Thanks for sharing this Lance. I am sure you will remember these names - Gambi George - went to Sweden, Manna George - joined the Latin Kings, Kadras John - sax - played in Club Lotus, Tony Harris and the Blue Ricks, Eddie Samuels and the Intemezzoes. My brother Ossie rated Allan Harris the greatest guitarist of his time and Alan Pillay as a piano genius. My brothers owe a lot of their love for music to my Uncle Bertie who played double bass and guitar by ear!!. Ossie, Tutu and Leslie brilliant musicians as well having played alongside the other greats - Samuel Abrahams, Gordon Godfreys, Roy Petersen. Certainly wonderful days - I have been blessed to have been a part of that.
Those were the days 0ld durban we miss you what a wonderful time we Indians and colourds had those days now i am living in sweden originally from Warwick Avenue greetings to my indian and colourd brothers and sisters
Times Music, Sam and the Latin Kings were Legends, Heard them play at the Moon Hotel in the 70,s Those were the Best days which will never be forgotten, Memories Will Live in Our Hearts Forever. Take Care.❤❤❤
My my this takes me far back in time and lots of memories when we lived in athna lane in Warwick avenue , by the way manna George 4th from left is my sister's late father in-law.
Awesome music. It was so good to be dressed in a black suite an bow tie and the ladies dressed in long evening gowns elegantly dressed for the evening on a Saturday night. It was beautiful and safe to be out on a Saturday night. But alas those days are only etched in our memory's. Joe
Sweet music, beautiful memories from the past.❤
