I can't see sending my retired husband all the way to the store to get my mascara either. He was probably happily working in his shop. It was just a ruse to get him out. He should have told her to get her own mascara. What a horrible, greedy woman. She didn't even ask his family if they wanted his stuff. I hope they catch her. I wish I was wealthy. I would offer a huge reward to help catch the killer.

She’s greedy, and she’s callous with the way she got rid of his things without even talking to his family. My theory is that she’s fucking the sheriff. Terri, I respectfully disagree Hon. He doesn't get some sort of injury that's lost quite a lot or blood and just randomly goes and commits suicide. Did no one see a 70yr old man bleeding and biking ? 🤷♀️ His phone went to that bridge but no sign of his body or the bike. This is what I feel like happened..the wife had Mike go buy her some mascara as part of a plan to have him leave the house. Then I feel like she had someone hide and wait inside Mike's work garage while he was at the store, knowing that once Mike got back from the store he would give her the mascara, and then he would return to his work garage because that is where he spent most of his time. I think once he got inside his work garage someone (2 men most likely)(I say 2 men because he was 6 ft 3 and 250 pounds and by how the blood drops were, you can tell he wasn't dragged after being attacked, but that he was most likely carried out by at least 2 men because his blood was dripping in a trail leading towards the door) they attacked him and beat him, and killed him or at least knocked him unconscious, and then they most likely loaded his body in a vehicle and one of them drove off the property to dispose of it. The other man probably rode off on Mike's bike and took his cell phone and threw it off the bridge. That was probably because they were someone he knew and he probably had phone or text contact with that person or persons and they didn't want the police or anyone else to see that Mike had been in contact with them leading up to his murder. By the sound of it the police probably haven't even checked Mike's phone record's. Sounds like they don't want to put in the work to get to the bottom of his "HOMICIDE" sounds like they just want to rule it suicide and be done with it smh. I DEFINITELY think his wife set it up!!

I agree !! I believe she hired someone to do it & she offered them pay, knowing she would get a settlement. I think it plays into her “story” she’s cheating on their 30 year marriage & he “found out” & took his life because he was upset about that .. Big becca wanted him gone for sure !!

Your theory seems pretty likely, except....... the phone records could easily be obtained, however - no way to know if the killers thought of that. They might not have figured that out. Either way, everything else makes sense.

Don't get me wrong, I don't ask for just that as I order mine anyway, but it's silly to think a loving husband wouldn't do it. Wives ask for all kinds of stuff. Real men don't care what they are picking up, they are just helping out.
It makes me cry when they say that he treat her like a princess. He loved her so much. Poor Michael. May he rest in peace. He is such a lovely man.
UPDATE 5/5/24:
The remains found on 11/30/22 have been positively identified as Michael Chambers.
Just an update for anyone still caring about this case. Yesterday, 11/30/22, human remains and a bicycle were found not too far from his home. It will take some time to identify the remains but a lot of people believe it is Mr. Chambers. The community is hoping for answers to come quickly so hopefully the family can begin to move on.

The remains were identified on December 5th as a man that disappeared back in 2005, Robin Dewaine Mangrum.
Update (1/22/2023): my local news source got the information wrong and never clarified. Robin Dewaine Mangrum’s remains were found near Houston and identified in September of 2022. The remains found in Rains County have yet to be identified.

So how did this kind of junk science become admissible? My brothers wife got rid of everything of his and completely replaced their furniture within the first 2 weeks after his unexpected death. It was crazy how she responded to his death. It was like she literally “erased” him from the home.
He was killed at the shop. Someone took his Phone, bike, and body in a car or van. Threw the phone in the water as they drove over the bridge. The wife and Sancho hired someone to kill him to get rid of him. The lowlife they hired took the bike for himself.

Except for the fact that whover had the phone spent 4 hours to travel 17 miles before tossing it off the bridge. They were not in a car unless they were Flintstoning it. 4.5mph is really slow for a bike. Its pretty easy to maintain 7 to 8 mph even for a casual rider. My guess is the person was jogging or riding a skateboard. Whoever is responsible had to be a big strong person to hide the body of a +6 foot man that weighed 250 pounds.

So, so sad. I’m sorry for your loss. A woman my dad married eight months after my mom passed married him solely to take everything my mom and dad worked their whole life for. The afternoon of their tenth wedding anniversary she went to HER doctor and had him fill out the form saying he needed constant care so she could get rid of him. She is so proud of herself it just breaks my heart and it sounds like your dad had the same thing happen to him. Prayers to you and your family.

I mean that by saying, if I were to commit suicide away from home and my body was never found, I know there are people in my family that would never give up looking and you couldn't dare come to them with that explanation, even if that were the truth.. a man in quinlan searching his land and might have just found his remains he posted it onto facebook yesterday. “My trip to the woods today turned into the unexpected. I had recently found an area that I previously thought was inaccessible due to swampy conditions making access almost impossible. However a couple of days ago I found a way in by crossing a small channel and then finding myself unexpectedly on high ground. Today I returned to explore the area more and to look for secondary old growth timber. I found some very large trees along an old barely discernable fence line and began to follow it westward. As I approached a swamp area flooded with water I noticed an old looking mountain bike partially hidden under the remains of a fallen and rotted tree. Shortly after finding the bike I found what appeared to be a human pelvis bone. I began finding more bones including what looked like a femur and possibly a shin bone. As I continued to circle and search the area I walked further out and then I saw it, a human skull. From there it turned into numerous phone calls to the Sabine River Authority and both the Rains county and Hunt county sherrifs office. Its looking very likely that this may be the remains of a retired firefighter missing from Quinlan five years ago. They last tracked his cell phone across the two mile bridge headed east at 3 mph and believe he was on a bike. If the remains that were recently discovered in an undisclosed area nowhere near the area they claimed he took his life end up being him, let's see how the detectives and sheriff explain this one.
How big and deep is that damn lake? If he did indeed jump off that bridge and threw the bike over with him, the bike at least would be right there at the bottom, and his body, if it wasn't heavily weighted down would've washed up by now.
Did he have a recently purchased, large life insurance policy by any chance?

Pawpaw never left that garage alive in my book! I ask myself these questions. Who had a motive to kill him? Who stood to gain the most from his death! Follow the money! Becca had the motive and stood to gain the most! I wouldn’t put her lover past killing pawpaw! Other questions I have who is the lover ,what is his name and is he related to anyone at the sheriffs office? I believe that the sheriffs office is covering up for someone! I wouldn’t trust that sheriffs department to investigate my animals! That Becca has the face of a snake 🐍! I hope pawpaws children gets the justice they and him deserve!
The guy was a fire fighter, he didn't have any money. They said his entire estate was worth only $300k. And she could have divorced him to get at that.

One would think there has to be some more surveillance video footage along the 17 mile route of the cell phone ping from businesses and homes on that path. Was the palm print on the yellow bar checked for matches against known criminals? The blood drops look like he was carried off. All the drops are the same size with equal spacing between them...he was carried off. Hopefully, the PI has created a complete list of the wife's beaus who may be potential suspects.
So he was obviously stabbed with something in his shop and then decides to ride his bike 17 miles and then decides to jump off the bridge? So the police confirmed the bike ride by following the blood trail, right?
Sadly, he was killed for his assets and his pension. Two or more people had to be present at his shop...

Someone could have took him some form of way of a hostage situation. Even though nothing was stolen it could have been either some sort of elderly effect but Blood was found.
Most people don't leave a suicide note when they kill themselves but I agree that this dude was murdered.

He's buried in the woods close to his workshop & the person who did it took his phone & bike rode to the bridge threw the phone over the side then kept on riding and eventually ditched the bike somewhere. Whoever did it usually rides a bike around town so it wasn't out of the ordinary to see them on a bike.

No way this was a suicide. What’s really weird is how the blood had dropped onto the floor in those almost perfect circles. You would think that wherever in the shop the injury was first sustained there would be more blood, then the drops as they were carrying the body out.

With all those blood inside the garage floor. Maybe he was attacked inside his garage. Somebody left his car but took his bicycle and him away with another car. Don’t make sense at all that he killed himself. Who were those stupid cops.
This is BS. The wife wanted him gone, with her 3 affairs, It was too much to handle. That Sheriff is just thinking about donuts, that’s why he’s not putting in work to solve this case. What a joke.
