First time I went to the states in 89, we hired a skylark to tour the west coast. Biggest load of crap I've had the misfortune to drive, had to turn the Aircon off toget up hills.
But in the best American tradition, it never let us down !
I love these 1980s little buicks . My Aunt worked at the GM tech center here in warren Michigan back in the day and would bring new cars like this Home . and the grand am was fav I love your videos and your cars keep it up
was allll about luxery and whats today buick opel with buick coat
i love these old luxery cars.between 1988 and 1990 was best year of G.M
We've spoken a few times through comments on here, but rest assured, if the truck I'm looking for comes up on your lot, I will be making a call to you. I'm in Atlanta but I'm looking specifically for a 1980-1985 F100/150 short bed with a manual transmission. I've watched every new video since subscribing a few months ago and I trust your honesty more than most. You're the most honest seller I've come across. Keep up the good work, Nathan!
The N-body Skylarks were cool cars. Our family had two X-body Skylarks (1984 & 1985) and they were great despite the bad reputations. Both had the Iron Duke Tech 4 engines. The N-bodies were considered high tech cars and came equipped with the 2.5 iron duke, 2.3 Quad4, the 3.0 Buick V6 and later the 3.3 Buick V6. I would consider this generation a vast improvement over the X-bodies.
This looks sooo similar to what my dad used to have. He had a 1986 Buick Somerset...had all that digital stuff on it. I was very young when he had the car and he'd trick my brother and I and switch over to KM/H and made us think he was driving 100 MPH when it was really 100 KM/H....had over 300,000 miles on it when he got rid of it
The Buick Skylark was one of the General Motors N-body cars introduced in 1985. It was at first known as the Somerset Regal, and only came as a coupe for 1985. Oldsmobile called its version Calais (once a Cadillac name) and Pontiac named theirs Grand Am. For '86, sedans were added, and Buick picked up the Skylark name for the four-door, while the two-door kept the Somerset name until 1988, when it was called Skylark as well. The sales leader of all the N-bodies, however, was the Grand Am, and it remained so until the G6 replaced it in 2005.
Im browsing through the old videos lol
Very nice! It's almost like a time capsule! I like the 80s Buick era, And I love your videos! You have some of the rarest examples of 80s vehicles that I have ever seen!
Looks alot like the 86 Chevy Celebrity my dad back when we were little
Those were one of the most decent cars from General Motors back in the day.
man i love this little car. bet it will run forever
Gotta love your Buicks
thats one clean fisher body skylark nathan! love the interior kinda resembles the grand national with the shifter and steering wheel
Dunno why I've always liked these N-body cars.
Man that looks perfect for a 23 year old car. I am really impressed with the interior of this car. I don't know anybody in philly that still owns one of these. Fact is I never even saw one of these on the road before that I know of. I did see skylarks but not this type of design.
Surely looks brand new. Very nice find.
That's a nice, loaded machine!
if GM will still honor the recall, a re paint is free
WOW! I had a 1989 Skylark Luxury Edition that was first new car! I loved that thing. When I finally sold it and bought another car I had put 110,000 miles on it. I had the car for 7 years and mine was in waaaaay better condition than this car! Someone has abused this featured car. 26,000 original miles? Shit. It should be in waaay better condition.
i agree in that to.lot of great car came from general motors in the past.
in 1988 til 1992 i went to the ICC national east.i remeber iroc-z
caprice classic beretta corsica.70ts and 80ts grea time el camino impala your right
Gotta get another 1988 Buick Skylark
NOw if only you can find an 80's SKYHAWK!
I guess it's because they were styled well and had a lot of lux features for the size, as well as nice V6s.
I'm amazed at how frequently you find these old low mile gems. Do you still have the old orange Civic?
Looks nice. Figured it was a CA car. It would not be nearly as nice if it was in a snow belt state. Hope the new owner does not have issues with the electronic instruments.
rare car@! wished was a 2 door but dang I may buy it! a bit beat up
Goddamn i wish i had $3k for this car... This is also a great find.
you can change the tach to a temp gauge and other info as well if i am not mistaken right?
hey nathan could you tell me the name of the mustang place around 13:37 in the video??? thanks, and you have some incredible cars!
its original. i knew someone who had one new same type of sunroof
nice
Cereal cereal
Nice :)
my 1990 skylark lasted to 246,000 on one engine, so this car is built to last.
Brian
here is my other skylark, it lasted forever...

Do you still have this car? I am IMPRESSED, and would love to have a nicer skylark. I currently own a 1988 Skylark Custom with the 2.5L and it is a very nice car, Looks similar to yours, just needs a new engine, and it STILL RUNS, has been very reliable, I start it and drive it every week to keep it going, but I would rather have the V6 Limited, unless I find a good engine swap for my car. I LOVE the CONSOLE SHIFT!!! Mine does not have that!
Beautiful Buick.. 1988. Not 89
1988 is the last year of the 3.0 V6
Do they still sells parts for this car?
It's the 3300 v6 made by Buick
Actually it’s the 3.0 V6 made by Buick.
Wonder where this car is today
almost looks like a baby thunderbird
Is it an '88 or an '89? The caption says it is a 1989, but you described it as a 1988.
It's an 88...it has a 3100 V-6 and sealed beam headlights. Last year for that motor. I have an 89 with a 3300 V-6 and composite headlights.
any car old new exotic not exotic from opel to mustang any car need Maintenance any car need new fresh oil new parts.mi old corsa need new parts to
26000 mile what in the world!!!!!!! what did the previous owner use it for???? drving their children to the bus stop!!!!!!!!!????????
Exterior wise it looks an awful lot like a Chevy citation from back in the early 80s
Price $ ?
I think that's the Buick 3.0 or maybe the 3300 V6; I don't think it's the 3100.
ITs a 3.3L V-6
This is not an 89
sorry to tell you this old skylark look just like a light blue frog i just dont know why
It looked so much better when they refreshed the front and other minor thing.
How much?
Oh marie it was 10 freaking years ago why dont you go fill out your housing logs correctly instead of worrying about this
@@elgeneralxx you're mean.
Guy can't even say and type the model year to match!
Needs a paint job
