Some of the fastest cars in the world are V8s So how can you say they're slow? I agree a straight 6 It is a great power plant to start with and they get fast as hell. I have a 2J turbo setup in my Lexus IS300 and it moves. That's just with simple mods. The car is so small and light too that helps. But you can't say that American v8s are slow that's just not true. If they're built right with the right parts with the right suspension so it can put the power down they're quick very quick.

That Cutlass was fast AF for a nitrous SBC set up! Little bit more grip and maybe some mods so he can rely on more than just the bottle and he's set.
