Oliver Tams hey, it is a fantastic place you will love it. I did my diving with The Rocket Frog Divers at Playa Ocatal. Really great dive centre which I highly recommend. To dive the Bat Islands you would need your advanced open water PADI, but to do all the other dives I think all you need is your open water. As there are some great dives that aren't too deep.
Allan MacIntyre I'll be traveling with little experience but will have my open water certificate. Just a quick one, the dives I could possibly do with an open water what sort of marine would I expect to see in the region there. I had already looked at rocket frog so good to hear
Depending on how much travelling in Costa Rica you are doing I also recommend going down to Drake Bay and diving the Cano Islands. You will basically expect to see all the marine life in this video and much more! Except the bull sharks, as they are a more advanced Dive. Depending on what time of year you go you'll get to see more Turtles and possibly even Whales too!
