An unexpected Elden Ring video appears. This is a safe way to defeat that horrific monstrosity with any class. Take this as a sign you need to start a new character. This was meant to be up last week, but I've been in the USA and the hotel internet has be awful, so I'm uploading it now in my jetlagged stupor.
One thing that makes this fight WAY easier is the Square off ash of war on your sword. The heavy square off attack (not sure if 1h is less, I 2h mine) does 40 stance damage, the Scion has 80 stance hp. You can land a heavy Square off at the very start, then the second should stance break him as long as it is not too long after the first, then enjoy the crits. Once you know the timing better you can use them as punishes and you’ll get Stacks of damage on the Scion
I'm new to Elden ring and the dark souls type games in general but I'm too determined to kill the grafted Scion to give up and honestly the only thing annoying to me currently isn't that I'm dying a lot. I expect that but that I have to go delete my character and redo it if I want to beat the boss because I'm too stubborn to give up. But I will kill it sooner or later
My biggest reason to have a cringe seizure is that you have to start a new game and create a new character each fckn time you die. No checkpoint, no save file, nothing. I genuinely don't mind the strong bosses because I love learning their strengths and weaknesses, but lack of the ability to save game is extremely inconvenient and is a very significant disadvantage of the game

Samurai with unsheathe on the Scion's jump attack is hilariously broken.

Try the long sword ash of war heavy attack and you can stance break him in 2 hits
thank you, i really wanted to so a faith run and this starter weapon helps out a lot
Late but the weapon art on the longsword staggers him in 2 hits if your quick with them. If lucky can end fight in few minutes.
Didn’t even take me 10 min. Great vid👍
The one I have problems beating him with is the Prophet. The spear is just not my thing. Samurai was easy though.

If you are at a safe distance and have taken damage once already use the memory of grace in your pouch, to retry
