Man this game is getting A LOT of hate. Personally, I love it. I've been grinding away. I love the new drone enemies and the futuristic architecture. The world feels much bigger than in Wildlands and I think not being able to request a helicopter all the time is a big contributor to that. I'm not a fan of the player hub in the game though. Seeing a bunch of Ghosts running around is somewhat immersion breaking, but you can avoid going there for the most part unless you have an objective there.
I enjoy it as well, havent had any of the glitches yet, grinding my butt off no micro transactions no store bought goods. Just beating up the bad guys and grinding side mission and (loot boxes across map) im now 123 gear score

Haters are gonna hate. This game is not for everyone just like any other, but people saying it’s loot and shoot are missing the point. You can play the game how you wanna play it and if the HUD is off you probably walk past a lot of loot without even knowing. Not exactly intrusive then ! I’m not a fan of UBI ethics but I love open world shooters, I loved Wildlands, and I am loving this, so far.
I did this in fallout4 all the time, I think its fun in this game as well. Go out into the world with nothing but a knife or pistol and you cant equip anything but what you find along the way to some destination on the map. Also giving yourself other limitations or necessities for the trip to be successful.

I'm enjoying the game more than I did wildlands so far. I understand the hate for the MTX and the store, but the game is really good and is getting unwarranted hate right now, these people complaining about the A.I not being challenging probably don't play higher than regular difficulty. True, I'm still getting used to the game, but I get melted on hard difficulty if spotted by a base full of enemies.
@@Emanouche if you think good A.I = Buffing the fuck out of enemies making their damage ridiculous and health maxed out, then you're delusional. Good A.I is something like in HL2's combine, which actually has interesting tactics and actually interact with each other. MGSV only has two difficulties and the A.I's competent as you would think a Soviet soldier would be in the 80s.
Just be informed people. There are plenty of reviews out there that are not thrilled about the bugs and store that's in the game. Not to mention the pointless item score if every headshot is a kill.. I'll be waiting for the next ghost recon in Hope's they dont return to whatever they did to this game.
I like dumping two mags in the dudes chest with no armor on at 10 feet to kill them literally right at the beginning of the game and see Joe and of course they're going to return this formula every time they implemented RPG mechanics literally to milk people for $$
no operator in the world would do that unless absolutely needed, but is it wrong that in literally any gun based game i ever played i reload after 1 or two shots whether it be a mag of 5 or 200 XD

Once I fully get the hang of this game as there's a lot to it. I fully plan on going (mostly) No HUD and Extreme Difficulty. Already trying it and it's very testing. Can't wait 'til I get better at this game.
sRecollet It’s very testing when you clear half a base after 30-45min of meticulous movement and body hiding only to then get blasted in the face by an enemy rushing you with a KSG. Then all the enemies respawn and you gotta do it all over again.... sigh.
@@jonkR96 Oh man I hear ya. Shortly after my post I did goto extreme and no enemy HUD and wow. Doing side quest, factions missions and random battles and bases and numerous times have spent over an hour on one area dying like 10 -20 times. And I cant just give up or move on, I gotta beat it to get blueprint or weapon crates. Yea, frustrating the most when you make good progress and only have maybe so many enemies left in the area to just get blasted or make a reckless move or decision to get killed and start over. I dont even get mad. I sometimes laugh hysterically at myself mostly blaming myself. And I love it!
No health regen in ELITE TACTICAL difficulty. EXTREME is for enemy difficulty only, doesn't affect regen. Sounds like your tactical difficulty is set to rookie or confirmed.

How can you hate on someone who really likes the Metal Gear series? As far as I’m concerned, no game developer or story writers for games can ever even come close to the intricate detail and amount of thought that Kojima put into those games. And comparing Metal Gear to a rushed, pathetic excuse of a Ghost Recon game, MADE BY UBISOFT, is something that simply cannot be done..
@@michaelledger3677 thing is, this is a mostly single player game and i even had a buddy who has no desire to play single player take on people with 200+ gear score when he has like a 30 gear score. It doesn't matter what you pay for, it really only affects your single player experience which is fine with me.

I LOVE DayZ’s survival mechanics. I feel like that added here would be perfect. But once I began playing... I tried this for full immersion and I am glad I did
DayZs survival machanics turned down a lil bit yeah. I want survival elements not a full on survival game. As it is now though I haven't had much trouble with game because the AI is retarded at the best of times.
Evolver had I had known I’d have tried this on Wildlands as well cause I really loved wild lands. I just wish Breakpoint was a finished game with smarter AI and lack of repetition.
2 QUESTIONS... 1. When you're playing extreme difficulty do those super predator drones spot you a lot quicker? 2. In extreme difficulty are you still able to sneak up behind people and stab them?
That Archer reference alone made me hit that subscribe lol. Now, this game is just awesome. I hope future updates make it as good as Wildlands after the many many of updates it got.
I like to go in guns blazing just because I enjoy the fire fights. Unless its a mission that requires stealth of course. It'll be even better with no HUD. Its also fun to stick a few bombs in key spots then sneak out and enjoy the show from a far. I have a twisted mind when it comes to this type of game.
@@TheAgentAssassin Already done. Played some last night. Only thing I had on was the marker telling you where to go and I barely followed that. Game is pretty unforgiving if you screw up.
This is how I play Wildlands, but the problem with Breakpoint is the loot. The game heavily relies on collecting loot, but locating loot without markers leaves a lot of loot unfound unless you already know where it is. I turn off as much as possible though, it's just this game isn't made for it. Also, so many graphical issues and the AI is awful, irregardless of the difficulty.
@@nickly1032 just to clarify, I play on extreme as well. And yes they will detect and kill you quickly. The problem is the AI is programmed bad. I dropped 8 enemies in the same spot because every time I killed one, another ran to that same spot for cover. I landed a helo next to an enemy squad in an open field and they didn't respond. If you shoot their vehicles during a chase they stop the vehicle and get out to investigate. And the dialogue from them is horrible.
Ali Pride Gaming you know I wish every game took notes from the last of us. The intelligence of the AI in that is impeccable. If that were the case in this game, annnnnnnnd you could climb; I would’ve been immediately sold on it. Buuuuuuut the AI is absolutely retarded in here.
Extreme mode is easy the only difference is that the get realistic guns while your still stuck with pop guns. The AI is retarded and can easily be funneled through a door resulting in a pile of dead bodies. In wildlands what I do is a suppressed primary/pistol and a non suppressed secondary(put a comp or something so I cant put suppressor on). I always enjoy when a game is punishing I'm definitely going to change the setting to how you play it. Another thing I thought the leveling system was going to be stupid but I'm actually liking how it's in corporated. It makes me think more about engagements and makes the headshots all that more important. It forces me (if I want to succeed at a firefight with them) to be patient and plan everything out before I drop one. I remembered playing the first ghost recon and it being punishing for the time. I think ghost recon is at it's best when its punishing and makes you think about combat and how to approach the situation.
To make it easier to hide body’s in the game shoot out the lights if you are inside a building or a checkpoint. Works fine as well as using bushes to hide them as well.
Yeah, I turn off enemy markers, enemy minimap markers, detection clouds, detection arrows and friendly markers (the ones that tell you who is a civilian, not the teammate ones). My friends and I prefer to play that way so we have to determine who is an enemy and who isn't.
I love the game and can't wait for more content for it but the one thing I don't understand is how to get some of the items like weapon variants and some attachments I hope ubi makes finding these things easier in the future great video massive ill be sure to try this and things feel more real :)
What do you recommend as a good way to know when a drone plane is flying overhead? I like playing this way but thus far the drones are always marking me. I can hear the choppers coming but when the drones have marked me I did not hear them coming.....uggggh!
I saw VG247s review of this game and it was so halirously dumb. They gave it a 1 star. The funniest parts was when they complained about not having an interior map and having to collect Intel. I give this game a good 8 out of 10. I love the whole MGS 3 feel of solo infiltration, but I actually can't wait for A.I. teammates to make a return in a later update. Also nice Dutch voice at the begining. 😁
I play it just like you do but i just include the weapon ammo and the like on the bottom left because i forget what if i have grenades or not equipped but its a very fun game making it as grueling as this in realism.
Thing is. I tried the game again 2 days ago for the new quest and to kill Terminator. And being at max level (252 i believe) there is not one thing i can do now to keep me playing. And yes, i do play in Immersive mode, non guided etc. Done all the quests. Only thing to do now is to explore. When theres nothing to do, What do i do ingame?

There are so many little things that actually existed in Wildlands that I wish they kept and just added to in this game. The fact that you can't holster, you can't crawl backwards in prone, you can't shoot out lights at night, and several more things you can't do anymore just put a sour taste in my mouth about a game that I think has a lot of potential.
One thing you can do when you start the game is not select a secondary weapon and only have a primary and pistol. But if you select a secondary then you're screwed out of it.
I very much enjoyed your video here are some suggestions if you like to try. Try not to use the bandages (ever) or the syringes ( unless playing solo). Have a friend play as a medic and he can only heal with his medkit or he has to bring you to a bivouac for him to heal you or yourself. The way i play is i don't reload my gun until i am out of ammo in the magazine, i only use what i believe i can fit in my backpack ( small bag means less items i carry depending on my mission I set for myself), i do not use the drone (until i spent too much time looking for it), only use the binoculars to track movement of tangos, i use the certain perks ( only slim shadow, gunslinger, close and personal) everything else is crap because i am looking for realism and immersion in breakpoint. I also don't use rocket launcher, emp grenades, intel grenades, and level 2 consumables only level one ( and i use c4 and mines when i pick them up. I play with a lot of restrictions. thank you for keeping it real.
Been playing it for a week now. Pretty good. Upgrade, skill points, evading more drones than humans. I used to snipe a lot. I find myself doing a bit of both because well I get seen or heard. Practice.
I played the Beta (and Wildlands) no HUD extreme. Even in extreme the enemies are still pretty dumb and the injury system was pretty much non existent. Going no HUD has other issues - for example one of the side missions required me to interegate a soldier, but the only way you can tell who can be interegated is by turning the enemy markers back on :/ I also enjoy walking to objectives, but coming across two dudes standing around a broken motorbike or a truck every 50 meters got old quick - although I hear the full release there is at least a bit more variety. This game has a lot of potential, I like that the enemy don't aimbot you anymore and search for you, but overall the enemy AI needs to be improved & injury system needs to be more punishing (no full health regen) too. Will probably pick this game up in 6 months or so
They screwed it up. It had more injuries and the game was more realistic in the early technical tests. They listened to feedbacks given by players who never played Ghost Recon before.
The only problem with turning off everything like enemy markers is that sync shot stops working. At least this is what happened in WIldlands. I haven't tried it in Breakpoint yet but I will now that I'm curious. I play on Extreme and turn off most of the HUD already. Been doing that since Wildlands. Stealth/Survivor is the most fun for me. Love the CQC kills and take down's even though they can be cumbersome with excruciatingly long animations. Being able to carry off the dead bodies and hide them is reminiscent of MGS and Splinter Cell which I also love. One complaint about the AI that I have is that when things do go south for you, the AI tends to run and collect in unrealistic groups that make it easy for you to kill. They will also run in straight lines almost like they're stacking up. Makes it way too easy to kill them and really ruins all the effort I've made up to that point I mean cue Yakety Sax at that point.
The only thing I didn't like about extreme difficulty on wildlands is that a guy with a lmg could hip fire and hit you right away from 200 meters. Did they fix that.
That's why I love the first Ghost Recon (old old Ghost ). You had to be careful and patient. Use scope and planning and waiting after making noises to draw in and pick off patrols. I always quick saved alot before engaging in combat because I always wanted my team be 100% uninjured when completing missions. You also wanted that extra task done so you got the cool extra elite soldiers.
Problem with turning off hud is, some enemies have ( i ) over them which means you need to interrogate them for info. With no hud this is impossible to identify them. Also the clue system is clunky. Also with no hud it makes it hard for certain tech gear to work like sync shot drones
I think suppressors should break or like over heat. Bc it doesn't have any faults you can shoot a guy like 5 ft away and his teammate won't even hear it.
I wish you would have the option to drag a downed teammate or enemy and make it faster to move them instead of having to carry, but, consequently, be a little more noisy because friction. Would help a lot!
Funny you mention the "one primary" thing. In my game, I never equipped a second primary, So I'm rocking a sniper rifle and a pistol 99% of the time. The only time I'm not is when i swap the sniper for an smg in order to complete the challenges for the Panther class as I recently hit Rank 10 with sharpshooter. I'm the only one in the social hub with one gun on his back lol. So not only do I not use that second primary, I refuse to even let the temptation overcome me. Because if you equip a second primary, you can't get that space blank ever again, so the stain is permanent.
Brock Woods I was trying to do this and I accidentally equipped a secondary when trying to dismantle extra weapons and I never felt so ashamed of myself.. :/
You see....this game is a playground. It gives you the tools to immerse yourself and have a really good time. I'm having so much fun with this game. Some incredibly tense solo moments. It's amazing.

Even when played on EXTREME, the health regen is so aggressive you feel like Wolverine. It really kills any sense of Survival...

Never used one syringe, nor bandage. Been shot, been blown up, fallen down a cliff - and my zips back up to 100%.
Play with... no hud I guess? There are skills that make the game easy as well. Such as the one that reduces injuries.

Evolver had I had known I’d have tried this on Wildlands as well cause I really loved wild lands. I just wish Breakpoint was a finished game with smarter AI and lack of repetition.

1. When you're playing extreme difficulty do those super predator drones spot you a lot quicker?
2. In extreme difficulty are you still able to sneak up behind people and stab them?

I’ve noticed changing knifes can change the take downs style also different angles changes things as well
I like to go in guns blazing just because I enjoy the fire fights. Unless its a mission that requires stealth of course. It'll be even better with no HUD. Its also fun to stick a few bombs in key spots then sneak out and enjoy the show from a far. I have a twisted mind when it comes to this type of game.

This is how I play Wildlands, but the problem with Breakpoint is the loot. The game heavily relies on collecting loot, but locating loot without markers leaves a lot of loot unfound unless you already know where it is. I turn off as much as possible though, it's just this game isn't made for it. Also, so many graphical issues and the AI is awful, irregardless of the difficulty.
How is the AI awful?
@@nickly1032 just to clarify, I play on extreme as well. And yes they will detect and kill you quickly. The problem is the AI is programmed bad. I dropped 8 enemies in the same spot because every time I killed one, another ran to that same spot for cover. I landed a helo next to an enemy squad in an open field and they didn't respond. If you shoot their vehicles during a chase they stop the vehicle and get out to investigate. And the dialogue from them is horrible.

Extreme mode is easy the only difference is that the get realistic guns while your still stuck with pop guns. The AI is retarded and can easily be funneled through a door resulting in a pile of dead bodies. In wildlands what I do is a suppressed primary/pistol and a non suppressed secondary(put a comp or something so I cant put suppressor on). I always enjoy when a game is punishing I'm definitely going to change the setting to how you play it. Another thing I thought the leveling system was going to be stupid but I'm actually liking how it's in corporated. It makes me think more about engagements and makes the headshots all that more important. It forces me (if I want to succeed at a firefight with them) to be patient and plan everything out before I drop one. I remembered playing the first ghost recon and it being punishing for the time. I think ghost recon is at it's best when its punishing and makes you think about combat and how to approach the situation.

To make it easier to hide body’s in the game shoot out the lights if you are inside a building or a checkpoint. Works fine as well as using bushes to hide them as well.

Yeah, I turn off enemy markers, enemy minimap markers, detection clouds, detection arrows and friendly markers (the ones that tell you who is a civilian, not the teammate ones). My friends and I prefer to play that way so we have to determine who is an enemy and who isn't.

Great video. I'm loving this game, playing with no hud is great. best part of the game is exploring, I don't fast travel and rarely use vehicles.

What do you recommend as a good way to know when a drone plane is flying overhead? I like playing this way but thus far the drones are always marking me. I can hear the choppers coming but when the drones have marked me I did not hear them coming.....uggggh!
I saw VG247s review of this game and it was so halirously dumb. They gave it a 1 star. The funniest parts was when they complained about not having an interior map and having to collect Intel. I give this game a good 8 out of 10. I love the whole MGS 3 feel of solo infiltration, but I actually can't wait for A.I. teammates to make a return in a later update. Also nice Dutch voice at the begining. 😁

Thing is. I tried the game again 2 days ago for the new quest and to kill Terminator.
And being at max level (252 i believe) there is not one thing i can do now to keep me playing. And yes, i do play in Immersive mode, non guided etc. Done all the quests. Only thing to do now is to explore.

Kind of a dumb question. But how did you get the fabric look on your helmet. I can't find it at all in the customization
There are so many little things that actually existed in Wildlands that I wish they kept and just added to in this game. The fact that you can't holster, you can't crawl backwards in prone, you can't shoot out lights at night, and several more things you can't do anymore just put a sour taste in my mouth about a game that I think has a lot of potential.

One thing you can do when you start the game is not select a secondary weapon and only have a primary and pistol. But if you select a secondary then you're screwed out of it.

I very much enjoyed your video here are some suggestions if you like to try. Try not to use the bandages (ever) or the syringes ( unless playing solo). Have a friend play as a medic and he can only heal with his medkit or he has to bring you to a bivouac for him to heal you or yourself. The way i play is i don't reload my gun until i am out of ammo in the magazine, i only use what i believe i can fit in my backpack ( small bag means less items i carry depending on my mission I set for myself), i do not use the drone (until i spent too much time looking for it), only use the binoculars to track movement of tangos, i use the certain perks ( only slim shadow, gunslinger, close and personal) everything else is crap because i am looking for realism and immersion in breakpoint. I also don't use rocket launcher, emp grenades, intel grenades, and level 2 consumables only level one ( and i use c4 and mines when i pick them up. I play with a lot of restrictions. thank you for keeping it real.

Been playing it for a week now. Pretty good. Upgrade, skill points, evading more drones than humans. I used to snipe a lot. I find myself doing a bit of both because well I get seen or heard. Practice.

I played the Beta (and Wildlands) no HUD extreme. Even in extreme the enemies are still pretty dumb and the injury system was pretty much non existent.
Going no HUD has other issues - for example one of the side missions required me to interegate a soldier, but the only way you can tell who can be interegated is by turning the enemy markers back on :/
I also enjoy walking to objectives, but coming across two dudes standing around a broken motorbike or a truck every 50 meters got old quick - although I hear the full release there is at least a bit more variety.
This game has a lot of potential, I like that the enemy don't aimbot you anymore and search for you, but overall the enemy AI needs to be improved & injury system needs to be more punishing (no full health regen) too. Will probably pick this game up in 6 months or so
They screwed it up. It had more injuries and the game was more realistic in the early technical tests. They listened to feedbacks given by players who never played Ghost Recon before.

The only problem with turning off everything like enemy markers is that sync shot stops working. At least this is what happened in WIldlands. I haven't tried it in Breakpoint yet but I will now that I'm curious. I play on Extreme and turn off most of the HUD already. Been doing that since Wildlands. Stealth/Survivor is the most fun for me. Love the CQC kills and take down's even though they can be cumbersome with excruciatingly long animations. Being able to carry off the dead bodies and hide them is reminiscent of MGS and Splinter Cell which I also love. One complaint about the AI that I have is that when things do go south for you, the AI tends to run and collect in unrealistic groups that make it easy for you to kill. They will also run in straight lines almost like they're stacking up. Makes it way too easy to kill them and really ruins all the effort I've made up to that point I mean cue Yakety Sax at that point.

The only thing I didn't like about extreme difficulty on wildlands is that a guy with a lmg could hip fire and hit you right away from 200 meters. Did they fix that.

That's why I love the first Ghost Recon (old old Ghost ). You had to be careful and patient. Use scope and planning and waiting after making noises to draw in and pick off patrols. I always quick saved alot before engaging in combat because I always wanted my team be 100% uninjured when completing missions. You also wanted that extra task done so you got the cool extra elite soldiers.
Problem with turning off hud is, some enemies have ( i ) over them which means you need to interrogate them for info. With no hud this is impossible to identify them. Also the clue system is clunky. Also with no hud it makes it hard for certain tech gear to work like sync shot drones
I think suppressors should break or like over heat. Bc it doesn't have any faults you can shoot a guy like 5 ft away and his teammate won't even hear it.
I wish you would have the option to drag a downed teammate or enemy and make it faster to move them instead of having to carry, but, consequently, be a little more noisy because friction. Would help a lot!

Funny you mention the "one primary" thing. In my game, I never equipped a second primary, So I'm rocking a sniper rifle and a pistol 99% of the time. The only time I'm not is when i swap the sniper for an smg in order to complete the challenges for the Panther class as I recently hit Rank 10 with sharpshooter. I'm the only one in the social hub with one gun on his back lol. So not only do I not use that second primary, I refuse to even let the temptation overcome me. Because if you equip a second primary, you can't get that space blank ever again, so the stain is permanent.
Brock Woods I was trying to do this and I accidentally equipped a secondary when trying to dismantle extra weapons and I never felt so ashamed of myself.. :/
You see....this game is a playground. It gives you the tools to immerse yourself and have a really good time. I'm having so much fun with this game. Some incredibly tense solo moments. It's amazing.
