difficult it was to build up all those little islands that are so far away from mainland civilization. No roads to transport all the building materials and supplies..everything had to come by boat or plane. Quite the undertaking I would imagine. Thanks for the wonderful video and I loved the music as well..
been here since the early days and your quality of videos still amaze me. appreciate such an in depth review for both your hotel, flight and other travel related review. cheers!
I have been lucky enough to travel Trans Maldivian airlines a couple of times. The journey to the resort is the highlight of the holiday. Is very noisy but an extremely beautiful journey.
Thank you for this amazing seaplane video! I was almost going to do a seaplane flight in San Fransisco, had the flight booked and then as my flight got cancelled and had to fly to Hingkong as a flight attendant, was very disappointed as I was so looking forward to this seaplane flight. You re so lucky to be able to these amazing travels and this special seaplane flight! Have a wonderful and safe flight and stay wherever you are flying, I so enjoy your video's as it feels yhat I am still travelling a bit through your eyes 🙏😊
Two trips to the Maldives. Both with Seaplane transfer. On our second trip the weather was bad. Strong winds. On the limit they told us later. It was a ride like nothing else. Very bumpy landing as well. But, a seaplane ride is a seaplane ride.
Yes, I have flown on a sea plane... only not quite like this. It was in Lake country, Onatrio Canada and the plane was a lot smaller. Just a four seater, including pilot. Such a fun experience. I love flying. One day I will fly like this too over the atolls of Maldives, but for now your videos are the next best thing! Thank you!
Hi Traveler. I don't know if I'd go stir crazy on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. It would be nice for a while, until ... And I imagine a trip to the grocery store or the post office would be an All Day event !! booo. It is a very beautiful location.
Fantastic video! Having being to Maldives several times I feel the seaplane ride is a must ( rather than boat when available ) to get the fullest experience of this wonderful place. Can’t wait until next week for video of resort. 🎉. PS- always love seeing your passion for the Soneva resorts as you always make it a point to highlight them in your flight vids!
My Wife and Myself planned to go to the Maldives in 2019 to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary but Covid put paid to that. But we got to go in 2023 for our 54th, it was worth the wait especially the sea plane transfer, it’s noisy ( they give you ear plugs ) but it was the icing on the cake. We went to Reethi Beach Resort, it was everything we imagined and more. We went on the recommendation of our son Glen who’s been that many times he’s almost a local, ( he’s single that’s why he can afford it ) as it’s not a cheap holiday, but if you have the opportunity go, you won’t regret it, great for snorkelling too.
Well Done! I always enjoy your presentations. What was your travel time to the final destination? Cheers brother, I am looking forward to the island walk through. Make it a great day!! 👍
Spectacular Maldives seaplane flight luxury travel expert, loved and enjoyed seeing that again and the views, imagined I was right there, maybe some day. Thank you for the beautiful video. :)
I hope someday I could go to Maldives, it's great option for holidays if I want to spend more for privacy, but some people may say that I can have the same turquoise waters in Riviera Maya, which is an hour and a half by plane from my city, but I would answer that I want to change my destination and live the experience
The DHC-6 Twin Otter is one of the greatest civil aircraft ever built. On several occasions it has conducted emergency medical evacuations from the South Pole in midwinter. It is the only aircraft in the world that has ever pulled that off.
Love you videos. Just a suggestion you may want to blur out peoples full names, addresses, and phone numbers as shown on the luggage tags before there are possible issues. Keep up the good work.
"Mind your hair when fan is operating"...... Riding in prop planes in interesting locations seem to include unusual safety advice. This reminded me of a flight in Afghanistan operated by contractors. The pilot's safety briefing ended with "...keep your frags secure & don't shoot the fuckin' plane, ok..." Then off we went to Kandahar.
Me: Why on Earth is this seaplane terminal 4 storeys tall?! LTE: "The terminal houses more than 40 resort lounges" Me: Oh, okay, I guess that explains that.
The views are great. Not sure I would like to be a pilot there. It's all VFR flying in slow airplanes, and when the weather is bad don't think there is much flying going on. It's over 9,000 miles away via the polar route for me. Think I will stay closer to home.

Thank you for thinking for those who cannot afford it and making them live the flight thanks to the excellent filming quality.
Cada vez sueño de Viajar a estas islas ❤
Maybe you can/will one day....why not you?
On a iphone too. 😂
Each island looks like a little piece of Heaven! Gorgeous video, thank you! 😊
Fantastic view from the seaplane. Thumbs up for your Video.
@ 12:00 Soneva Fushi...how wonderful to see that island again. Thanks for another trip through memory lane!
Your channel is the ONLY one I watch for traveling. Thank 😊 🙏 u.
So beautiful always beautiful videos thank you 🙏
It's over 10 years since we last went to the Maldives and the seaplane flight is definitely a highlight.
We been to Maldives on 2021 and our island was just 20 minutes boat ride so unfortunly we didn't fly a seaplane. Thanks for the video, I enjoy so much
Amazing 😍❤

Great video! Oh man, this brings back such great memories of when we stayed at You & Me in 2021! The flight was a dream for me and the entire experience was unforgettable.
Great view! Always amazing video. Look forward to next week.
Simply breathtaking and like beeing there on your own. Music fits perfect as well. Simply excellent work- thanks!

Starting the day off right with a very good flight. Thank you so much always🥰🇧🇷

I am obsessing with Maldives. ❤❤❤❤❤ Your channels are superb!
Flew from Vancouver to Victoria on Vancouver Island on a Twin Otter. Fantastic experience.
Seaplanes are really beautiful and that coupled with such lovely views 👏🏽
Only time when a transfer isn’t that bad! 😁
Thank you LTE for a beautiful video this morning,,,peace and happiness on your travels,,,,,😊😊😊❤❤❤

Dehavilland Canada builds these seaplanes!
What a fabulous video, however NOW I feel I really have to do this ...

Nice and easy going film .... well done dear LTE! Why havent we seen any lava rock if these are volcanic islands ... just wondering 😊!!
Was in that airport last month it was like a cattle market
I want to live on this plane forever
Please someone pass me the sunscreen because this is such an experience, so real.
Well Done!

Such little seaplanes shake your soul out while flying😂😂😂
Canada builds a surely excellent seaplane!

I hope they have an excellent corrosion prevention/inspection program

While I love to fly I think I would rather take the boat. I really enjoy being on the water. 😊
Wow that's some change from the old terminal. Where has the big model sea plane gone!
🥰 cool... what was filmed for?
Vancouver Island to the mainland many many times. Only crash ever experiences was with a Fairchild 44
Love you videos. Just a suggestion you may want to blur out peoples full names, addresses, and phone numbers as shown on the luggage tags before there are possible issues. Keep up the good work.
Drink service on the flight? A cold GnT would be great for a trip like that!
How very sensible to show the safety video BEFORE getting on the plane. If only land based aircraft did the same.
I live in Maldives
Love

Ozone layer?
I didn't went to that coral lounge I only went to neeri lounge
Maybe it’s just me but I would feel quite nervous about visiting the Maldives… one even minor tsunami and the place is gone,

Sicuramente è il Paradiso terrestre, di meglio non c'è niente.
sea level didn't rise
That seaplane terminal is pretty ugly, not much thought went into the architecture of that, looks like a big square box with blue and green stripes!
You want service in a small plane for a 40 min flight. Get off the drugs
