      then you will need to lift the keyboard (no need to disconnect), remove the screw for the dvd drive:

    Thanks alot brother,
    Referred your video to replace my laptop bottom cover.
    I do have some questions though,I have same lenovo ideapad 300-15isk, i see wifi antenna at mark 0:56 cable kinda removed there, is it always like that? when i opened my laptop, if found it same as in the video, prior to opening the cover, I had good wifi strength, now it shows less wifi strength.any fix for that?
    My mouse touch pad is not working now,keyboard and power button are working fine.need to replace mouse touch pad?
    and finally, after reassembly,the LED lights are not aligned properly. any tricks for that?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  4 года назад

      thank you for the feedback,
      #1. the wifi connectors they got loosen, grab the antena cables and snap them into the wifi connectors , and test the wifi strength, if the wifi bars are low interchange the connectors.
      #2. your touch pad has no issue, the problem is the bios setting, go to bios setting and look for touch-pad and change to standard if its set on advanced, and if its on standard then test it on advanced. its a common issue.
      #3. regarding the LED lights its not a big deal, but i need to see as many pics that you can provide. upload some to imgur.com/

      regarding your question: you can't fix it , you only have two options:
      #1. follow the video and @2:14 its were i disconnect the keyboard cable, you can remove the cable and not plug it in and leave it disconnected and buy a external usb keyboard.
      #2. at the back of your keyboard there is a part number , mine is Spanish keyboard so the part number is (5n20k13002), if you have English keyboard your part number is different. once you got your part number search on ebay they have it all.

    Hello...! I have Ideapad 300-14ISK that has 2 slots for RAM.
    Since last week, I randomly got these reddish horizontal lines on my screen, or the whole screen becomes reddish like the green color is missing. I am not sure how it is happened, because since the past few months my laptop is always on my desk, I did not bring it anywhere at all.
    The reddish horizontal lines comes very randomly. Even when I was just watching youtube or movie, I did not touch my laptop at all and the reddish horizontal lines appeared. Also if I try to press the sides of the screen, to close or open the screen, or use the keyboard I am unable to make the reddish horizontal lines to appear. So it's completely random.
    I have the Windows 10 updated, drivers for Intel and AMD VGA chipset updated too, but I still got the problem randomly. So I am thinking it is hardware related. The screen looks fine so maybe it is the display cable. In your video you showed the display cable one end is near the fan, but the other end was not shown.
    Would it be possible for you to create video on how to replace the display cable?

      my friend i get a lot of laptop with the same issue and let me tell you its NOT your monitor or you flex lcd cable. as you said you have the AMD VGA version that means your model has a gpu soldered on board.
      there for your problem is the GPU solder balls (100%),
      if you open up your laptop you will see the GPU chip here:
      imgur.com/a/VD9HKol
      and all you need to do if you want to do it your self, do the following steps:
      1 remove the motherboard remove the rams and the heat-sink,
      2. isolate the gpu using a aluminum tape (not needed but its for extra protection)
      how to isolate follow this videos @7:34
      ruclips.net/video/LPThmVu9-JM/видео.html
      there i show you how to isolate a gpu and then you want to heat the gpu in a room temperature plane (no air-condition or fan blowing )
      you need to heat it up for 5min with hair dryer or heatgun
      3. very very important to let it cool down for 10min by it self dont use fan to cool it or move it around.
      4 apply thermal paste and you are all set.
      good luck.

      @@uFixTek Hi, thanks for the reply. I just want to double check on this because reheating the GPU solder balls sounds risky as I have never done it before.
      My laptop has dual GPU chip onboard, namely Intel HD 520 and AMD Radeon M330. I have never played any games on this laptop, so I am under impression that Windows 10 only uses the Intel HD 520 GPU and the AMD Radeon GPU are pretty much unused.So I am wondering what could have caused the AMD GPU solder balls to become loose?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  4 года назад

      you only have one gpu and the HD is the built in your CPU, and when you have a GPU installed the intel HD premuch is not used.
      and you dont need to play game to over heat the GPU, the solder balls can dry and crack under normal use too, its not that risky, unless you keep using the way it is till when you turn on and the screen stays off then 0% risk.
      now i want you to do a "for sure test", find a tv or 2nd monitor and plug that in the hdmi or vga port and you should get the same result on the 2nd screen and if you dont then its not you GPU.

    • @dannorth3668
      @dannorth3668 4 года назад

      @@uFixTek I don't have another VGA monitor, I will need to buy an HDMI cable for TV first and then do the test.
      So by using a TV, I will know whether the flex display cable is faulty or not, yes? The HDMI and VGA port are directly soldered on the mainboard, so I guess the signal does not go through the cable.
      in the MacBook video, you did not cover the CPU with the tape. Why was that? I didn't catch your word.
      what is the proper distance and angle for using a hairdyer? I have only a small one.
      since you said not to use AC and fan, and not to move it around I presume the air flow might push the solder balls out of their intended places (then shorted it out)?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  4 года назад +1

      get an HDMI cable, and plug it in the hdmi is connected tot eh motherboard so if you get a good signal out to tv with no lines, then its your flex cable, but if you get the lines and stuff then 1000% its your GPU.
      and regarding the not taping the cpu is because there is no harm done if you heat up the cpu too, it helps the cpu solders too.
      your hair dryer must be set to max heat and it should be 1" in diameter, and you want to focuse it on top of the GPU directly with 1.5" of distance in 90 degrees angle.
      you want it to be in a room temperature (not a cold room) because you dont want to cool it down fast, else you will get a crack on solders, the reason of saying not move it after heating is because when is hot the board is flexible and it can cause a solder join break.
      therefor : 5-7min direct max set heat 1.5" distance and let it cool down for 5-10 min then remove the foil tape and test.
      if you feel like heating the cpu there is no harm done. remember external heat up to 270c is not bad for the BGA chips.
      the internal (working temps ) vs soldering the BGA temps are two different things. a BGA chip can handle up to 280c before it can burn,
      but in order to power on and work it needs to be under 99c .
      there for you can't damage a cpu without a heatsink if you at stock voltage, it will simply over heat and powers down.
