Pushing a horse out of a trailer backwards is about as smart as wearing your damn hat backwards! The horse bangs the front of his rear legs on the edge of the trailer. No wonder he has his ears pinned back and doesn't like your man. And the pointy part of a hat goes foreword. You look so rediculious that it's probably another reason your horse don't like you. They are smart you know!
Wow. Miserable much?
And I love that you hate us but keep watching our videos, thank you 😁
You ain’t cowboy if you can’t back a horse out of a trailer. The hats not backwards. Where are you from? Out west the hats are worn this way. You are probably a woman that don’t like men. That’s just something I think because of the way you said “your man.”
BR549 American you commented the horse don’t like the rider. The comment you wrote makes me think a lot of people probably don’t like you also.
In The sun is very hot and in your face. So a lot of Cowboy in that part of the country want the front of there hat a little wider.
In Kansas there is a lot of wind so most Cowboys wear a hat that is not too tall.
Montana Cowboy like a pointed crown in their hat. Because of snow and rain. The point helps shed the water a little better.
I once knew a man that said he could tell where a man was from just by looking at his hat.
As for as backing off a trailer...
I like for a horse to do both. So I switch up a lot. I don't want him to anticipate what I want him to do. I don't want him to try to pull me off the trailer. Or run backwards.
On a ranch in Arizona a horse will get his shins banged a lot on rocks. So bumping his leg as he backs off is no big deal. It is all about learning.
As Thanksgiving approaches, I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Navajo code talkers and their families for their remarkable contributions during WWII. Without them the outcome could have been very different.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Gotta love Navajos 💕🙏🏻
Me too! Thank you so much for being patriotic despite native Amercian treatment through the time in “your” country.
Henson's Mom is one of the World's best people. So, yeah, he's lucky to work for her.
She is real cool!
Please do share more of your Native culture.
Love the backlands of your ranch! Single-track terrain 😄 Trail systems made by animals 🐄🐎
I would love to hear about native american! History they don't teach.😃😃
Yes please!
Here is a great RUclips channel on Navajo Traditions you might like- I learn tons here too!!

When Henson said he works for his mom and that’s what he really enjoys about life, have we seen his mother on any videos? I’m never sure if he’s being literal or figurative he’s a character.
Thx for another great video🤠
I just remembered another question; I wanted to ask how many generations of family’s been workin your ranch?
She is camera shy… you can see snippets of her sometimes 😁
Henson is the man! To know he loves ridiculousness is awesome!
Haha! When we go out of town… and have cable at the hotel… that’s the only thing we watch 😂
I almost cut that part out, good thing I left it , lol
I bought a grey TB that was never taught how to back out of a trailer. I have a slant load, no choice, can't turn around. Hats off to a real trainer.

Moms are the best. Mine is dying almost 97 years old. Started morphine today. She’s aware of everything and knows everybody. 48 grand, great grand, and 10 are great great grand children. All but 2have been here and talked with her before the pain. How blessed I am. God is good.
Sounds like your mother has lived a wonderful life and blessed with a large family. God bless her 🙏
Love y'all ... but goshdangit ... Lincoln is one cool dude!
Liven the Dream Workn for my Mom being a Cowboy. Great Job in my eye also. Grew up on a Farm until age 12. Never wanted to move. But my Father got hurt and was unable to work Farm and Grandfather couldn't do alone. Sad but 2/3 Farm is still in Family. That's all that counts. Love Your Channel. Liven The Life I agree. Peace from WV
Just gotta say, having grown up riding cattle, I really respect your treatment of both your horses and your cattle! Some of these people who put stress on both and put it out there to watch would never be allowed to handle cattle on my families ranches. Thank you!
Gracias eso es lo que más me gusta sus programas los felicito
Love watching your channel and the horses etc..........I always wanted a horse as a youngster and living in the city wasn't a wish to have I guess. LOL You have some beautiful horses and I love to get the lessons on how you train them.........amazing animals and you that have the love and talent to care for them is truly amazing and wonderful. Awesome job to do something you love doing and are talented at.
Blessings
Another great video! Thank you, and I wish you and your lovely family a great Thanksgiving!

Another good one. Made a great relaxing time. Thank you again!
Thanks Iris!
I saw Bilson on the fence. Haha. I'm towering house and salt...
🤣
Having a video on the Clans would be great. Lincoln must think he is a cow dog because he does a great job herding. Over 16K of subscribers is great and you have good content. Thanks
Painted desert ranch has some well manners studs. You couldn't haul a lot of studs with mares like you do. Wishing all at your ranch a great Thanksgiving!
Another great video! Love to you and Henson working together.
Its a great life
I live on an island in southeast Alaska,, the natives here (all over Alaska),, are many different clans ..
AWESOME Video, Thanks for taking us along.
What an Awesome Dog.
Do you have any puppies from Lincoln?
No I dont
I promise everyone. The next time I vote I swear I'm writing in Henson for president. He's all calm, talks real, and he does something our own president doesn't even do. Henson talks to you. Not at you. Everyone join me.
Haha, love it!! That’s why I married him, so genuine 🥰
Hey, this ist Wally Martini from Germany.i Love your Channel.
And beautiful Danielle and your soft husband Henson.
The American Trailer For horses is much better than the German Trailer, because they are Not so high, so its Not a Problem to load a horse.wonderful!
In Germany there are a trailer with a ramp and now the Problem beginns, because some horses are scared( or do not
Know ,how to react)
I Love u and your Channel
I am 67 and enjoy your Videos.
Best wishes to you and your Family.🍀🌼👍👍🍀

It's very important to train your horse to stand for mounting. I once had a horse in to evaluate for selling. He was extremely nervous because of some past mistreatment and no one had ever taught him to stand for mounting. I was working on that one day and had put my left foot in the stirrup with my right foot still on the ground trying to calm him before I swung up all the way. He took one very big step and pinned my right foot on the ground with his left back hoof! It ended up snapping two of the toes in that foot which still bothers me 30 years later. Oh ya, I ended up buying that horse myself. He was a decent barrel and heeling horse and the folks that bought him used him as a hazing horse. I finally gave up trying to get him to stand. 🤷
Wow. Ruff trot going to number 2 right? And that’s a good cow dog to stay with you !!!! Love your life !!
I realy like your Videos. Riding on such a nice Land, is on of my Dreams.
Maybe one Day it would be true :D.
Greetings from Germany
Danielle, my wife and I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you for sharing your families ranch life with everyone. Ranching has been in my family growing up. God bless from Texas!
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching 🙏🏼😁

#BESTWIFE
#THANKFULHUSBAND
I'm a little behind in time,
But thanks for taking me along...
Question…..how many acres are in Painted Desert Ranch?
Dibs is partial to "Fiji" water..🤣😂🤣😂
Evian spelled backwards....NAIVE!!!
thanks for the ride...you can tell by now that I miss it ! Zarr seems real smooth..your camera does not even wabble on him.
I have to laugh, my daughter said if you don't get on this bus it will leave without you. Her horse was almost in a lope before getting on. Not me. I make them stand still and wait till they sighed.
Awesome!!! I'm so excited for my "probably not so fiery" redhead! 🤣 I couldn't even do that on Sky. Thank you guys!!!
You’re welcome! Thanks for sending her to us, she’s been a pleasure. Lots of go for sure!
What a life! ❤
Thanks again for sharing it with us!
Lincoln top ranch dog
I'm so sorry I have lost some its hard
Question , why do you call them sorrel , the horse looks to me that it is a chestnut ??? , i am irish so trying to learn new things as i hav ridding all my life and just trying to absorb new things
Sorrel is more red, chestnut is more brown/really deep red to us
Seems as if you are constantly moving cattle, Is the purpose of that just for better grazing?
Yes, rotating pastures is good for the vegetation/land. We get the herd effect then let it rest for a period then rotate back through.
My Horse has always started walking before I am ready to go. I need to take time to work him to not walk u til I tell him to. Thanks for the lesson. Another thing, my saddle aways wants to roll on me when mounting. How tight should my girth be? Thanks. Love your channel.
We usually tighten, lead them a few steps, tighten again, then tighten right before mounting. They should be pretty tight.
@@PaintedDesertRanch Thanks for your quick reply. Will tighten more.
I have my horses back out of the trailer or I have them come out facing the front. This is good for the horses to know. It's like getting on and off the horse on the near side and far side. You never know when one side is needed more then the other side. I liked coming with on the cattle drive to get the remaining cattle into the corral. Lincoln is a neat cattle dog. Knows his job thoroughly.
As a cowboy glad to see the west isn't dead yet.henson your a lucky man many ranches had to shut down because off the economy
Really enjoyed the video.
Bună ziua Denille

@@PaintedDesertRanch It's Natural and Local 😂

Love these people. Real horseman! Real cowboys! Henson is the real deal….keep it up cowboy
My husband loves watching your videos. He said your husband is quite a hand. Thank you for sharing your life
🙌🏼
I have been meaning to ask, " what day is the livestock auction over by Holbrook?" Appericiate the info.
Wednesdays
@@PaintedDesertRanch Thanks
We visited the Hopi reservation many years ago. They spoke of the Navajo as the new kids on the block. Probably thinking in thousands of years. It was all cool.
Question: what does "coockymonster" (=Henson) wears in winter...😳??? Never less...here is, as promised, the report of the "weekend-date", according to the :"stick/rope/henson - method" we learned about last week...(remember??)
...once arrived at the 'crime scene' I realised I left my stick on the bus...(dang...🙄) but...no panic...still got the rope!!😃 After about 72 attempts, I managed to rope somebody...but...I roped her mother😳😩?!?!?!...(my roping skils have not been finetuned yet 🙄) It ended up in calling 911😟 and I decided to leave in peace...I think I will buy a new stick first, keep practising roping, and figuring out what Henson just meant...🤔🤨😳????
(🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍👋🇧🇪)
😂
Do you all work for mom or dad
The Painted Desert Ranch belongs to Henson’s parents, Jerry and Nancy
Very nice ride! Thank you for sharing everything..love to see you 😊🤗🧡
Have à good day !
I love the Blue Roan, that face is gorgeous. Lincoln is my hero as always. I can only dream of that lifestyle so I truly appreciate you sharing your world. Thanks
Oh. Well that seems pretty straight forward (regarding mounting and walking off). Do you think maybe sometime you might get some vid of a horse that hasn't learned it yet? I'd watch it straight through if you did. :)
I can always tell when you are riding Czar, Danielle. I drink tap water too, here in NE Pennsylvania it's delicious. Henson.
Love Hensen's leggins, did you or him make them?
He makes them
@@PaintedDesertRanch those are nice, I'm looking for something real similar to those
You can buy these 😁
@@PaintedDesertRanch what's the cost? You can message me here or on Instagram under the same name.. The wife is always looking for Christmas ideas..😉😉

How many hands is Bree?
I’m not sure
Danielle I so enjoyed the video today I always look forward for the next one one day I hope to meet you and your family and to purchase a horse from you for my daughter it's on my bucket list thank you again for a great video
Lekker man lekker
What do you guys get to start a colt
Message us on FB or at the merch store, links are in the description
My grandma...... yaateeh shi'masani
Do you take older horses to restart?she's been ridden but been a few months and she bucked a little when I rode her. I'm getting her settled and desensitized. When I first got on she walked on a loose rein and when I asked her to trot. I know now I should have kept her head turned and I could have got her back in control. The people I bought her from had video of them riding and loping circles. I might have just scared her since she'd just had her teeth floated and was a little out of it. I just don't want to send her to the wrong person and make her more scared
No we don’t sorry
Great video. Thanks I got to come along.
I love you videos and your lifestyle. How is one to purchase a colt or filly from you guys if I don’t have Facebook??
Go to painteddesertranch.us and email us there
I enjoy watching your videos, Henson is so good with explaining his training methods, even this non horse person can understand. what is a dirt tank? Did you make it or is it a natural lake?? Enjoy your day
Dirt tanks are man made, & thank you!!
Could you guys make a video about making your horse want to come to you? My biggest problem with my horse is that I can’t catch her easily in a big pasture.
Sounds like a good idea
Am I the only one that seen the dog limping
Read the other comments… there are bull heads all over the ranch 🤦🏻♀️
They’re stickers that get stuck in his paws if you don’t know what bullheads are
Another awesome video and some beautiful horses. That Lincoln is a cow dog for sure. Maybe you need to get your own dog. Take care, Al
Maybe a female one 🤔 lol
That Buckskin is gorgeous!!!!
Thank you. He’s a stallion and he’s super nice 😁
I love how you call a 'dam' a dirt tank :)
Please advise the approx cost of one of your ranch raised horses. I would 💕 to own one.
What age?
Just curios, how many acres do you ranch on? do you own or is it reservation? or maybe a combination of both??
No reservation. Jerry can answer as to how many acres… if he would like.
amazing horse training
Cherish your momma,, I miss mine..
