I don't understand why a new iPhone 12 has these weird glitches, you would think they'd fix everything by now! Anyway, thank you for your video!! It helped. After the combination, I had to hold the power button a realllly long time.

Thank you so so so much. I woke up and my phone screen was staying ‘off’ so I assumed I hadn’t plugged it in fully, but then it would buzz based on being plugged in and buttons. This worked perfectly.
Also thank you for demonstrating how long you have to hold the power button - I was following along with you and it definitely took to the end of that, where I might have given up if I just read the explanation somewhere.

This happened to my phone in the middle of the night. I woke up and tried to check on something, but the screen would not wake up. My bluetooth ear buds were still connected, as I could hear clicks and stuff, but couldn't get the screen to come on. I gave it a couple hours of charging, but still wouldn't come on. Came to my laptop and found this video. Worked perfectly! Thank you so much!

We had a lot of power outages overnight (while my new iPhone was being recharged). When I got up in the morning the phone wouldn´t start and I feared that it had been frazzled by a power surge - despite the power surge protector and all.
Before I raced off to the Apple store in a panic, I did a quick search on the internet and found this video. Saved me a lot of time and stress, so thank you again.
I also have to say that I agree with some other commentators who point out that this is a very strange glitch and you´d have thought that Apple could have done something by now to prevent it happening to so many people.
What if it still doesn’t work. I’ve tried all of this for over 15 times. And nothing. I still hear my phone ring and other notifications

After numerous tries it finally worked. I thought for sure that the screen was cooked and I thought I had a good diagnosis of it’s failure but it arose from the dead. I still am going to remove a anti UV protective screen cover that was to dark and made me keep pushing the brightness up. And I will also quit using my Wireless overnight charging. The phone is always very warm in the morning. Hopefully looking to get just a few more months out of it. Thanks For This Great Information.
