i was making music for myself. but then i decided to abandon everything i was planning to do and i started over again. not making music for myself but for the Lord. telling Him how much i loved Him and how much of a difference He made in my life
This is something i have been struggling with.. I love music so much, but no matter How good it sounds, if it doesn’t serve the Lord, it’s not good for me. And I always notice that I’m much closer to the Lord when I abstain from secular music and culture in general. All praises to the Most High!! HalleluYah!❤
Bro! I am so glad I came across this particular video! I have a whole testimony and history of how much music has been a huge area that the Lord has spoken to me about in a similar way to what you described. I particularly searched up Christians who listened to similar music like Coldplay and other bands that I used to as well. For me, I loved bands like Coldplay, Radiohead, Local Natives etc. It was a challenge to let them go for a few reasons. But, I am so glad to see someone else with a similar testimony of exactly where I feel the Lord has me. God is birthing out artists that have a particular sound that I believe will surpass alot of the secular artists that we know and loved at one point. The fact that you make music for the Lord with the different musical tastes that you mentioned, I'm excited to see what the Lord continues to have you put out! Thanks for sharing this testimony and encouragement, it is so needed!
this is facts. John 3:30. We must decrease for him to increase in our lives. He wont force himself on us (most of the time). We gotta put our free will to work to give him room in our lives and let him do the rest. Bless u bro
I’m not sure how I came across your channel, but this is the first video I watched. My wife and I let go of secular music, our kids only know worship music lol and we have limited shows we stream. If it doesn’t edify God and His word then it has no place in our lives. We were made to be and look different compared to the world. I will glorify Him in all things I do in my life. Don't know about your individual situation and really admire your dedication, but my parents did this to me when I was a kid and it only left me miserable and emotionally and culturally stunted. I think it should be every parent's obligation to not just show their children media which aligns with their own worldviews and experiences and hide them from anything else. For me that left me thinking that's all there was in the world and left me hopelessly unprepared for adult life. Besides, many albums, books and films that have nothing to do with any religion can be spiritually enlightening in their own way.

As a person that used to listen to only secular music and watch movies and shows with subtle messages completely against the gospel, yet the enemy was lying to me, telling me that those were just my favorite artist and actors and it was all just part of my aesthetic, I was deceived by the deceiver, but my God loves me so much, and had so much mercy that he never gave up on me, and now here I am, finally obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit inside of me, and let go what I needed to let go ❤️ I recommended it very much friends!
Worship music is terrible, and if Jesus loves us, he wouldn't subject us to the torture of Top-40, 3-chord Christian praise songs. I'm positive that Jesus is a fan of lyrical hip hop and punk rock. Prove me wrong.
Yes. But did you listen to J.S. Bach's church cantatas tho? I'm not even a lutheran, but I found most of his church cantatas (he's not perfect, also prone to traditions and church doctrines) are way more biblical than most modern worship songs.

Praise the Lord Jesus. He sent me free from secular music as well. Now I listen to worship music and Christian rap.
