Showcase Miniatures is hands down one of my favorite companies. Little mom and pop shop, Debbie is always so quick at replying to emails and is so kind, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!!
Yes, I have built several of their cars metal vehicle kits. Always a fun challenge and always amazing details. 👍🏼 Which is your favorite kit of theirs?
Was already a member of the Showcase Miniatures site but don't recall having ordered from them in past. Verified my account, validated my profile and I am so getting that barn (HO scale). Thanks for sharing the video! It is an awesome looking barn!
The barn turned out really nice.Looking forward to the building of the farm scene. Not sure if I would have the patience or skill to build something like that though.
Very nice work! The warping wasn't to bad for it sitting for a year! I do like those blocks. Ill have to pick some up from your link. I just bought a few wood kits.
Ron, Just a suggestion. I work at a smaller Box Store and we get furniture from Ashley and other furniture suppliers. The styrofoam that is packed with the furniture, tables and chairs are just throwed away. I have thrown away blocks of 6"x6"x8" -- 1/4"x12"x24" or larger 2"x2"x24" and longer blocks. I just think this could be used by your followers and others. Go with the attitude of I'm going to save you room in your dumpster or even save the landfill by the amount I take for my railroad layout. I was told I could take all I wanted for FREE. Sense I'm 73 and getting out of railroading I just thought I would pass this information on. My layout is HO but your N scale program gives a lot of useful information that can be used for both.
Great looking results Bro Ron. I built the Quality Craft barn with modifications a few years ago. I also use wood glue for wooden kits. Are you planning to mount this to a removable wood base? The thin posts on the sides look very fragile. The QC kit had very robust enclosed sides witch is good because it is used in train show set ups. Happy modeling.
So this question is unrelated to this video, awesome barn by the way. I noticed you are using MRC Prodigy DCC. Could you possibly do a video on that system. I'm looking into getting DCC, have been looking at the Digitrax Zephyr with wireless throttle. After 30yrs of armchair model railroading, I'm finally putting together an n scale shelf layout.
MRC is coming out with some new, upgraded components later this year, so I may donate video then...but honestly I bought MRC Prodigy Advance when it first came out because it was less expensive and I could afford it. It would be $$$ for me.to change now, and MRC works fine...but, if I were starting today I would go with NCE.
I have a drop in dcc sound board for n scale gp7, can you tell me which model or year atlas came out with the split frame drop in decoder ,not the hard wired one ,should I look for a special number or year , thanks

The discontinued Wally’s Filling station. I intend on getting their wrecker and a few others soon.
Glad to see you back Ron!
I love Showcase Minitures and the detail they provide for N scale. Makes me feel like the HO boys. Happy to see you working on their kit.
Great video
Hey Ron, I drive across the panhandle every year and I see plenty of corn fields
I saw a few corn fields in Arizona so I'm sure there may be some. In Texas

Hey, Joe. Wood kits are a lot of fun. Enjoy.
Great work Ron, looks great. that N scale stuff is too small for me, i might have to switch from HO to G or 7-1/2 if my eyesight gets any worse lol

I do not plan to use a wood base at present as I am planning on a dirt floor, but we will see how that goes. Video to come.
Neat looking addition to the layout!
Beautiful work!
Looks kinda like the “Days of Thunder” barn
