Even though these aren't the most exciting videos, the more we make of these 'normal' journeys, I hope it just demonstrates it really is that straightforward! You have another subscriber!
indeed, I got a lot of confidence from this sort of video before I bought my first EV so I know the value of them even though they may seem dull to those of us already converted.
Good for you. EV is the new normal and even though my driving days are done at age 74 I am so proud of you for your support of all EV platforms. I was born in Montrose, lived in Aberdeen most of my life and ended up just south east of the village of Fyvie in Saint John's Wells. How I would have loved an EV back then and not a noisy Puguot desel van.
Enjoyed all your videos mate. Collecting an Enyaq vRS coupe this week and your channel has been really informative. I’m in Aberdeen so might bump into you at a charge station at some point. 😂
Thank you for your excellent interesting and helpful videos. I have just acquired an iv 60 and really like it, it’s my first EV - I had a very nice top spec MONDEO VIGNALE 180HP 2 Litre diesel with automatic gearbox before but I really really prefer my enyaq - Its so nice to drive, smooth deliberate instant torque is great, my wife is yet to drive it but I’m sure she’ll love it. So I am starting off in minus temp conditions and have been granny charging whilst waiting for an Ohme on octopus intelligent smart meter tariff. Could you tell me the make of your mobile phone holder - I love the way it seems to be fixed to the rear of the info display panel. Have just used a Tesla supercharger which was great and am gaining confidence for long journeys and you have been smashing it with your trips as shown on your many videos! Thanks once again, keep the videos coming👍😉
Thank you, great to hear they're helpful, I know when I first got an ev I found videos like these very helpful. The phone holder is a miracase bracket. I got out on amazon when I had a tesla but I don't think amazon sell it any more.
Still enjoying your videos, always something interesting to learn. You always seem to achieve decent mile/kw figures. I don't seem to get better than 2.8 even if I try to drive "economically". (I generally drive "enthusiastically" - no difference.) I run 21" wheels - does it make that much of a difference? To be fair I don't particularly care about the mileage and I enjoy all the toys in the car (heated seats/wheel/a/c) at all times. BTW loving the 3.0(?) update, Satnav now much nicer, instrument cluster data too. Brilliant car.
It’s true, you can get caught out if you need to make an unplanned journey in an EV. I’m always trying to convince my wife that we should charge up over night even if we have 50, 60% left, just in case. We’re lucky we can charge over night at home, but appreciate not everyone can.
I’m thinking of getting the enyaq for my next car but I live in Aberdeenshire so it gets cold I cannot afford to get the heat pump option I wonder how to warm the battery up
The heat pump doesn't heat the battery. The new model year 2024 Enyaqs have battery preheating available by pressing a switch manually, or if you navigate to a charger it will do it automatically as a Tesla will. If it's a pre 2024 the only way to get the battery temp up is by accelerating really hard and regen braking over (yoyo driving) to heat the battery up.
The heat pump makes your cabin heating more efficient, it doesn't warm the battery. The 2024 models can pre warm the battery. My new car doesn't have a heat pump but can warm the battery.
Watched all your videos and helped my decision making. I’ve Just had my Enyaq 60 for a week and still can’t find how to change driving modes seam to be in ECO mode how would I change to Norm? So far the dealer doesn’t seem to know and I don’t have a button on the lower bar as indicated in one of the videos? Loving the car. Has anybody got any ideas?
How did your new all season tyres perform in these storm conditions? Will need to replace my original Bridgestones in the next few months and thinking of all seasons.

my dad was still driving at 87! Age is just a number (so they say) :)
Good to see an uneventful- eventful journey. I’m increasingly travelling without much planning now (except when towing).🎉
Just an editing comment, be mindful of the sound level of the outro, it was way louder than the preceding speaking segment.
Thanks I'll have a look, it's the same on all my videos unless I managed to change something by accident!

Sorry, only just spotted this and a bunch of other comments that weren't flagged to me. Hope you're enjoying the new car
The fact the tagline is 'Will I make it'?, fully expecting it to do the clickbait job, is all you need to know about the state of EV trust today.

The wheel size fits make a difference but I've no idea how much. I have the 19 inch wheels. I agree about the update it was a big improvement

my point was, this was a long trip in terrible conditions and I was unprepared - but it wasn't an issue
@@enyaq_gormI think you proved it wasn’t the end of the world very well.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

If there's no button then you don't have modes as far as I know
Thanks, as I suspected but I thought all EV’s came with the 3 modes.
@@gramamg100 I don't think there's a standard set of features across all EVs, just like fossil cars, the specification varies from car to car.

the've been excellent, were flawless in deep snow on the motorway last weekend. I was driving before snowploughs had been up the motorway
@@enyaq_gormhave the all season typers had any discernible effect on efficiency?
No @@TimGillott not that I've been able to see.
