I loved that vlog, one of the many places I wanted to see but never got there. The Titanic memorials were great. My husbands grandparents were suppose to be on the Titanic but it was over booked. They left Leeds and arrived in Southampton and sailed to Canada on April 20th. 1912. That sandwich that Jane had for breakfast looked really good, except for the hash brown, that I would have given to my husband! I love parks so enjoy your walks through them. Stay safe ❤️😘
It's probably worth mentioning that although the Mayflower did set sail from Southampton, it did stop off in Plymouth before heading to North America. Many of the pilgrims who made the journey were also from Boston in Lincolnshire originally, and they stopped off in the Netherlands for a bit before coming back to England to set sail again to America.
Always love the vlogs and historical information. Will have to buy poor Jane a bib for next time. Everyone will need new shoes by the time Jason is done walking you all around. HaHa. Oh, the ice creams looked yummy and for only 4 pounds each. As Josh is fond of saying. "its a BARGAIN". Be Safe and Be Well
Southhampton looked nice - reminded me a lot of Portsmouth - which I guess makes sense since it's not far from there (yes I had to look up where it was on a map :-)). I love how everywhere is just full of history. That mural was gorgeous. Love those ice creams looked incredible.
It's not ideal where that berth is but if you really want to see it, catch the uni-link bus to the National Oceanography Centre (as it gets you past that booth at dock gate 4 without showing a pass) and head to the cafe, you can see it out the window. The National Oceanography Centre is a pretty interesting place to visit itself although do watch the times as I guess most non-students are technically not supposed to be there and at a certain time, it's card access only.
Is there more than one football stadium in england? Lovely scenery also thoes sandwiches look amazing I love avacodo on my bacon sandwiches. I bet you guys had alot of fun seeing all thoes things. Are thoes brick older buildings all over the south part of England? Also when you said mayflower I was thinking to ship. Ha And what was the building diagonal. Of jason when you were in parking of the big ship?
We agree, always surreal seeing familiar places through the eyes of another. We need to get back to Southampton and make an updated video though. Any suggestions?
Not much of a connection between the two teams but the fans in Southampton also sing 'When the Saints go Marching In' in the stands. It's the song you'll hear most often at a Southampton FC game.
Lived there 6 years as a student, amazing place, great memories!
We like it. Such a walkable city with lots to see and lots going on and the great thing is you don’t even have to spend much money!

Great vlog as always. When you were talking about going to St Mary's stadium was that a rat that run across the path behind you?

To protect the back of the neck from the sun, I think.

I would NEVER make it over that bridge. I am very much scared of heights. I am a New Orleans Saints fan. U.S. football.
