I'm so glad that you post these videos of all of the attractions you've done! This one is one of the coolest- I loved Phantom Theater from Kings Island. I hope that it will return somewhere someday!
@angeloflifelight it was a ride in an amusement park called Kings Island in Mason, Ohio, but it was later changed (as in almost everything removed and replaced with Sally Corp brand Cardboard Cutouts to become Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle) then Sally Corp later added some much needed animatronics and CGI bits to the ride and replacing Scooby Doo characters with generic ones that they thought up to turn it into Boo Blasters on Boo Hill.
with some help with a couple of partners your creations can be really awesome and fun (this is scary but unlike other places this is kind of kooky i like that :-))
You had me going with the title saying " Haunted Castle ". I would love to see some on-ride video of the now gone, Haunted Castle from that small park called Magic World that was at Pigeon-Forge, TN. They also had a Haunted Castle ride, along with an Aladdin / Magic Carpet-type ride that hung from a track, making it look like it was high in the air, when it was only inches from the floor. Somebody out there has video of these Magic World rides, just gotta. lol :)
I rode this ride two times during the summer and I found it to be an AMAZING (Up to and possibly beyond Disney.) and CRAZY dark ride, If only the cars moved slower, It would have been a bit better, But anyway great job Sally Corporation!
@smartguest Thanks! We like kooky, too...and scary! Wait'll you see our new "Scream in the Dark!" dark ride. The scare factor is taken up a few notches on that one...should have one open next year! -Sally
my first experience with your creations was North Pole Adventure in Happy Valley Shenzhen and the next one (you helped on this one) Challenge of Mondor at Enchanted Forest, Salem. they were both cool and fun.
Far from Disney quality, but it seems to be much better than a very large majority of other "Haunted" darkrides at boardwalks and some stand-alone parks.
@booomms nope, they worked along with the company who did Phantom Theater at Kings Island and the music was one of their contributions to this project.
@booomms R&R Creative Amusement Devices, Inc. Provided the main concept for Phantom Theater while animatronics were done by some other company, Ironically, Sally Corp did the subsequent renovations to the ride into its present day form of Boo Blasters on Boo Hill and later R&R teams up with Sally Corp and they built this ride.
@angeloflifelight no, this is a completely different ride that is made by this ride company in conjunction with the same company that made Phantom Theater
live actors with target packs on them (they must wear laser protection eye wear) and the riders can shoot at them or possibly the actors can also shoot back at the targets on the vehicles which lowers points but the live actors will be disabled temporarily when hit.
To clarify, this is a advanced dark ride for a small boardwalk park and although the Animatronics may not be good as Disney, The detail level is CLOSE to that of Disney, which is what I mean, and I was aware of Cars Land and how amazing their Animatronics are, but that is Disney and this is a small park, so please evaluate comments before telling people to correct themselves.
That was fun. Just a bit puzzled by the cockney accents on the figures with the guillotine. Obviously they need to be understood but wouldn't a French accent at least make sense?
@SallyCorp great it looks like a classic shooter with a new element SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOU CAN! Yup, Screaming would be effective if something scary was nearby the screaming zone.
I don't like people bashing the Santa Cruz Boardwalks rides, after all the boardwalk itself is a historic landmark and my home park and the Boardwalk doesn't have as big of a budget vs corporate big parks like disneyland I like all haunted mansion, castle, or house rides for what they are
Zachary Yamashita I'm not bashing it. Trust me, if I was bashing it, I would do much worse.I'm just giving my thoughts on it, and I just think that it looks a bit silly. It's not that bad, just not scary.
Have you seen the new rides at carsland? and all the other new rides? the animatronics in them are WAY better than this don't go judging stuff if there is more to come
MASSIVE improvement over the old version, guys...well done! My only 'complaint' is that each scene suffers from poor/over lighting...not creepy at all, too well lit...more dramatic/blues/greens would make it very ghostly and nightmarish...but overall, a great upgrade!
I don’t remember the old version very well. I was born in ‘92 but all I remember about it was it was very dark, bumpy, and there was something about a mad scientist being electrocuted. Do you remember anything about it?
Alot of the designs look pretty darned badass! We need more Haunted Castles like this, one for each major metropolitan area at least!

wow great job I was at the grand opening and it was sooo worth the waite I love all the new props you guys put in this ride great job very good ride
Thanks! We loved working on it with the R&R Design team.
very cool... the music right at the end sounded a lot like the tales from the crypt theme :)
I miss the oldschool Haunted Castle. It was less cartoony. More gory. And it never needed an explanation.

A few more and you'll be a Sally Corp dark ride extraordinaire!
''More dressing?''
Love that xD
Love this ride
Guard: "It's too late to..."
Me: "Apologize?"
Guard: "...turn back now"
Me:"Kill joy...

not too bad with some of the special effects!
2:07 Achmed: More dressing?
@booomms nope, they worked along with the company who did Phantom Theater at Kings Island and the music was one of their contributions to this project.
Glad you liked the ride! Have you experienced any of Sally Corp.'s other attractions?
What’s the haunted castles interior music name is

I see alot of people recognize the phantom theater music at the end, so I must ask, did you guys work on that ride also?
live actors with target packs on them (they must wear laser protection eye wear) and the riders can shoot at them or possibly the actors can also shoot back at the targets on the vehicles which lowers points but the live actors will be disabled temporarily when hit.
they be lauching, until they don't waijegjegeogkeg
ok sry but the king head @ the start made me think of Buger King... LOL!!! XD
the music near the end is also in King's Island's ride 'The Phantom Theater".

Looks like haunted mansion
wow i like the king hes amazing yet scary at the same time :)
@SallyCorp great it looks like a classic shooter with a new element SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOU CAN!
Yup, Screaming would be effective if something scary was nearby the screaming zone.
2:40 Look! There's a Velociraptor in the Swampy Place in the Haunted Castle!
The video has music from the old Phantom's theatre ride at Kings Island, how funny.
it kind of me remined of a railshooter videogame, also I wonder if some of yours are the ones they sell online.
@smartguest So do you know what company did phantom theater?
This looks cool, but sorry to say it really isn't creepy. It's actually more silly, it looks as if it belongs in Disney's Haunted Mansion tbh.
Not even. The effects aren't that good. Sally Corporation has definitely done better
Mike Fortier For sure.

Also I wasn't referring to advanced rides like that, I was referring to their rides like Buzz Lightyear, and Pooh.
That was creepy!
@smartguest Very interesting, thanks for the info.
Owweee I wanna go so bad!!!
when i went on this ride at the end it was kinda stuck and it would not get out for like a minute did that happen to any of you guys lol
does anybody know the music in the beginning from 0:01 to 0:06? It's awesome
i have the soundtrack of this ride
Idk.. someone sent me through email Steven Giacomi
what the story around this castle being haunted?
"more dressing?"lol.
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!
Can someone give me the sound effects of the cat meowing and the evil laughs?
I went on that ride
The music at the end sounds like the theme song from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera.
Or Echoes by Pink Floyd.
I ride one as Michael Myers
were is that.
@snowglobe82 prob recycled from the cave train ride.
2:58 PHANTOM THEATER??
time king
why is there a random dinosaur in there?
Have you seen the new rides at carsland? and all the other new rides? the animatronics in them are WAY better than this don't go judging stuff if there is more to come
It is so funny!
the original version was way much better in my opinion.
The king is funny
2:07 Achmed?
2:07
@dolbymandts wait a minute doesnt it sound like some ride in Mason Ohio
@canelaymorusa santa cruz cali
I dont get those horror rides. Looks like a Scooby Doo episode tbh...

That ride was horrible in my opinion
