The book claimed that the other people who were there heard the apostles speaking in their own native tongues. How come what christians do today sound like jibberish?

You just read out of the book of Acts chapter 2 and verse 4 and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and begin to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance every first time filling of the Holy Ghost in the book of Acts was done with the signs of speaking in tongues. Tongues is the initial sign that one has been filled with the Holy Ghost. In the book of Acts chapter 19 Paul asked them have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed which they have not received the Holy Ghost yet until verse 6 when Paul laid his hands on them and the Holy Ghost came on them and they speak with tongues. Tongues are the initial sign because I have experienced it. Now they are the fruits of the spirit which is not the initial sign because we all know fruit does not grow overnight fruit takes time to grow. For the fruit of the spirit is goodness and righteousness and Truth, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, Faith, meekness, temperance. For a preacher to stand up and bash Pentecostals because they follow every word in the Bible does not show the fruit of the Spirit

Acts 10 at Cornelius house the same thing occurs on the speaking of tongues and I agree these are not the same gifts of tongues in Corinthians and Romans...shouting (TRADITION) is not an indication of the presence of the Holy Ghost only but can be depending on how the individual moved by the spirit .... I agree with you on that point. But I believe it that to speak in tongues is apart ...everyone responds in the same LANGUAGES

Well, you still cannot deny the fact that the early disciples still spoke in tongues in Acts 2, whether you understand it or not it's the Spirit that gave the utterance. How about Cornelius and his household, the first Gentile converts? How do they knew that they received the Holy Ghost? You read Acts 10:44-46 - FOR THEY HEARD THEM SPEAK IN TONGUES and magnify God. Even a certain disciple of John the Baptist in Ephesus spoke in tongues when they received the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:6). Is it forbidden in the Bible to speak in tongues when you receive the Holy Spirit when it is the Lord who gives the utterance? No, in fact, Paul said not to forbid the speaking in tongues (1 Cor 14:9). Because you said you do not embrace nor condone ALL of workings of the Holy Spirit, that's why you asked somebody to leave the baptist church because she prayed in tongues, because it is divisive in YOUR doctrine of the Holy Spirit, but that is what in the Bible, when you speak in tongues you are speaking to God and not men. We ought to obey what is in the Bible rather than YOUR own doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
Do any one know when did the Baptist faith of John came together under Christ for sent his disciples to see if Jesus was the one he talk about to come after him . John was in jail .. John was in jail because of a adulture woman who said she wanted John head from a wish from a king that was cheating on his wife with .Some use wishes as the devil has given Jesus. Jesus told the devil do not temp thy God.(do not test him on sending his rath on you and a nation of sinners)
A lot of good in here. I would double check your Jewish knowledge. I’m not sure your claim about 120 people to have a synagogue is accurate. In fact synagogues we’re not even formal houses of worship in Jesus’s time.
When I hear people speaking in tongues all I hear is jibberish. There's no actual language being spoken. Nobody understands nada in their own native language. According to this passage, these preachers/people catching this holy ghost should be multi-lingual when speaking in tongues. So we need translation of the jibberish that christians speak in church? So okay, another point I'd like to make, when christians go evangelizing overseas, they should not need a translator because the holy spirit has already prepared them so that the people they are evangelizing to should understand them in their own native tongues.
Ps Howard Shalom in J E S U S ❤ JESUS Ascension was witnessed by the Eleven Galileans at Mt Olive. At PENTECOST, those that were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in Tongues were the Original Eleven Galileans plus Matthias - for Ministry and Apostleship for that Inaugural PENTECOST DAY. At that Inaugural Day of PENTECOST, they that were gathered in one accord, in one place alluded to the First Apostolic Band of Twelve. Every new born Christian in the new Testament Church spoke in tongues and every new born Christian was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins in Acts chapter 4 The Bible says there is no other name where by we must be saved. Apologies if I wasn’t clear. I was agreeing with you. The scripture I posted was in response to the video. I’m astounded that people continue to say “Amen” to preachers who misrepresent the kingdom. This is an example of a stumbling block - not entering and blocking others from entering. Yes my Bro, I read the word and God reveals truth. Acts 10 at Cornelius house the same thing occurs on the speaking of tongues and I agree these are not the same gifts of tongues in Corinthians and Romans...shouting (TRADITION) is not an indication of the presence of the Holy Ghost only but can be depending on how the individual moved by the spirit .... I agree with you on that point. But I believe it that to speak in tongues is apart ...everyone responds in the same LANGUAGES

Well, you still cannot deny the fact that the early disciples still spoke in tongues in Acts 2, whether you understand it or not it's the Spirit that gave the utterance. How about Cornelius and his household, the first Gentile converts? How do they knew that they received the Holy Ghost? You read Acts 10:44-46 - FOR THEY HEARD THEM SPEAK IN TONGUES and magnify God.
Even a certain disciple of John the Baptist in Ephesus spoke in tongues when they received the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:6).
Is it forbidden in the Bible to speak in tongues when you receive the Holy Spirit when it is the Lord who gives the utterance? No, in fact, Paul said not to forbid the speaking in tongues (1 Cor 14:9). Because you said you do not embrace nor condone ALL of workings of the Holy Spirit, that's why you asked somebody to leave the baptist church because she prayed in tongues, because it is divisive in YOUR doctrine of the Holy Spirit, but that is what in the Bible, when you speak in tongues you are speaking to God and not men. We ought to obey what is in the Bible rather than YOUR own doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
Do any one know when did the Baptist faith of John came together under Christ for sent his disciples to see if Jesus was the one he talk about to come after him . John was in jail .. A lot of good in here. I would double check your Jewish knowledge. I’m not sure your claim about 120 people to have a synagogue is accurate. In fact synagogues we’re not even formal houses of worship in Jesus’s time.
When I hear people speaking in tongues all I hear is jibberish. There's no actual language being spoken. Nobody understands nada in their own native language. According to this passage, these preachers/people catching this holy ghost should be multi-lingual when speaking in tongues. So we need translation of the jibberish that christians speak in church?
So okay, another point I'd like to make, when christians go evangelizing overseas, they should not need a translator because the holy spirit has already prepared them so that the people they are evangelizing to should understand them in their own native tongues.
