Great info. I will say that the bolt at the bottom of shock is impossible to torque properly, there is no room. Probably best to remove the arm that as the spring, then torque

Great video but I would add, lift the assembly up a tad to align the bottom bolt on installation. It helps and is very frustating if you leave it down low.

So the bottom of my shock absorber that I got, the hole is slightly bigger than the OG shock, and has a little play, is that ok?

@TRQ: What is the torque spec for the top bolts?

I will say even though it basically doesn't matter that he uses locking pliers on the strut shaft that high up. You can get around that and it's mildly more comfortable to get a slim enough offset wrench and some pliers or adjustable wrench to put the strut onto the mounting bracket. Good video though. Bless

Hello! Is this also the same for a 2014 VW Jetta?

No. Your car has a different lower mount for the rear shocks, but not much different. I don't recommend buying the rear shocks from this company. I just bought one pair for my 2013 car, and the lower mount is much narrower than the OEM part. I have to use some washers to fill the gap, or the mount will make clicking noise when driving. I have spent many hours working on that problem. So get OEM suspension parts for your car. But I am not saying that all parts sold by this company are junk. I bought a radiator before and it works well.

How can you tell your shock absorber needs a change?
