How difficult this is. I first came into contact with spiritual teachings when I was 25 years old. I am now 34 and K has helped me realize that all I have done is playing mental tricks and moved very little, merely polishing the structure of my consciousness while the ego stays in charge. Or being unable to deal with what life throws at me there has been hope of something saving me and I have sought security in all kinds of pleasures.
There's only one thing. We are the truth. If you live with the truth, the world of thought will no longer stop you from doing the right thing. The right thing for you, for your fellow human beings in relationships, your animals and of course all living beings. When you bring order into your life, you are one with meditation. The word is not the thing. When you see clearly what needs to be done to establish order, then you are free from contradiction and therefore in meditation.
The word meditation has different definitions. K is trying to point out, perhaps not clearly enough, the difference between the practice of meditation which has an aim, and seeing and enquiring into your reactions in daily life. This clip doesn't provide enough, however. In other , more complete videos, K explains that you need to have an insight whereby you see that you are what you are observing. In that insight, is the ending of inner division.
I read a comment somewhere in some other video how JK attracts airplanes 😸 I wasn't expecting to hear one, the thought just came across my mind and there it was, I heard it... Of course, what JK says here is valuable but I wanted to mention this thought here....
When the desire, the will deliberately and consciously persues meditation --- the very act of persuance creates the idea of meditation, not necessarily related to 'what is'. This is the reason why all the gurus and meditation teachers lay emphasis on some techniques like breathing, awareness of body parts, closing eyes or repeating some prayers, etc (courtesy: RUclips videos). Rather childish and infantile stuff. But the actuality of meditation may begin at some unconscious depths of the human mind (not my mind) rather unknowingly. May be one is still the guinea pig. Is it ever possible for thought to realise its own limitation and coming to an end or not enter into an arena where it is a total outsider, an intruder. To put everything in its right place --- K often defined art as this. To put thought (knowledge/memory/image/desire) in its right place. So that thought doesn't meddle with sensation needlessly. Probably this is the greatest art, greater than the achievement of any artist/scientist. The artist and the scientist may end up with a partial insight, but meditation demands a total insight --- therefore a total responsibility and total freedom so that the action is always total. So that thought, with its fragmentary and limiting nature and structure dissolves easily, naturally and effortlessly. Here oneself is the guru and the pupil. To cleanse the consciousness of humanity and be a light to oneself and to the world. Basta.
How can you understand something not intellectually? He says understanding your reaction (not intellectually) is part of the meditation. What does it mead to understand something by heart?

Absolutely... Meditation must have place in daily life for self enquiry
One of the important question to be adressed for all of us
Great episode 🙏 Constant enquiry into reactions in daily life is meditation.
Well put

So watching my mental state is meditation? Not reacting to anything, but watching the mental content?
Where you do the meditation every sec is meditation while doing work with oneness.
