Has anyone done dyeing with garden balsam this way?

- This was on my bucket list for 2023. In the beginning of this year, I started an ambitious project. I bought some balsam seeds at a dollar store, planted them. But the project quickly went out of my control. It's been such a long time since I grew a plant. I think the last time I grew a plant was when I was in elementary school. Sadly, the plant withered, betraying my expectation. But it was still a meaningful experience! I tried something and failed! So I bought a balsam kit instead, and dyed my nails with it. It worked out fine! I feel good!

Eventhough the plant didn't survive, I still commend Yongsun unnie's dedication and care for the plant. It was alive for 7months and that's already amazing. You did great our Yongsunie.
Wow! I've never seen this before (although I know very little about nail painting). Is the color from grinding up the leaves? That's so cool! Even though the plant ended up not making it, but grew so well for such a long time. Don't feel badly about it and try again! Growing plants is not always a success, but there's so many things to learn. Fighting!

Even tho the challenge didn't ended as she planned, Solar did her best taking care of the plant! Overall, this was very interesting for me as I didn't know much about how you can paint your nails with balsam so thank you for showing us this!

I really liked how you committed to a long term project for such a small thing. Sorry it didn't succeed. I also really liked how you wanted to try something as an adult that you hadn't tried since a child. You may not be the bravest in a situation but you are certainly always bold enough to try.

Don't be discouraged! It is hard to succeed on your first try. You did very well, and seem to have the beginnings of a green thumb. You can just figure out what went wrong and fix it next time!

The effort she made in planting it and really do it from scratch is already worth applauding because as we all know how busy her schedule is. Although the plant withered she manage to still do something about it keeping a positive outlook for her project. It is actually cute like going back to your younger self dying your nails cause your not yet suppose to have nail polish on it. I remember eating colored candies that stains your lips so you feel like you put on a lipstick. 😅

I love that Solar always tries new things, and that they don’t always work out as planned makes me feel braver to try new things as well.
I like that she is transparent when things do not work out well. A lot of other people would remove the footage of the failed plant, but Solar includes it which shows her authentic experience and a more realistic life.
Maybe it can be a project for next year instead. Hope it will turn out better next time (if there is a next time). Either way, looks so adorable 🥰
